Nice hat broski. That wool knit grey one back in the day was one I'm always on the look out for. Not very common style.
I'm glad you touched on performance right at the end. That was a question I had throughout the video. It's one thing to dup the scent but do they have better or worse performance. If it's better, then it's a no-brainer. If not, then you have a decision to make if your wallet allows.

How about Celestial Emir by Paris Corner for Ganymede? Haven't got my nose on Brilliant Silver but I know Celestial Emir is really close. Another great video from the dynamic duo!
I think he’s covered Emir Celestial in the past, that’s one of the older Ganymede clones, he had said that Lattafa’s Masa was ultimately closer and better than Emir Celestial.

Imo. the best Layton clone is The Woods Collection Dusk . The opening is much more pleasant without that Vicks Vapor Rub smell .
Now that you mention Vicks smell, used Detour Noir today for church and while it indeed smells a little bit to menthol in the opening, it goes away like 20mins later. The rest of the wearing is very very pleasant.

@@hillardschlachman6610 No idea why, it isn't even that prominent. Another thing is I wasn't very convinced at the start with it but after around 4 months I don't know what happened but it got way better, probably the so called maceration.

jesus christ i'm so glad that i watched this video. i just got flavias the lion heart and its magnificent!!! did not have anything like this in my collection. this is amazing! i was not expecting such a fabulous mix of scents. thank you for showing it! cant really find any other reviews on that one and its a baller. definitely a date night scent
Ash recommends so many clones, we need videos like this to see which ones may be the best of the best and to get a woman's perspective. Also, it's always great to see Chelsea here. She and Ash have great chemistry together.

When it comes to angel share, dua angelic elixir is the best
Dumont Celario Epic is phenominal. IT LASTS FOREVER. I still smell it on clothes like a week later when I pull them out of the hamper to wash them. Amazing for the price.
I feel Fragrance World Posh Sirius is closer to Sedley then Maahir Legacy and is about 90 % close , with a little more mint dominant , and a bit more Lavender .

I HATE Ganymede I tried to wear it soo many times and I just can't with that sharp metallic note so definitely not a blind buy. With that being said I can definitely understand why this is highly praised because it is a well crafted scent and I can see people enjoying this more than me. I found Essential Parfums Bois Imperial ( also perfumed by Quentin Bisch) to be a better alternative as it's more wearable imo

I haven't smelled either Irish Leather or Rasasi's Deep Blue, but I own and love Rasasi's La Yuqawam Ambergris Showers, which is also said to be an Irish Leather clone. Has anyone had a chance to compare these three?

Imo. Posh Sirius is a closer clone .
@@hillardschlachman6610 I disagree, I also have Posh Sirius. The mint is much more prominent and imo can come off a little “latex paint” smelling. Maahir also performs better for me.

I have a newbie question... Why is the opening so important? Isn't the most important part the dry down? The only one smelling the opening is whoever is applying it and 9 times out of 10 no one will smell the opening right? So as long as the dry down is very close thats all that matters right?
Liking the drydown is super important yeah but the opening also.
If you don't like the opening of a fragrance, how are you going to feel about spraying it on several times a week, even if you love the drydown?
If the opening is chemical ish or harsh, would you want to spray it on and go hop in the car with friends? Would you feel the same way if the the fragrance had an amazing opening?
Doesn't always matter; sometimes it does.
Both the opening and the dry down are important. The opening is between the first 10-30 minutes. Usually, if you are applying a fragrance right before you go out, it can be noticed by most. The opening has a lot of the lighter, shorter term notes present, so it smells slightly different to the dry down, when the base notes are whats left. If you are the type of person who keeps a cologne in the car or sprays something on right before going out, you will smell the opening more.

Can't tell you about this clone specifically, but to my nose, Bitter Peach for sure leans feminine. To be, it doesn't even remind me of peach. It's unique though.

Man, those clone bottles are just ridiculous bottle after ridiculous bottle. Most of them look like they escaped from Aladdin, or were designed by a 10 year old, and in general are gigantic in size.
Have you encounter when a clone first comes out, it's spot on like they use the same quality ingredients as the og. Than when they get all the hype so people would buy it, it dosen't seem to be as high quality on their next batch. Just wondering if that occurs.

North Stag II is not the best Layton clone... Orientica Royal Bleu is almost spot on in terms of the smell, quality is the same as the OG and performance is better than Layon... Get your nose on it if you can! It is a bit on the pricey side as far as clones go, but well worth it!

Are you forgetting The Woods Collection - Dusk . In the $50 range , and 90 % plus close and does not have that awful Layton opening of Vicks Vapor Rub smell .
