- Le créateur français Claude Montana est né en 1949 à Paris. Après avoir passé quelque temps durant les années 60 à Londres, il retourne dans sa ville maternelle. De nouveau à Paris, il travaille jusqu'à ses 25 ans comme illustrateur, entre autres pour l’opéra de la capitale. Il commence chez le fabricant de cuire français MacDouglas et devient finalement le directeur artistique de la Maison. En 1979, le jeune homme de 30 ans fonds sa propre marque sous le nom Claude Montana.
