Contempt for everyone who is not within the elite and hatred of America - taught at the elite universities. Absolutely spot on. Regretfully, I am a recipient of their sheepskins. Thankfully, I escaped and deprogrammed myself, mainly by associating with the subjects of this disdain who were brighter, more productive, and better people than most people whom I encountered at the universities. Our friends are in the heartland, in most of Upstate NY, and what remains of normal America. Thank you Batya for letting everyone know!

If conservatives values are supporting someone with no morales or values like Trump then there is a bigger problem in the US then I already know about. Again Biden has always supported Israel 100%. Because of the way news about Gaza is distributed here Biden more or less had to address the false figures coming out of Gaza, in the end he will stand with Israel.
David Harris is uncomfortable with the idea of being frum instead of trying to counter anti-Semitism with apologetics. Batya nails it.

Batya Ungar-Sargon used to be a regular on Raising. Briahna Joy Gray has become very acerbic on the issue of Israel and Palestine. Has Batya not been on since Oct 7th because of her stance? She also has not been on Breaking Points with Krystal Ball and Sagar, coincidence? Will that limit her ability to promote her new book, "Second Class?"
I’ve totally noticed. It’s a shame. It’s ironic bc Katie Halper went on a media campaign lambasting “The Rising” for firing her for “speaking out against Israel.” Which obviously isnt true bc look at Crystal & Bri. But Batya has too much integrity to do the same thing in the opposite. Good for her! 🇮🇱

20:15 "There's been a complete realignment." Or, a course correction. Remember, the Republican Party (mostly Northerners) was formed in 1860 as the anti-slavery party. They were responsible for passing the 13th Amendment, abolishing slavery and the 15th Amendment, giving black men the right to vote. On the other hand, the Democratic Party (mostly Southerners) were responsible for the KKK.
Always thought Batya was brilliant and interesting, but now I see she is obviously wise. Always look forward to hear her insights.

Read select chapters in Karen Armstrong's book A History of God to see how, while tolerant, the Jewish experience in the Dutch Republic included a heavy undercurrent of anxiety.
My best friend lives there now for three decades or more, not Jewish, and sees the Dutch even now as claiming (independent of religious issues) to be tolerant, but not really so open minded and limber as they imagine themselves.
@@talmoskowitz5221 so I m talking on the situation in the 17th century. Renee Descartes, Baruch de Spinoza, Dirck Coornhert ea were able to publish their work in the Dutch Republic. Willem van Oranje was connected with Jewish inelligentia. This situation of tolerance was incompatible with whole Europe.

I love this little Palestinian girl, Sham, though. She reminds me of my sister, after our father died. I've been commenting that I think she needs to be saved. She's more like you, than them. She says her mother is out of the country, but I'm not sure of the situation. I know this sounds crazy, but you could do this, for Sham, through your Palestinian friends. In the peace talks, can they get it agreed upon that they are offering Sham a part in a re-make of "Family Affair", as Buffy? She would be So Great in that part, and it would keep her self-confidence going. You can tell she's bright, and really special. She's in the UA-cam shorts. She needs help, and she could get this help through her role as Buffy ( whose parents are dead, and she's living with Sissy, Jody, & Uncle Bill). Your Palestinian friends can help you save this one, and she'll help save other Palestinian women from what I see as the slavery of women.
@georgesand6958: The democrats are the party of the educated elites and the richest people in the country. 19/20 of the most wealthy counties in the U.S voted for the democrat in the last 2 presidential elections. The Republicans are increasingly becoming the party of the white working class, rural americans, and middle-class small business owners.
As a mexican all I have to say is this. I back up the arabs. They have given my culture their music and food in the deep roots of spain, and they get their influences from India. To defend arabs is to defend mexican culture.

Batya’s criticism of Jonathan Glazier’s speech at the Oscars was disingenuous. Mr. Glazier’s quote was that he “refuted his Jewishness being hijacked by others to commit atrocities.” It was not that he simply “refuted his Jewishness”. By omitting a few words of his quote..the meaning is completely changed.

You use the term truth very loosely. The only plight is the plight of being unable to choose peace because of a religion which claims Jews will never return to Israel and being unable to put the safety of their own children first.
