When it comes to apex, it's Rojas version of savauge elixir, a green version without the licorice. Lataffa asad smells similar to elixir but a bit different. Vertex smells like a green version of asad. I own bolth clones and bolth originals and their different enough that it's not redundant to own bolth the clone and original. In fact just like asad is a bit more versatile then elixir the same is true of vertex, I've found it's versatile enough I can wear it on days where apex might be a little too much EDIT: I was incorrect apex is not Rojas take on elixir, but honestly to me they do smell kind of similar, just apex without the licorice and more green. But vertex does also smell like a green version of asad
@petermolina1317 I like them bolth equally. Apex is higher quality and lasts longer but vertex is a bit brighter and I can pull it off easier in warmer weather so to me they bolth have their place. In terms of versatility though yes vertex is more versatile where apex is more of a situational wear
Fo for Aventus as a must have for week ends and special places. And have explorer for everyday. That way you will have the Aventus for longer and have the explorer at the same time. Have them both. And after that get Silver mountain water EDP After that Buy Neroli Portofino edp or Neroli Portofino Aqua edp for super hot summer days. If you have all of those you are set .

My top Aventus clone is by ALT Fragrance - Executive 26 at around 40 bucks. I get consistent compliments about it and asked what it is and they can’t believe it’s a clone.

I feel Mont Blanc should have stayed with the Creed Inspiration. Making Explorer Blue be Eau Fraiche - an inspiration of Aventus Cologne and have Platinum be Aventus Absolu.
They had such an opportunity to nail this fragrance too. They could have added a sour twist to Sedley and the realistic orange like Afternoon Swim. Seems like Perseus is a fail.
I love how most of the colognes were "designer" but you didn't correct her when she said that Dior was the first one haha, same with me and my gf - she's just right
Rasasi La Yuqawam Homme is kind of in that style. Closer to TF Tuscan Leather, but definitely similar. Very high quality for a clone, one of those where you can reasonably argue that it's better than the original. But Rasasi likes to ask big for a clone brand, so expect about 50% saving at best. Montale's Aoud Leather is also in the same ballpark and much cheaper, but I just don't like that one personally. Not just as an alternative, but as a scent in general.

you are taling about "something sugary". Clones often have something sugery about them imo, it's like a chemical they add to obtain a sweetness that is naturally present in the og

I bought mont blanc explorer 200ml for $60. Double the volume of Aventus and less that quarter the price plus equal performance.
