Too many times I get teams who fail to realize when they're in over their heads and refuse to sell their lives dearly. Too many people think that being caught out means just dying as quickly as possible to go back into the garage and into the next match. To those people I say:
*No.*
If you're going to fall, make the Red team pay for every meter they advance. Sometimes making your opponent pay that price can turn games in your favor when the bill comes due at the end and suddenly they don't have the HP to play it safe and have to do something risky. I've been the average Joe who punched the garage tickets of opposing unicum players to win the match because the rest of my team forced that unicum to give up HP, consumables, etc. to get where he was.

Running away is really an option only when there is meaningful distance and/or you are in a fast tank.
Once you push up to the top of Himmelsdorf, if they simultaneously come around both sides of the tower, you likely won't be able to run.
What won the game for us is us staying alive long enough for our AMX 30B to farm the heck out of them with flanking fire on the ground at D3.
I'd like to speak on this topic again, having lived it out again recently. Fighting a Lakeville encounter in my Pilot 1, the flexible but lightly armored Tier 8 American premium medium, I ended up brawling it out in the village, losing equipment and crew with every hit I took. At one point, I was down to less than 200 HP, and I could've just given up since we were already three tanks down at that point, but, as I said to those who would simply give up: *no* . I repaired my equipment, kept fighting, and eventually won that brawl with the help of a couple of other hardy survivors who were also on their last few hit points.
We were broken, battered, and I think the M56 Scorpion next to me may have been a hallucination (he was hanging on to just 3 HP!), but we held out long enough for the rest of our team to find the enemy artillery and tank destroyers, take out their last surviving spotting medium, and win the match with six surviving tanks, including my own beat-up Pilot 1.
Never give up, even when hope seems lost. I am an average yellow-level player in XVM, and I still helped my team win that fight even after our unicum players were taken out by tank destroyers. You are capable of greater feats than you think you are.
agreed... at least it lift some weight off the team and who knew we might actually won because of it

Hi Taugrim, I get the feeling that you tend to like mediums and lights but do play heavies as well. Would you consider making a video or videos that can help a player used to playing mediums/lights to be able to play heavy tanks decently as well? I know this is probably a niche request but there seems to be very little content around it.
I am an average-ish player who has been focusing mainly on medium and light tanks. I just got my first two tier 10 medium tanks, and am pretty close to my first tier 10 light -- but every time I have tried a heavy, I have done relatively badly. I am used to having vision and concealment, and I guess I just don't know what to change about my playstyle when I play a heavy.

Example, everyone heads to a West flank and leaves the east completely open except 2. those two tanks die and now the rest of the team is caught in a crossfire any suggestions on how to stop lemming trains or being able to manipulate the battle

Taugrim Recently I got back into the game., for bettyer or for worse.. I find I am much better at turretless destroyers that other tanks. Cna you do a masterclass about them pls? For me Its destroyesrs > light tanks (acitove or passive) > medium tanks > heavy tanks, rated to win rate.

@@jamescook242 you can spam gold all you want, if you can’t aim and don’t know where to shoot. It won’t do you any good. I shoot a good bit of gold especially when I see a tank I know I won’t pen like every time. And I mean my WN8 is 3000-3500 consistently. I still carry AP all my super sweaty super uni friends literally only carry gold😂 and I play on PS4 not PC I know my stuff in this game and I feel like people complaining about gold rounds is just kinda stupid. They’re in the game good players will abuse them. And with all the shit players in this game gold rounds limit the RNG so 🤷🏻♂️
