Great story-telling!👍But this case was so convoluted and entangled that it was one of the very rare times I had to slow down the speed to 0.75 to follow the plot. For most videos, especially when people talk s-l-o-w-l-y, I have to speed it up to 1.5 or even 2.0 to save time. So thank you very much for your short and sweet recaps!

I don't know, I think Carolyn was codependent. Among other things. She just wasn't going to let go.
When I first saw the picture of Betty, she was a pretty fresh-faced girl. And poor pitiful Carolyn, I don't find her to be attractive at all. She looks a bit like an ostrich.

Therefore, having an affair with someone else and in order to get rid of another "she-fool" - his wife, he framed the first "she-fool": he killed one "she-fool", put another "she-fool" behind bars, and he enjoys life. Very simple.

Thanks for another great weekend upload! I actually think that Paul could have set Caroline up. If you spend time around someone if they don't take their cell phone to the bathroom and they're hanging out at her place and she takes a shower, for example, Paul would have had time to go on Caroline's phone and make a call asking about the bullets. They're just looking at the record of the phone call not necessarily the idea that the proprietor would remember who called from what number when in terms of male or female.
Also, Paul had motive with big life insurance policies and he obviously is a scumbag and relatively clever so I actually would pin it on him. It's possible that it was Caroline, but there's certainly reasonable doubt in this case. Obviously haven't heard all the evidence, but I wonder if Paul's the one who should have served time for this murder or if it was actually Caroline. Another one of those crazy ultimately unprovable cases. Although it looks like the state did their job for her to have gotten the time.❤

The Fatal Attraction female villain theme didnt age well though. He had an affair with her, got her pregnant then tried to get her to have an abortion.

    Thanks for the recap.
Carolyn's history of bad behavior towards other women who are involved with men that she wanted suggests that she is guilty. I think the jury made the right decision.
That she seemed to chase men who were not highly ethical means that she set herself up for these kinds of problems. On the other hand, maybe men of good ethics saw her as toxic and avoided her.
When you said that four people in the first trial voted "innocent," I tend to think that these jurors may have been split between those who saw her as innocent and those who thought that she might be guilty but that the prosecution hadn't met the burden of proof.

I think Carolyn did it. She obviously has something wrong with her since she is a fatal attraction kind of person. I think she didn't want it to go the way her other relationships went so she took matters into her own hands. JMO, I see why the jury found her guilty.

To me, it looks like either or both could have done it, but based on what was included in this video, there’s not enough evidence to convict either one
