- Tekken has an insanely good soundtrack honestly and I have been absolutely sleeping on the experience. This all changed with Tekken 8 and honestly I have a lot of homework to do . Duomo Di Sirio is UNGODLY fun to listen to. I was hesitant at first but a few months after filming I absolutely adore this theme and loved the tekken 8 OST.

glad that tekken music is to your liking, there are some great themes in tekken OST thtough the years and 25 years is a lot of games and music, Moonlit wilderness is a recomendation, but if you decide to listen to more FG music tekken is a great place to see different styles, although tekken does have a vry specific type of OST as well in a way

Yeah, TEKKEN has a lot of bangers in their SOUNDTRACKS. I’ve played lots of 5 and 6, and always loved AZAZEL’S BOSS OST. (And the remaster of it in Tekken 8 just blew my mind!!)

Wow. Duomo di Sirio is not even my favorite tune from the T7 OST, but listening to you break it down and be excited by it gave me a newfound appreciation for it!
Same, this song is where I lost so many promo matches. I have a very bad relationship with it, but with a proper breakdown of it I don't find it to be the doom-spelling tune I imagined it to be.
Right?!? Same thing for me. I liked Duomo, but never had it set on my custom stage playlists. This video changed my views on it and I may add this to the Elegant Palace stage on Tekken 8.

YES! YESSSSSS! It was me! I requested this song! AND I'D DO IT AGAIN!
And I'm so glad I did. You highlighted exactly what I found so interesting about it : at the start, you can get overwhelmed by the music, and it feels all over the place... But after you listen to both parts a few times it grows on you, the many instruments overlapping start to form a coherent whole, and by the end you just end up listening to this piece at the gym to pump yourself up!
Because that's exactly what it's supposed to do. Put you in a trance. "Duomo di Sirio" is more the theme of a place rather than of a specific character. This is a cathedral dedicated to bettering one's skill through fighting, the HQ of a powerful order of exorcists, and so the corresponding song is made to put you into "the zone", so you can face your opponent at the best of your abilities, and reach the top.
To me Duomo di Sirio is the song that encompasses best what Tekken is as a game, and I'm so happy you liked it! Thank you for giving it a chance (despite a rough start)!
I really love claudio as a character. He feels like a mix of jojo and bleach characters 🤣

Fun fact this track was made by Go Shiina, a pretty prolific composer in Japan who's worked on OSTs for a lot of anime and other games. You'd probably recognize him from Code Vein soundtracks too, particularly my favorite one, "Towards the Eternal Glory."

Marco finally entering the realm of Tekken. Hope for more, Tekken's osts are incredible, although they're more versed into techno/electro which might not be the thing of this channel.
Also the fact that it's really made to be heard while playing the game (or reminisce about it), and might not be as interesting simply listening to it. Altough you seem to still really get into it :p
I would love for you to react to Infinite Azure from Tekken 7. Because it'd be something totally different for this channel!
ever since i found out you were italian, i always thought that if you were ever to cover tekken, i'd be really entertained for you to cover this theme and also Claudio the character outside of music but i figured it would be funny to get your italian take on tekken's depiction of an italian person haha, i mean yeah he's a fantasy exorcist and everything but this is truly a worlds collide moment for me. i'm glad you ended up liking it. i had the same reaction as you where at first, i honestly wasnt fucking with it. but just listening to all of it in its entirety especially with context got it growing on me until i admitted to myself it slapped

This really feels like God Eater OST.
First thing I thought of when I heard this.
From go shiina, same composer for god eater
I might be reaching but sometimes Go Shiina seems to be refrencing God eater in some of his works.
Parts of this track and the vocals from GE' 'No way back' have the same exact melody.
Just compare the 'How can I break the fall' vocal part from GE's track to 00:56 in this video, its to the point you can sing part of it.
I remember hearing a sneaked in melody from GE in one of his Ace combat osts too

@@razcipherff7272I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this with Go Shiina. I've come to the point now that whenever I hear that particular "Leitmotif" in any BNE/Anime works with him composing parts of it especially I just put it as him putting his signature touch on it y'know?
Like a cherry on top or something...enough glazing, Shiina is just talented nuff said.
Hey Marco! If you liked this particular piece (Duomo di Sirio) you'd love the Soulcalibur stuff, another fighting game set in a more fantasy medieval setting developed by the same studio. This track is just dripping with their sound team's influence. I particularly recommend the first game's soundtrack (SoulEdge), of which "Dragon's Call" is my favorite track! Do listen to the arrange version though, as the arcade stuff is made with rather primitive tracker samples due to memory limitations at the time.

Yes! Tekken has some of my favorite game music of all time. Heat Haze Shadow, Moonsiders, Karma, Aloneness/Solitude….More Tekken music, please.

For other fighting game stuff, would be cool to see some under night stuff (night walker in particular) or melty blood actress again current code's ost in general

Yeah starting from Tekken 7, the first round song will play until any player is a single round from winning which is when round 2/CLIMAX version of the song will play.
Tekken is goated. I think you'll like Moonlit Wilderness (both versions), Mystic Force, Arisa, Kakuri-yo Kagura, Ground Zero Funk, Volcanic Bomb, Metallic Experience, and Devil Kazumi.
1:55 *ekhem* Mick Gordon started from fighting game music, listen to song like "i'm back(to rise)" and you'll see
these tracks (sometimes) actually have proper endings instead of simply looping back to the beginning. You wouldn’t need to do a whole video or whatever, but check that out sometime if you can, it’s great to hear a track as dynamic as this come to a complete resolution
Being developed by Bandai Namco, they have a pool of talented composers such as AJURIKA, Taku Inoue,and mifumei to create music for Tekken. I'd say Tekken games are those kinds of games where you can't go wrong with the music.

Fellow Italian Canadian here! I use Tekken music to workout, it's probably the one videogame soundtrack that embodies the atmosphere of a gym and also a fighting game.

Also be sure to listen to Ground Zero Funk from tekken 5 that comes with stage that takes after its track name: for a good chance it's family shrines of the main characters that got blown up due to their conflict, desecrated in short

I'd love for you to cover the classic era of Tekken: Tekkens 1 through 5. 3, 4, Tag Tournament, and 5 have some of the best music in any game. T6 and Tag 2 have some classics as well.

Tekken does love its pump up tracks for battle themes with a heavy electronica influence, but damn does it love its meme or shitpost tracks too in their OSTs.

Always, ALWAYS bet on Tekken music to deliver. The composers and producers that work on the games definitely understand the assignment and deliver tons of EDM, Psytrance, and DnB music… but they’re all insanely versatile and know music on a crazy level.
Our favorite here Keiichi Okabe (NieR) has worked alongside SanoDG (Nobuyoshi Sano of Drakengard, Ridge Racer) Go Shiina (Ace Combat, Arknights) and AJURIKA (Akitaka Tohyama of Katamari Damacy, Ridge Racer) along with others to make the large majority of the Tekken Franchise’s soundtracks since Tekken 3 in the 90s. It’s actually pretty awesome how often they work together, and how the projects push them all over the map into different genres.
I believe this is one of Go Shiina’s tracks. It’s not my favorite, but you can tell it’s the product of someone experimenting who has a wealth of knowledge in various types of music composition.

Oh yeah TEKKEN appreciation is always welcomed, I've always believed that from all fighting games TEKKEN is the one with most creativity and high powered in their songs, we can go from heat haze shadow, to yodeling then moonlit wilderness and devil kazumi, for sure there are a lot of hidden gems we can find in the whole series (my personal favorite is hall of fate from T5)

I know I'm biased, but fighting games produce 90% of my fave video game ost's. Would recommend early arcade KOF games and Blazblue as some of the best. You've also figured out how hard tekken goes as well 😁
Marco, you fool! Tekken is one of the few fighting games you play when you want your soundtrack/album to come with a videogame. It’s all so great, please listen to and cover more! The music is so good that they even did a “Release Day Mix” recently for Tekken 8 on the official Bandai Namco YT channel to celebrate the game’s 8th mainline installment for those who are fans of the game’s many bangers (which is pretty much unanimously everyone). 😮💨🎶🔥
Edit: I failed to mention the mix I talked about doesn’t fully cover nor play all songs (as it’s only a small showcase) and that every stage theme has a “1st” and final round “2nd” segment that’s an amped up version of the original.
I know you like very fun orchestral pieces, so one track I’d recommend is the music for the Colosseum stage called *“Colosseum of Fate.”* I may be wrong, but I think it’s very likely the composer may be the same guy who did *Duomo Di Sirio.*
Another thing…it took me THIS LONG to realize you already did an entire stream covering Tekken 8’s music. Boy, do I feel dumb. 🤦♂️😂

You can also check SoulCalibur OST. Many Tekken tracks are amazing and many from other fighting games as well 😉 I you start this kind of game music, you may be surprised (in a good way !)

Actually, fighting games have a crapton of amazing music, the Killer Instinct(the new one) soundtrack especially is pure magick. Street Fighter 5 has amazing renditions of all-time classic themes and introduces some new bangers (Rashid's theme).

You definitely should listen to TEKKEN 5 + DARK RESURRECTION OSTs, they both are the best in the series

This is probably one of the few unique soundtracks in vanilla T7. Most of them are dubsteps, so you're not exactly wrong when you say T7 is gonna be mid, it's just that you said it at the wrong track 😂

Personally am not a fan of Duomo Di Sirio. Not trying to be a hater, but this is one of the last songs I'd recommend to get someone into Tekken music. Way too high-strung and blaringly heroic sounding to me. The best Tekken music feels like it's distinct to the mood of 'Tekken'(badass, stylish, edgy martial arts combat). I feel like the heavy use of choir, string and brass completely separate this one from the series' through-line identity. Ultimately we need things like this for variety's sake, but again, not a great example of what Tekken offers musically imo.
