crazy to see how similar brian and michael's dribbling styles are. the body posture, how they drag the ball with their instep, how they take the ball on the outside of the player. just incredible players.
Probably our best team ever, Jørgensen played for Udinese and later Milan, sand become Bundesliga topscorer for Schalke and won the title there several times, lethal attack, Jørgensen(forward left and right), M Laudrup(playmaker) B Laudrup(forward left and right) and Sand(striker), Jørgensen and B Laudrup were both double footed, ambidesxtous, would constantly switch sides whenever they attacked to confuse the defense.
@@jbagger331 Player for player the 80's team was better. The 1998 team played better as a team tho in my opinion. The 80's teams bottom level was alot worse than the 98 team. Their top level might have been better tho.
Fahad Ahmad Yes,and If you saw their father, Finn Laudrup, you would see exactly the same moves. Unfortunately next generation does not match the standards.
If he was around today I wonder how much he'd be worth. Thankfully rangers had him when we did because he'd probably be way above our price range today unless he came on a free
I can believe it. Though the Dutch also gave them a tough game and should really have won based on the amount of chances that they missed. Dutch were unlucky to lose on penalties.
@@jamesmason8436 Yeah the dutch national team was amazing. I swear they have been cursed since they won the euro cup on 88 lol. But it's kinda like Belgium. It's kinda sad they havent won anything with the team they have.
L équipe du Danemark était dans les meilleurs dans les années 80 s 90s et le Danemark 1998 l une des plus belles de toute l histoire du football Très sous-évaluée elle méritait la coupe du monde 1998
On paper the danish national team from 80 was better. It was full of stars from the champions clubs of Europe. Maybe they did not had Brian and Smeichel, But they had soo many other stars. Imagine a middlefield of Jan Mølby, Allan Simonsen, Søren Lerby, Michael Laudrup, Frank Arnesen, Jesper Olsen competing for the same places in the team. Although they did not had Smeichel, they still had some of the best defensive players of Europe, Morten Olsen as leader. Who played in Anderlecth who had a defensive that was effective as a clock. May not be so well known Ivan Nielsen and Søren Busk. On top they had Elkjær as a finisher. Does not get better than that, the attacking flair of that team was out of this world. They did not fight big teams, they smashed them with huge scores. They did something I have never seen before and never since. They could play a match with first touch passes only. Completely own the opponent. They embarrassed the Easter Germany team so much in a training match, that the trainer got furious about it. He feared retaliations from the opponents and the vital players would get injuries. That is how they won against SouthAmericans teams which was very individual playing teams. They just play around them.
i personally thought this was an excellent performance in a high tempo game against the best players in the world. Funny thing is i don't even think Brian was fully fit in world cup 98 as he had injuries before with Rangers and had injuries after with Chelsea lol
Nice football, lousy picture. Why is some of the top and some of the bottom missing? Very disturbing, that you cannot see heads, feet and ball in some situations.
Was gutted it didn't work out for him at my club, Chelsea. Was so excited when he signed along with Casiraghi and Deasilly, especially off the back of this World Cup. No idea why it didn't work out, but fitting him and Zola into the same team was part of the problem. Recall he had injuries as well, but still feel it all ended too soon.
@B really? But he went on to have such a great World Cup that summer. Shame as he was still quite young at 29, but his career post Rangers was poor. You definitely saw the best of him: quality footballer.
@@jamesmason8436 he played well in Chelsea games, vialli the manager at the time was praising his performances. He left on his own accord claiming he wanted to go home. But Laudrup didn't like Chelsea's squad rotation system. Weird. He played well post Chelsea at Ajax though.
I detest the way commentators laud Brazil they are amongst the dirtiest players and tacklers out there, if anyone else can remember the team that competed in the World Cup in Germany they kicked their opponents more times than they kicked the ball
