Jock Blyth is the most underrated guitarist of all times. Her should be mentioned in the same sentence as Johnny Ramore.
A monkey could play that shit... And nobody has Johnny Ramones name on their tongue when the subject of great guitarists is being discussed...
🤣
her???? pre woke I'm afraid
Yes it's Hanley not Leeds. Recorded by the Cargo Studios Mobile for Mike Stone's Clay records. I directed it so i should know
Was wondering , coz did both Leeds and Hanley .
Was on the Jettisoundz 'Hardcore' VHS - JE153
I knew this was Victoria Hall soon as I saw it. Saw Discharge there enough times and there's nowhere like it...
Is that Hanley by Stoke on Trent?
@@davidcochrane1993 they supported Discharge at this gig.
今見てもこんなカッコいいバンドおらんで!ルックスも音も声も全てカッコいい!
Nowadays there'd be an isle of bouncers between stage + audience; CRAP ! There'd be a bunch of bimbos at the front who'd object to all the pogo/slam/dive antics, and would spend an hour getting all done up like Lady Gaga before the show ! BETTER IN THE ANARCHIC 80'S !
Raw, pure, energetic!!! That's how punk should be!
Punk from the UK has changed my life. F***ing great. Greetings from Kraut-Land.
Deutschland u fucker
UK punk best in the world fact 👌
When you could get on stage with out getting tackled good times
Only dickheads invade the stage . Knock monitors over, fuck pedals up , break leads .... fuck that shit . You wanna be up on stage, form a band and do it yourself .
@@jimmytgoose476 Amen to that!
don't talk to me about Northern Soul and Mod suits.....this is music like it should be punk forever
An authentic group savage. I know them from the three OI compilations. Eighties. With Partisans, Vice Squad, Blitz... I saw them at Belgrade in 1998 for the first time live.
We did everything wrong in the pub "New, New World Order" ... Collin and his comrades were absolutely sincere and authentic. Huge ..
Despite the charts started to turn safe in 1983 Punk was alive and well that year.
Y antes, sobre el 80/81, hablo de España.
Un saludo:
haha is was 24 and fkin loving it turned 60 this year but still love punk
Love it. Little bit like Motorhead on speed. I managed to see them at the 100 club a few years ago.
Motörhead was on speed , I LOVE GBH but this is just Budget Motörhead

I would have been 7 or 8 years old when this was filmed. I wish I was there!! Punk gigs in the early '90's were awesome fun for me! Theres nothing like this now a days...
Sadly not

PUNKS NOT DEAD... my brother....
What a track! The first GBH 12" takes some beating but the early singles(and their b-sides!)were just pure hardcore punk power.
1980's There is No Such Things like Handphones, Facebook & Social Media. Only Film Cameras,Big Bulky Camcorders & Cassette/Record Players..
This gig was in Stoke not Leeds they were supporting Discharge.
I Witnessed the spectacle of GBH in 1984 I was 14. Was at a beautiful shitty club in San Diego called Adams Ave. Basically my first show with Battalion of Saints and other local bands. A life changer for sure. Scared the shit out of me and also felt like a warm blanket of soothing comfort surrounding me. Now I'm an organic vegetable and fruit farmer in the Southern Willamette Valley near Eugene Oregon. The last show I witnessed was the fuck'in Melvins At the WOW hall in Eugene in the fall of 2019. Punks Not Dead! Hit me up if you relate.

Punk is fucking dead....I was 1st Generation...there's no more real punk
Been dead for decades .
Awesome!!!
As fan of Minor Threat, Early Misfits, Cocksparrer, Bad Brains, take the comment with a grain of salt: I don't know how the drummer of GBH can be satisfied playing THE EXACT SAME BEAT on every song. Learn the craft, buy and maintain the equipment, tour all over the world, play the same damn beat at the same tempo over and over and over and over. If you think I'm dissing your favorite band, I don't care. I like GBH, just always wondered that.
Saw them live back in the 90’s at a decent sized club. This was the only band I ever put my fingers in my ears for. Great but SO SO loud. Just brutally loudly
they were Motorhead fans to a degree, or to a decibel
...and a FIST FULLL of Amphetamines...
Slayer
i can't compass the thought of much ,But this is whoowa
(0:31) Hey, it's Quasimodo on the drums...
Jesus. Never heard of them! They sound like Metallica. A punk speed metal, early 80's?!
Never heard of GBH? Don’t get out much?
James Hetfield used to wear their t-shirt in mid 80s
This is pure hardcore. No metal whatsoever. You missed a lot. They sound absolutely nothing like Metallica. G.B.H. had aggression, speed and attitude and never aimed at charts or gave a shit how much albums they sold.
@@Annihilation_0f_The_Wicked9066 THIS IS HARDCORE PUNK YOUR WRIGHT THEY WEREN'T IN IT FOR THE MONEY THEY STOOD BY WHAT THEY SANG A REAL GENUINE BUNCH OF GUYS THEIR'S NOT TO MANY BANDS YOU CAN SAY THAT ABOUT
@@iandarragh6437 That's exactly what i said dumbass. Where did i say the opposite? Reading comprehension is not your strong trait it seems. I also said that they have nothing in common in Metallica.
know I'm a fan of South Park
