swans are built for cold- they have thick down feathers. Here in the upper midwest where it can get to minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit, they have no problems at all. They need open water and food in the winter- so they spend the winters in area where there is open water. Do you feed them during the winter?
The swans are not fed. They rely on food in the water and waste grains left after harvest in frozen fields nearby.
