💯 % correct on the talking so much in between songs 😵💫 I did the live sound for a female singer songwriter who talked so much about her songs and never read the room and had to play every single song she ever wrote 🤕
Agree (in part) > Especially #! w/talking; *Suggestion: Have somewhat of a 'ccol image' - Don't look like a schlub, make the most out of your appearance, etc etc
I had a friend who opened a show for an internationally known artist/R&R HoF inductee. Half way through my friend’s set, he called out to the audience asking who was there to see him - not the headliner. My friend had drawn a lot of people to the show and naturally, they cheered. After that opening set, the artist’s road manager ripped my friend a new one for making his guy look bad. My friend deserved to be admonished. He came across as a disrespectful a-hole.
