We travel in a Hiker Trailer (5 x 8 square drop) and are camping later in the season. We have been looking at Bluetti because of its compact size for the amount of power produced. We need to run a small heater and/or electric blanket for November weather comfort. We are also planning some extensive trips across country and a power station would allow us to use public lands more often.
We live in the PNW and camp two different ways. We camp state parks in our 17bh trailer and never have hookups. We also just started dispersed camping around St. Helens and Rainier this year so back to a tent! Our son camps with us, he has Down syndrome and doesn't like to camp bare bones so we have a 700w AllPowers battery bank for him to run a usb lightbulb, charge his dvd player, our cell phones and it charges his mp3, DS player and such. It is an amazing tool! We are thinking about getting another power back, a "medium" size to run one of the camp fridge/coolers. That would sure make things easier and alleviate the quest for ice we always seem to be on with normal coolers. One thing I'd like to mention that made going back to tent camping really kinda bouge for me and I wouldn't do it without it... A Trelino toilet. OMG! Game changer for us women, kids or people with special needs. Not cheap, but oh so worth it. You'll have to check it out, something that van life people use, a travel separator toilet. Love your videos btw, loved the one with Where's Wiseman, I follow them too. PNW for the win!
I'll have to check out that toilet. Hadn't heard of it, but it sounds like a good idea! Thanks so much for the feedback on the channel. Love to hear it! Matt & Emily are great people :)
We live the PNW Where we disperse camp with our friend and your AC70 would be a perfect fit which will help keep everything charged up plus this is exactly what I'm needing before our next trip to MT Rainer with our friends and family!
Currently using a EcoFlow river pro 750 W power station and it’s been working pretty good but for longer trips, looking at upgrading to a bigger size I have been looking in Blue tti thank you for sharing 😊
A 1500 or so is perfect. Plenty of power for multiple days but not too much to lug around for a weekend. You can get by for a long time with some charge while driving and or a couple of solar panels. We love all of your gear review videos. A ton of practical advice.
@@OverlandUnderground thanks! And yeah, I agree ... charging while driving and solar while at camp can make something around 1500 watts last pretty much indefinitely
Love your videos! You guys are one of the reasons we started overlanding since you are in Washington, too! We borrowed a rooftop tent last year and now were wanting to get our own stuff. A powerstation would be awesome to start off so we could power lights, a cooler, and some kitchen gadgets!
I have a 300 watt power station and as you mentioned in your video it’s size is only good to keep cell phones charged. My wife is starting to camp more with me and after watching your video is a good indicator of how much bigger of a power station I need to keep her and I out camping longer. Thank you.
"We like big banks and we cannot lie, you other campers can't deny. That when a girl drives in with an itty bitty rig and big bank in your face you get sprung....." sorry ran out of steam and that was horrible 😅😅😅 But great video. We'll take one of each 🍻🤘🏻🔥 Of everything! Been using our ac50s for years and love it! No complaints 👌🏻
I have a Jackery 240 and it is definitely not enough. The 1000 or the 2340 would amazing. I would fall on the side of bigger is better. I have hated the constant stress of charging it up. The AC70 looks awesome. I’ve been looking at it for a while!
I'm still rocking a 100ah agm battery. Reliable but super heavy. I would love to upgrade to a lighter lithium battery with a more efficient inverter. I think a 85-100ah power station would be ideal for my type of camping.
Thanks for the product tips. I am researching for a camper van and would choose the large Bluetti to prioritize cooking, heating, and refrigeration with electricity, avoiding propane altogether. I might also choose a small Bluetti to use outside the van. Thanks.
I'm a big Bluetti fan. I started small and moved up adding larger power stations as time went on. I have an EB55 and just bought two AC180s for home. I use them as UPS for my fridge and chest freezer during storms. I live on an island on the coast and we can sometimes go days without power. Don't forget solar panels! I have two 200W Bluetti. I am waiting for the Charger 1 to arrive. That way in an extended power outage I can re-charge if solar is ineffective. I think that AC70 would be a great addition to keep the fridge running allowing for even longer trips The small power station is enough to keep my camp fridge running easily over the weekend.
@@WheretoNextOverland I watched a video where the Charger1 was put into a "pelican" case for portable use and easily transferring between vehicles using jumper cable ends. My plan is to use Anderson connectors instead of the alligator clips and run a dedicated line to the cargo area and plug the Charger1 into that. If I sell the vehicle, I can keep the Charger1! Using a short bit of a jumper cable and another Anderson it can be used on anyone's vehicle with ease.
Medium is my choice for my use case. I have used a smaller one and run a fridge for a few days, but as in most things, you never have enough power. Adding a larger, medium sized station, along with a smaller one for devices has been the sweet spot for our trips.
@@WheretoNextOverland fixed my typos. lol. My small one is still a 500wh unit, so it has enough power to run things like a diesel heater for a night, or pellet smoker while off grid as well.
We have had a Jackery 500 for a few years but we have been considering making the switch to Bluetti for a while now. The AC70 would be a great upgrade and the perfect size for our weekend car camping trips!
We use the Bluetti EB3A or Baby Bluetti. Right now it works perfect for us. Keeps our little fridge going, warms lunch in the Hot Logic and runs the internet when the power goes out. 😊
I believe the AC180/P would be the best for powering a fridge for shorter excursions here in the PNW. Then I can test out what works best for me before (eventually) committing to a second battery set up!
Interested in a power station. Don’t have one but something large enough to charge drone batteries, fridge and cell phones for a 1 or 2 day trip. Thanks for the suggestion!
Bluetti fan. We have an AC200p with auxiliary battery in our van. In addition, have the AC50B for quick trips or just going for a picnic. The AC70 would be a great addition to our van.
We use our ac180 for basically everything. It came in very handy for the 2 hurricanes we went through in Florida. We will be upgrading to an AC240 for more power during the hurricanes. The AC180 will stay in the gladiator for overlanding. We live BLUETTI, great video
Medium size for us. We have a 1000w Honda that we want to replace with a Power Station for our multi day trips. My Wife loves her Selk Bag. Followed your recommendation of Stampede Pass this year and had a blast camping there. Hope to see you out on the trail.
I have an EcoFlow River Pro 2 - about 800w - and it has worked really well for 2-3 day trips. Its physical size is just about right, too for a Wrangler Unlimited.
Currently using the EBA3 to power my 12v fridge. Does the job for a night or 2. Topping off power via cigarette lighter charger and solar. Would like to upgrade so the EBA3 can be used to charge things for the family when they come out with me on trips. And maybe cook some rice in a rice cooker lol.
We don’t own one yet, but have been looking at the medium size to power a fridge in the future. We’ve been going the cooler route for the last two years and done with ice!
We don’t have a power station yet but have a propane powered generator. Would LOVE to switch to a capable solar generator instead. The Bluetti products look great. Been seeing them for years being used and it seems like everyone likes them.
I don't have a power station but I think the medium size would be ideal since I'll still be using a cooler and gas to cook with. Mainly would be charging batteries powering lights and such. Thank you guys for the great content. I really like the lx470 .
1000 watt like the AC 70 is ideal for most applications. I personally would like to use one for a bug zapper and run my fridge in the summer camping months, and heater in the winter months!
Medium would be best bang for the buck for me. The power goes out at our apartment not infrequently, so having it at home to run basics and a fan at night would be stellar as well!
Such a great video, great gear picks right before the holidays! We have a small 250 Wh power station but it just doesn’t do the job. Plenty of battery to recharge our lights, phones, and electronics but not enough to make the leap to a fridge or other creature comforts. Thanks for the comparison of common power bank sizes!
I bought a small Anker one two years ago for Black Friday. Tried to use it for a heated blanket and it only lasted an hour and a half. Since then I’ve just been dealing with the cold at night. I would use a bigger one for a heated blanket, fridge and phone charging.
One tip when it comes to a heated blanket and a power station -- the blankets that plug into DC power tend to draw a lot less power than the AC powered ones. Depending on which type you were using, that maybe part of the reason it didn't last so long.
I think about 1000 watt hours is ideal for my winter camping, It can comfortably run a diesel heater for a few days without risking it running out of juice, so I am nice and warm before starting a backcountry ski day. I would love a smaller 500-700 watt for summer camping to run a fridge. Thanks for putting on the give away!
We bought the Bluetti EB70S to run our Dometic fridge, it will handle a short weekend trip but our week long trips require some solar panels. We live in Louisiana but love going to Colorado & Utah, so bringing a good power station is a must. Y'all keep those video's coming 👍
Just moved to Colombia. And want to explore this beautiful land on wheels. A power station that would help me have power for 3-5 days would really be a valuable tool for me! If I get the giveaway I’ll have the budget for a fridge ! 😇
Have the EB3A now. The new BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 Portable Power Station | 2600W 2073.6Wh would be perfect. This due to can use for home backup and on camping/overlanding trips. Also love the Outlin expresso maker. May be getting one of these for Christmas. It looks simple and portable.
1000W is perfect for us but we can’t ship that big of lithium batteries here so there’s that lol. Grayl have recently became my favorite when traveling abroad. Adding the hest pillow on our list!
Great video, definitely going to have to get my wife a Selkbag! I currently have a smaller power station similar to the AC70, and it works great for weekend trips! Eventually would like to move up to something a little larger so I can stay out for about a week.
I have two 100w solar panels mounted on my canopy, and a 200 AH battery inside. With an inverter, I'm been able to supply my power needs so far. I suspect that something like the Bluetti would take the place of these. Since I don't use my rig that often, I've not made any movement on this idea though. Thanks for your review!
We travel with a large Bluetti for keeping our frig/freezer going and think the 70 would be a great addition to use when we are staying at Harvest Hosts so that CPAP could be used.
I don't have any sort of power supply. Just getting into the overlanding game so Id have to take an uneducated guess and say a medium one would probably suit my needs... Once I find out what those needs are.
Jumping straight into a medium sized one is a good idea IMO .... as you'll be able to 'grow' into it. Versus doing what we did and starting with a small one, only to realize we needed to upgrade to a bigger one after about a year.
I currently use the EcoFlow river pro, but been wanting to try Bluetti. Would be great to have both as I never have enough when camping. Thank you for the opportunity. My EcoFlow is 720 watt and I could use around another 2 or 3 kw power to last a while on a multi day camping trip.
I currently have a jackery 300wh battery and I definitely need a bigger power station, a 1000wh or 2000wh would be great for me if I was to upgrade, have a blessed day
Don't have a powerbank but I think a medium or large one would be plenty enough for me. Atleast 1000w or more think would be ideal for me. Thanks for the opportunity
I believe a 1000-watt power station would be ideal for my family of 3 for weekend camping. That way, we can run a coffee maker and a small heater for the tent for the wife and kid. And recharge portable camp lights & cellphones, and possibly a mini projector for those nintendo switch nights.
I use a VTOMAN 300. It's great for charging accessories during the day, but needs a little more capacity to run a diesel heater through the night, especially over a weekend trip. Turns out it does not have solar charging, so have to charge it back up with the truck during the day.
I don't own a portable power station yet. I've been researching over the past 4 months and Bluetti stands out from the rest. The AC200P seems like a great choice. Thank you for the opportunity and the great videos!
Yeah, there are SO MANY different brands / models / sizes / price points that researching gets overwhelming fast haha. The AC200P is a great powerstation. I think Bluetti has dropped the price on them quite a bit too now that they've released its successor (the Elite 200 V2)
Oh man, 1000 watt hour is perfect! I already have a bluetti 600w and find that it almost meets my needs. But now that I camp with EV, having a bigger bank that won't put a load on my car would be perfect, and I almost can make it with my 600 watt.
If you don't need the 30amp output on the AC200PL, you should check out the Elite 200 V2 that Bluetti just released. Pretty much the same capacity and output and almost half (!) the size. It's my new favorite powerstation.
Because of my Iceco fridge, at least 1000 is helpful, however the charger 1 addition (not purchased… yet) could potentially relieve some of that battery amount worry.
Think a 1000w or higher would be ideal for most everything that most of everyone would be using it for. Appreciate the opportunity to enter!! Goodluck everyone!!😊
Really like your channel . . . as I am just entering as a "Road-Tripper" in my 2006 Honda Element. Starting with a general plan of 2-nights sleeping in the Element... and a 3rd night in a motel. I am thinking that a mid-sized Bluetti would give me plenty of power to run a fan to keep the condensation in check, possibly run a small electric heater/fan, and charge my phone. Yeeessssssssssss ! . . . Please put me in the hat for winning that Bluetti AC70 Portable Powerstation ! 😃👍
We did the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route and our support vehicle had a medium size 70c. We used it everyday to charge our helmet communicators, InReach, GPS and phones!
What were ya riding? Was the IDBDR big ADV bike friendly? I'm considering doing it on my R1200GS ... but it's a chunky bike when things get anything close to technical. I completed the WABDR on it though so 🤷♂️
@@WheretoNextOverland I ride a BMW 310GS and the other guys were all on BMW F700 and an F800s. We passed a bunch of folks on the 1200GS.. lots of issues with the heads hitting stuff. The ride has an endless amount of tight, steep rocky switchbacks so a smaller bike might be better. A bike in the 400 range might be perfect, light enough to pick up when you go over.
I was going to put in a second battery but I bought a 300w solar station. I also bought a frig. I like it to run more than 10hrs. That was in my house, don't know how it will work on the trail.
I think the medium is the best of all worlds, powerful enough to take care of the big needs but not so big that you have to worry about space. If it were me, id pick the AC180!
I'd tend to agree! We've used the AC180 as our primary powerstation for the past few years. And unless I'm being an idiot and trying to oven bake a pizza at camp, it does everything we need 🤣
I own a Jackery 2000. It weighs 40 pounds so I don’t use it except for very long trips. I also have a Jackery 270 which is always in my vehicle. It will run my 12 volt cooler which I leave plugged in while driving.
Yeah, one thing people don't often talk about is the weight of those big powerstations. Carrying them around or getting them into / out of a vehicle can be a royal PITA
I am looking for one that fits under my Jeep seats, possibly linked together. Most of them shut down when it gets too warm in the bed of the truck in the summer. Good video, I blame the Wisemans for sucking me in
The AC180 is really the perfect size. Enough to power a fridge and your basic electronics for camp. Pair that up with the new Charger1, you've got the perfect setup.
Medium would be great. My current coffee maker has a pour through option so I would have a choice of electric or not. (We live in our MH fulltime but, I still tent camp) I can think of so many ways of using it for both.
I have the AC180 with a 200W solar panel attached to my clam shell tent. On a good sunny day I’d get 100W charging, doesn’t help much in the fall and winter. Looking foward to an inverter to charge it faster while driving. Be nice to win that AC70. Haha.
@ foresure, was looking at youtube videos on the charger 1. The price is pretty hefty though, but it does come with the wiring cables….and it doesn’t need large gauge wires unlike an inverter. Hmmm…..still debating, charger 1 or an inverter….lol. You guys should have done a giveaway on the charger 1 instead. Lol
Medium size (1000 watts)I don’t currently have one but planning on going on a long roadtrip across the US within the next few months and definitely need one 😅
I'd consider an AC180. That's what we've used for the past 2 years. Perfect combination of size / capability / price for a 1,000Wh powerstation. They're pretty cheap right now with the Black Friday sales Bluetti is running!
I have a power station. I would like one that has the 30 amp for the outlet as I was not able to plug my van in to my power station. I am still looking to see what would be the best for my use. I camp but I also go on weekend trips for work, dog show photo's. I do take a few dogs and sometimes need to run the AC for the dogs and a lot of places at the shows do not have power. Thanks for your review of the Blueetti.
The AC200PL that I showed in the video would probably be perfect for everything you need (30 amp plug and enough power to run an AC unit for a while for the doggos). I think the 'non' premium version (AC200L) is like 50% off right now. Might be worth considering ...
I sorta suspect the AC180 is gonna get CHEAP during Black Friday. I think it's $499 now, which is already incredible. I wonder if $399 is possible? That'd be a no-brainer if it does

We currently don't have a power station although I did build my own "home" Solar generator. Would love a medium sized for our camping needs.
I just a 2kwh station at this point, I love it. I would love to get a medium-sized station for more mobility.
Oh man, we've literally been using that OutIn espresso maker every day at home. I can't go back to drip coffee now lol
Have a small power bank that can power just my small fridge but would really love one of these medium sized power banks to use for weekend camping.
Hi! Don’t have one but for my outdoor needs i would use something like the AC50B for quick trips!
Wao the AC70 will add more camping ⛺️ days and would be a plus because my BiPAP machine. Good luck to everyone 😀
1000W is perfect for us but we can’t ship that big of lithium batteries here so there’s that lol. Grayl have recently became my favorite when traveling abroad. Adding the hest pillow on our list!
Oh man, I didn't even think about the shipping issues with those. GG Hawaii! 😂. The HEST pillows are legit!
Great video, definitely going to have to get my wife a Selkbag! I currently have a smaller power station similar to the AC70, and it works great for weekend trips! Eventually would like to move up to something a little larger so I can stay out for about a week.
Thanks! Hard to go wrong with a selk'bag for the wife. Pretty sure the selk'bag is by FAR Christine's favorite thing ever when it comes to camping.
Cheers!
I feel like I need a medium size power station! I have been looking at the AC180 for my first power station for a while! Thanks for the review guys! 😬
We travel with a large Bluetti for keeping our frig/freezer going and think the 70 would be a great addition to use when we are staying at Harvest Hosts so that CPAP could be used.
Ideally 100ah, 1000wh to power on all of the necessities. Fridge, diesel heater, etc... That would be amazing to have available!
The AC70 would meet my power needs nicely and I would be excited to try one out!
I currently use the EcoFlow river pro, but been wanting to try Bluetti. Would be great to have both as I never have enough when camping. Thank you for the opportunity. My EcoFlow is 720 watt and I could use around another 2 or 3 kw power to last a while on a multi day camping trip.
@SNTNLJK yeah, our first powerstation was 500wh and by day 3 things usually looked pretty dire haha
@ yeah I try to stretch it with solar, but on the East coast not so easy
I currently have a jackery 300wh battery and I definitely need a bigger power station, a 1000wh or 2000wh would be great for me if I was to upgrade, have a blessed day
Thank you. Cheers!
Don't have a powerbank but I think a medium or large one would be plenty enough for me. Atleast 1000w or more think would be ideal for me. Thanks for the opportunity
Cheers. Good luck!
I believe a 1000-watt power station would be ideal for my family of 3 for weekend camping. That way, we can run a coffee maker and a small heater for the tent for the wife and kid.
And recharge portable camp lights & cellphones, and possibly a mini projector for those nintendo switch nights.
Not gonna lie .... a Nintendo Switch hooked up yo a mini projector at camp sounds pretty Rad!
Most definitely is!
Unfortunately, we are limited to campsites that provide power😅 the goal is to be 100%
Independent.
Love your channel! I normally use a 1000W power station for all my camping and overlanding needs. I also have a smaller Bluetti 600W for solo camping.
Thanks! It's definitely nice to have a few different sizes of power station so you can adjust for trip specific needs.
Oh man, 1000 watt hour is perfect! I already have a bluetti 600w and find that it almost meets my needs. But now that I camp with EV, having a bigger bank that won't put a load on my car would be perfect, and I almost can make it with my 600 watt.
The AC70 seems like a good starting point for a beginner, but ill be saving for the AC200PL with a solar charger
If you don't need the 30amp output on the AC200PL, you should check out the Elite 200 V2 that Bluetti just released. Pretty much the same capacity and output and almost half (!) the size. It's my new favorite powerstation.
@WheretoNextOverland nice! Thanks
Because of my Iceco fridge, at least 1000 is helpful, however the charger 1 addition (not purchased… yet) could potentially relieve some of that battery amount worry.
Yeah, I'm REALLY looking forward to getting my hands on a Charger 1
Think a 1000w or higher would be ideal for most everything that most of everyone would be using it for.
Appreciate the opportunity to enter!! Goodluck everyone!!😊
Cheers! Good luck!
I had a Honda Element SC years ago. Loved that thing. SO MUCH SPACE considering the small foot-print. Best of luck on winning the powerstation!
I'd imagine a 300Wh power station would give you 18-24 hours of life with a (DC powered) fridge at camp
I do have to use the ac plug. 12v to it, it kicks off. I'll have to take it out on a trip to try it out.
I would like a 1500-2000w because i plan on getting a E-Bike next year and would need that for charging.
I believe I medium size power station would meet my needs!
I am looking for one that fits under my Jeep seats, possibly linked together. Most of them shut down when it gets too warm in the bed of the truck in the summer. Good video, I blame the Wisemans for sucking me in
I use an 1800W Anker SOLIX F1200 Portable Power Station PowerHouse 757. My kids usually drain it the first night 🙄
Kids .... the great power station equalizer! 😂
The AC180 is really the perfect size. Enough to power a fridge and your basic electronics for camp. Pair that up with the new Charger1, you've got the perfect setup.
No doubt! The Charger 1 looks pretty great. I'll be installing one in the next few months I suspect
@@WheretoNextOverland what is a charger one
Medium would be great. My current coffee maker has a pour through option so I would have a choice of electric or not. (We live in our MH fulltime but, I still tent camp) I can think of so many ways of using it for both.
I think a medium would work great for my needs.
I own a 200wh powerstation which has worked great but is a bit too small, been thinking of getting a +1000wh one to best suit my needs 😮
I have an ecoflow river 2. I use it for charging my devices. I don't have a fridge yet.
I have the AC180 with a 200W solar panel attached to my clam shell tent. On a good sunny day I’d get 100W charging, doesn’t help much in the fall and winter. Looking foward to an inverter to charge it faster while driving. Be nice to win that AC70. Haha.
Yeah, I hear ya. I'm excited to get my hands on the Charger 1. Charging at 500 watts while driving would be a MAJOR upgrade.
Lol
I have an EB3A. Nice, but small.
We currently have a knockoff 1000w but are wanting to upgrade to a 2000w sometime in the future.
I have a Jackery 500 right now and maybe looking at going bigger but the giveaway would be perfect for my wife rig!
I currently use a 1200 watt power station. I would love an additional power station.
They're pretty cheap right now with the Black Friday sales Bluetti is running!
i just purchased a used bluetti AC200Max because I want the 30amp plug to charge my trailer batteries if I needed to
Yeah, if we had a trailer or RV .... a powerstation with a 30amp would be a must
I have an AC180. It’s pretty cool.
1200w seems to be the sweet spot!
I have the Jackery 1000watts portable powerstation with 100watts solar.
I have a EcoFlow Delta 2. I want to upgrade to something in the 2k range for power.
Small or medium. I have a cheap off-brand medium size. It's ok. Too big sometimes. Too glitchy most of the time.
I'd say anywhere between 1000wh to 1500wh. Would be nice for at home power outages.
A power station about 1,000 watts would be wonderful for me to keep the fridge running.
I have an EcoFlow River 2 and River 2 Max. Both have been great but I want to purchase a Bluetti AC180 to round them out.
I sorta suspect the AC180 is gonna get CHEAP during Black Friday. I think it's $499 now, which is already incredible. I wonder if $399 is possible? That'd be a no-brainer if it does
