As an old TTag1 and T5 player, I agree. Old school Hwoarang is so fun the watch, I tried to do the same, but failed lol. But Goddammit it looks so fun to watch
After seeing Hwoarang get destroyed by Eyemusician in multiple sets i was already expecting him to lose haha, probably being overly conclusive but he seemed like he he's too much of a party animal that stays in his spammy Hwoarang comfort zone without thinking about risks
Super Hwoarang is a very interesting Hwoarang player, but I don't think he's better than Yeonarang or Asellas. Asellas is still the best Hwoarang player, IMO. A perfect balance between crazy, stylish and fundamentally conservative. Too bad he hasn't been playing Tekken.
@Heyheyday66 I love speedkicks, hes an amazing dude. But the aforementioned players would wipe the floor with speedkicks with hwo. However i dont doubt speedkicks would learn so muc playing against them
MadDogJin is the best Hwoarang, period. Asellas got pretty wrecked the last time I had seen him in a mirror Deathmatch with Yeonarang (btw he still plays Tekken from time to time). Yeonarang is too fundamental and boring to watch.
I can say this set when I watched it last year, has completely changed the way I play Hwoarang and Tekken in general. How can someone lose when they've got so much skill on display?? because defense is WAAAAAAYYYYY better than offense. Its like one of those fighting movies where the hero has to fight the hidden Asian boss of the camp and the Asian does like 3 back flips and 7 different stances, but the hero ends up just one punching the guy.
Be careful trying to show off in tekken, underestimating your opponent and trying to embarrass them can backfire on that azz Quick!! Trust me I learned the hard way but also I put a few in their place
