The wonderful thing about horses, dogs and most animals they heal well on their own. I cared for a young filly who had her breast split open by a jealous mare who kicked her. Irresponsible owners. I’m an MD who spoke with the closest vet…250 miles away in Nevada desert. He said just to cut off extra flap and leave her alone. No anesthesia just cut! Really. She was put in a separate paddock and all she had was a thin white scar vertical on her chest. This pupper would have healed on own. Just love, nutrition and protection!
In the video with Den and the two goldens, it says you adopted Den. In this video it says you're fostering her. I hope you are adopting her because now these dogs are her fam. And so are you. :)
@@droolingfangirl Firstly it's to convince the puppy it's safe. They're all different. This one obviously had both mental and physical scars. All went well. These guys know dogs. That's why all their animal friends live in harmony.... ❤
That poor dog has really suffered. But your dogs are so gentle and patient. What a beautiful sight to she her let her guard down, and allow the other dogs show her that she is safe. Thank you for helping her and all of your fur members.
Bobbi is soooo patient. Love how Bobbi was also trying to get the other pup to come back and play by doing the mom grab on the back of the neck 😂..and THAT pup also patient...Den was chewing on his ears and he didn't even care ❤
It's funny how even though he's much bigger than the other dogs, Bobi plays gently with them and knows when to pull back a bit. I hope they all get along great real soon. I look forward to notifications of your videos. Thank you!
Dont forget not to show favouritism. Dont forget to pet your own dog at the same time after all you have bought a stranger into his home and you are protecting him. Your Huskie is beautiful ❤they are all beautiful ❤
Yeah. Bobi was extremely patient and sweet considering the tiny stranger barking at him was on HIS territory. Generally, dogs should meet on neutral territory first.
My dog heard little Den barking and came running from the other room. She normally doesn't react much to tv, but she could hear the pain and fear in the puppies voice and acted like she needed to help her. I'm so glad you saved this little baby and helped her be a real dog again. I can't believe how horrible people can be to animals...
A great story of learning what it means to be loved. Sweet Den. We adopted our last foster dog and we have two kitties and it’s as if he doesn’t even notice they are here. It worked out really well in a way because his previous four adopted families had either, abused, beaten or abandoned the little guy. He’s been with us nearly ten years and he still has “moments” where he will snap at someone. But for the most part he’s the best little dog ever. He’s a big daddy’s boy and is with him all day and night. It’s rather sweet. I’m hoping Den is able to forget or push back all those bad times and live a long and healthy life surrounded with his cute little pack!!♥️🐶
So wonderful to see Den relax and realize she has a whole bunch of friends to play and be with, and caring humans to help her heal. She's been through a lot for such a young, small dog. Blessings for such a great family.
Given their mostly correct reputation for stubbornness and dominance (it's a feature!), when you find a Husky with a kind gentle soul, it's a top of the line beautiful soul.
Thanks a lot for this rescue please take care of this puppe hé hast such a horrible life till now hé hast to live a good life now with you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, you guys have your hands full, what a beautiful bunch of babies you have. And to the EVIL person that inflicted those wounds on that defenceless animal, You'll get what's coming to you.
Are all these dogs forsters or are you the owners? You are special people and big hearts Poor Den with those sours. But, you help her/him get through this with love and patience 🙏 your dogs are loved and safe 💓
As I'm watching this and looking at Den's wounds, no wonder she was so defensive! My wish for Den is that those wounds heal, and her emotional scars heal. I hope that you do adopt her; she's been through enough!
The pack took over and accepted Den. Bobi laying down on his back in a totally submissive position and playing with the other dogs was the turning point.
When we brought our little guy (Gillie), a Lab/Aussie mix that we rescued from an unwanted litter, home 4.5 years ago, we introduced him to our Rotty/Chow-Chow mix, Duke. As Duke, at 107 lbs. approached him, he sat down and howled in fear. Duke gave him his space, and in two days, they were taking naps together. Within two more days, Gillie was being a typical puppy and playing with Duke. Duke was always good to and for him. I guess Duke was paying it forward, because when he was a puppy, another Lab/Aussie mix we had (Dizzy) was good to and for him. Three years later, Duke passed. RIP, Duke. RIP, Dizzy. Live long and be happy, Gillie!
Good job I would agree in not showing favoritism and I would also always remain cautious with Den I have a foster fail, who is likely abused by other dogs who got along lovingly with my pup that had been with me for 10 years by the time my foster fail came to be with us After two years, my foster fail suddenly became dog, aggressive food, aggressive, and toy aggressive Never let your guard down and never assume that everything is always OK There will still be that underlying fear that Den will need to overcome
I don't know if it happened off-camera and was just not filmed, but in the first two days, we don't see any interaction between Bobi and the lady holding Den. IF they actually did not interact, that was the mistake. Animals take many cues from the people around them, especially when they are uncertain. When you want two animals to get along, correct human interactions are critical to achieve success. You must show BOTH animals that you care for them-- both so the other animal can see this and to reassure them they are still loved. This makes them aware of two things. #1 that the other animal is also cared for (otherwise they may take them as an interloper) and #2 that the other animal can be trusted. Also, you must STOP any aggression immediately. Letting Den bark and growl at Bobi without "hushing" her was also wrong. Allowing any unwanted behavior is always a mistake. This reinforces that bad behavior and it becomes twice as difficult to stop in subsequent exchanges.
It would have been better to have Den in a safe space like an X pen and let the larger dog smell. By sitting Den on your wife’s lap, it is actually practicing a bit of resource guarding. And yes, dogs can and do resource guard humans. Then gradually allow them direct interaction
I love Berry and Bobi! You shouldn't keep Den in your lap, though. Since she is attached to your wife, she is doing what is called resource guarding, which is a big no to do with dogs and should be corrected. Glad she opened up and let Bobi in her heart. please give Berry, Bobi and Den gently snoot boops from me!
There's a balance She's a puppy and she's being abused horribly so she has puppy energy and the puppies need to be stimulated metally, socially, physically etc. and she also needs to work through and heal from her trauma and abuse. The couple can monitor her activity and make sure that she (& her injuries) stays safe while also providing the enrichment all puppies need and the trauma-healing she needs. There's risk in letting her play with the open wounds, but there's also risk in allowing her to sit immersed in fear her trauma and abuse
Did you notice that sometimes she plays with her little jacket on? This is to protect the really bad sores. Most of them seem to be in the end stretch of healing. I do not believe that her new humans (mom and dad) would put her healing at risk. Love and playing with the family pack of dogs is very, very important for her emotional healing. So please be at ease, Den is in very safe and caring hands. 🤗
@@gracesiegel7849 excellent point. Thanks for replying. I definitely didn’t think her new mum and dad were abusing her, just didn’t understand how it worked.❤️

The puppy thinks it is guarding the human from the dog. If you would try introducing them outside and not hovering over the pup, it probably would’ve gone better the first time.
