Why is it that when the Surfshark app is being used, I constantly get the error message saying "This site can’t be reached" or "Web page not available"? But as soon as I pause or disconnect the Surfshark VPN, the pages open and work perfectly fine? Why is surfshark preventing pages from loading in Google or Duck Duck Go search engines?
Hello. Is it possible to have VPN running on the router itself and use a different software VPN service (Cisco) on the laptop at the same time? Would that work?
thanks for this video. Quick question. I work remote at a US company that uses company laptop for connectivity. Can I buy one of the routers you mention here, connect it to the modem in Colombia, and therefore, send the signal to my work computer that I am essentially working from the US?
that's essentially the point of the VPN, I think just get the travel router from GL-inet. I have it and it's so easy to set up, it also works with tailscale. if you dont have public ip it's almost impoosbile to set up wireguard
Dedicated routers are a good option as well, my biggest worry with them is long-term support. Will that router be supported in the next 2,3,4,5 years? The benefit of flashed routers supported by community is long-term support and ability to troubleshoot issues easier
If I just need a router that handles the WireGuard for me. And I will only use this to wire connect to my desktop (my desktop too old not to support WireGuard apps) Is Mango are good enough for me? Will it be too slow?
The main issue with Fritzboxes we found is that they are quite difficult to configure so would only recommend them for advanced users but other than that they're great
Not really, it can be any VPN. A VPN router is just a normal router that also can have a VPN set-up on it. In other words - a router that supports a VPN.
No, there are many free VPN services, but can they be trusted? I believe ProtonVPN may be OK, they have free vpn servers in Netherlands (very fast), Us and Japan. Or if you just want to access your home network, you don’t need any VPN provider at all.
I have been having nothing but problems with SurfShark. Before doing anything online, I always go to Google and ask what my IP address is, to see if SurfShark is actually working, but sure enough, it's never hiding my IP address. I've tried every option that surfshark customer service has suggested such as; changing the default protocol, changing the location, turned off battery-saving mode, made sure I didn't have any anti-virus software running. I also don't have any other VPNs or firewalls so none of those could be causing the problems. But yet, Surfshark is NOT hiding my IP address or hiding my real location. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! 😡😡😡
A company I found I could not trust with my DATA, giving advice on secure routers? I am bombarded by spam, your system was to remove. My opinion, not trust worthy and will not answer direct questions. Like Incogni, How are you sending information to be removed, without it being compromised by those you send it to? How does a phone and email never used at all, get spammed and called 10 fold now after signing up? No its not from a data breach, as they where not used in that way or were a breach would have access or has to my knowledge.

Will GL-MT300N-V2 and it's 2.4 connection be good enough for remote work? It's a customer service job via company PC.
Please help D:
I don't recommend it. Max speed with OpenVPN is 11Mbs.
Ended up going with the GL-SFT1200 / Opal@@Kicajz7

Does a Vpn Router need to be associated with a specific vpn? I don't really understand the difference between a normal router and a vpn router

How can I configure my VPN dedicated IP on my VPN router?
