- Advocate J Sai Deepak, representing respondent Bharatiya Stree Shakti while speaking over the Supreme Court’s verdict on same-sex marriage explained the judgment’s complexities and preferable steps the Government will adopt to address the issue without going for legislative amendments of special marriage act.
A five-judge SC bench in a 3:2 majority verdict ruled that for LGBTQIA+ couples there is no unqualified right to marriage. The court, however, said that the judgement will not preclude the right of Queer persons to enter into relationships. The apex court also said that the challenge to the Special Marriage Act (SMA) on the ground of under-classification is not made out.
He said, “"I think the other side may prefer a review or a reference on certain legal questions, I am not sure of it though. I think the Government may want to look at what kind of operational issues it can address without going for legislative amendments of the SMA (Special Marriage Act) because ultimately on the question of legislative amendments of SMA because it involves the question of revisiting the institution of marriage...The in-between measure could be that it recognises certain civil unions without giving it the same status as marriage and also has a different regime if they wish to adopt. Child Health experts will have to be considered. I think the Government as well as the Parliament may perhaps constitute a committee..."

The Atharvaveda makes a specific reference to abortion. It suggests (VII, 113.3; VII 112.3) that a greater sinner does not exist than the one who practices abortion. The Satapatha Brahmana (III, 1.2.21) compares those who facilitate abortion - one who has “expelled the embryo from a woman” - to those who eat the flesh of a cow.
The decision is still very unorganised...there are many upcoming issues that's may born as a result of this judgement within the society in which they'll live...for ex in reference to the adoption by nonhetrosexuals...

According many ancient hindu customs inter caste marriages and inter religious marriages were not allowed. Sati and child marriages were prevalent, perhaps do u want to adopt them now?
Religion should evolve with time. Hindus have evolved and given up lots of religious malpractices that had crept in over time. A childless couple can take a child in Dattak rituals. If progeny is the purpose of marriage, why can't a gay couple say, we want to raise a child and contribute something good to society? A gay couple that is educated, well-placed and has family support can give an orphan child a much better life than he gets in the streets.

There was a recent case in America where 2 gay guys who were living together had adopted 2 boys. Later it got revealed that they were raping those boys and forcing them to do sexual acts with their other gay friends and putting up those videos on select sites for money. Cji might think innocently that all homosexual couples are so pious and great that they'll do the right things for the children they adopt, but he needs to read more about crimes committed against those adopted children. And if live in heterosexual couples are also allowed to adopt, what happens when they casually break up? This is not a pet dog that they can take in whenever they feel and then leave when there is a break up. If they can't even commit to a relationship and marry, what's the guarantee that they can commit to something even greater like parenthood? A lot of things need to be considered instead of just blindly aping the west thinking it to be great. A certain section of conservative America has started saying maybe eroding of their family values with couples having children outside wedlock, etc has resulted in a lot of social issues. This is one is the main platforms of the republican party in fact. Questions must be invited from all stakeholders of society before making laws involving children.
