Hi! The only things the room comes with are the bed, desk, dresser, and closet. Here’s a list of things you will need as an incoming freshman: - Bedding (bring extra blankets the rooms are very cold) - Clothes - Towels - Shower caddy, shower shoes, and toiletries - School supplies - Hangers - Lots of students choose to bring extra storage (bins, drawers, etc.) to help maximize space in the smaller room - Many students also bring some decor to help personalize their space. This might include a rug, posters, pictures, etc. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Is there any link to connect to sophomore students for course information on how the classes will and about professors. My son will be the upcoming fresher for coming fall (August 2023). He is searching for a roommate. How about textbooks for classes they are taking? They buy them or can be borrowed from the library or online resources?
There is not a specific link but there are multiple Facebook groups for UF parents and families where there’s lots of information and people willing to answer any questions! It’s a great way for parents to stay updated! UF should send out informations on ways to find a roommate soon if not already. Last year they used a program called RoomSync to help incoming freshman meet potential roommates. Textbook use varies from course to course, but when registering for classes you should be able to see any additional course fees and the classes required materials. Hope this helps!
@@manuchitravankadari8216 You can ask other parents their children’s opinions on those pages, and there are other pages where your student can reach out to other students. Other than that, I would suggest contacting the university to see if they have any programs set up for that.

A 5x7 is the typical size to look for! They work with almost all dorm rooms at UF!
