Benidorm is located on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Famous for it's beaches, bars, restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, hotels, sightseeing, party atmosphere, excursions, tours and sun. It is not only one of the top holiday destinations in Spain but one of the best tourist hotspots in the whole of Europe. British and Irish tourists love to travel to Benidorm, being one of the best resorts for a package holiday, but it is also well loved by many European travellers, and of course the Spanish themselves. It is an all year round holiday resort, the good weather means there is something to offer visitors of all nationalities and ages, and you will always find things to do and places to go. Well you can hardly see the beach for the all the people i do like the beach but i most probably stay neer the hotel pool .and just go for a walk at night when cooler and quite love benidorm and love the weather keep safe and keep smiling

Hi Lucy great video. I've just got back from Majorca, where pretty similar heat but sun beds for 2 with shade were 22 euros, oh plus a mattress.. Bargain lol. That being said, was a brilliant holiday. After watching your videos I would love to try Benidorm, the old town. x

It’s same crack every year, I done 6 years in Murcia every summer 42/43 nout new then in winter you have snow up in bullas , I am in Thailand now and it don’t go below 28 all year with 80 plus humidity Spain is light work once you go tropical climate

I was in Bennydumb in 2011, first week of Sept, at Rio Park. It was still 26 degrees at midnight and bed was so uncomfortable it was literally preferable to trying sleeping on a 5 euro blow up air bed.

Afternoon Lucy another good video I'd say yes 6 euro a day is expensive as if you go every day for a two weeks holiday it's an extra £84 am sure if they charged 3 euro a day would get more people on beach x😂

When I used to go to Benidorm, I used to always drink water bottled I may add and Arthur my then partner used to tell me to wear a cap and use sunscreen as well. Hope you don't fry tonight Lucy xx

We found the beds and umbrellas are cheap by the day but if you love the beach and your there two weeks then it's quite expensive in my opinion , we spent our time round our the pool in our hotel 😢😢

Looks great. I’ll be there next week. 6 euro for chairs is very reasonable. It’s $20 - $30 USD in Florida and one would need to tip as well.

You’d certainly never tip for a sunbed in Spain and never in bars either, even in restaurants the most people will generally tip is a few euros rounding up of the bill (€47 might be rounded to 50) no one would expect 15/20%

I came back on Tuesday it was almost as hot Freind got sun stroke at 6pm Monday Was at waterpark on Friday
Sunbeds are €2.50 each and an umbrella is €2.50 in Cyprus it’s been the same price for the last 10 years

Don't forget your big floppy hats and lots of water both will definitely save you watch the beer it will slowly dehydrate you good advice from lucy at the end (take notice) yes i know you are on holiday(same as me) but keep your guards sort of up not fully down also if you are planning on going to the market go early not as many people knocking about you won't get jostled around and it will be cool....ish 🤝🍻👍❤🇪🇦❤

Sorry, thought the beach beds were administered under license by the local authorities, therefore ultimately for the benefit of the local community.
€6 is very good value as the ticket is transferable to any bedded area on all the beaches of Benidorm. We have just returned from a resort in Costa Dorada…no transferable tickets to other beaches….the cheapest bed..away from the main beaches was €12 rising to €20 per bed on the main beaches. Two beds, under a cabana with a “free” bottle of Cava a snip at just €66 a day. Be careful what you wish for…less beds will either mean less council revenue or increased prices….Just a thought! Looking forward to our beach bed visit to Big B. in September!!
The beds are a private company. Still good value when you compare to those prices though 👍

Well I wouldn't say it was packed, I remember when you literally struggled to get to the sea it was that busy, also all the beds were taken.
Yes the middle section of the beach was quiet... it will fill up in August
Hi Lucy we just love your videos, we're coming over in October but have just found out that due to an illness won't be able to drink alcohol, do most of the bars sell non alcohol wines and beers, thanks.
Most bars on the strip have at least 1 non alcoholic beer. Beachfronts and old town have more choice. Guinness bar have 00 Guinness. Not so sure about wine though but you can get some nice non alcoholic cocktails around 👍

Love your vids but yes the sun beds over priced should be 3 euros as the beds seem dirty and never seen them washed at all but something must be done with this over priced beds etc but still love beni been going for years ie old town keep up the good work you do as your vids are the best plus the chatty guys too xx
Yes that sounds right 3 euros for each bed and parasol, would pay that every day no problem x
Coming end of august. I absolutely adore the heat so hoping will be lovely and hot. Is there lots of hiking nearby? How are the cocktail men and potato men even allowed on the beach?
Sierra Gelada national park is fab for hiking, up where the cross is. You can do a 4 hour hike accross the mountains from Benidorm to neighbouring town Albir 👍😁
Just saw cocktail guy on beach he got stopped 3 times by the police last time we were there but he’s still there x
Was there at the end of May and the weather was just perfect at 27/28 degrees be back same time next year if not before it 😢😢😢

A few scraps on the strip but nothing more than a normal weekend to be honest. Majority of fans behaved great. It went much better than most of us anticipated 👍
Hi Lucy, this is undoubtedly the wrong place for this comment so I apologise in advance to you. There's been lots of coverage in the UK lately regarding Anti-Tourist protests by Spanish locals directed at holiday makers in places such as Tenerife, Malaga, Barcelona and earlier to today in Majorca. I can see both sides of the debate but I wondered what your thoughts would be and how you feel about it all, Thanks Lucy, sorry again - see you in October xx

I understand the initial movement with the protests aimed at the local councils and governments to give more support in high tourism areas with regards to infrastructure and to regulate tourist accomodation better. Now I feel there are a lot just jumping on the bandwagon and they need to be very careful what they wish for.

Depends on the time of year. Hotels are 80% full at the moment so not everywhere will have rooms available. You may have to try round a fre places but I'm sure you'd get somewhere eventually

I was only in Benidorm once, many years ago with my parents when I was 17. I was violently sick* after too much Bacardí - Afterwards I couldn't stand its smell without gagging for about 10 yrs. I'm ok with it now - hic.👍
*We had a copy of The Exorcist with us on my bedside table - I was sick all over it. Imagine half the pages discoloured brown and green. The local Library was not pleased!

It IS a true story, except for the location - I WAS in Benidorm for a week in Dec 1973, but in July 1974 we went to a different resort; we flew to Girona airport, so the Exorcist scene took place in Lloret I think. I was about to join the Merchant Navy as a Cadet - I went on a boat trip

What is so annoying is the private company's with the blue umbrellas 🌂 they take up most or all the beaches not leaving room for families am sure the Spanish are so fed up .......
Yes there are a lot of complaints asking for there to be less paid beds and more free space 👍
You should remember a lot of tourists fly in you cant expect them to buy or carry sunbeds and paraguayas can you, they provide a service and work hard.....you try sitting in the sun all day eithout them😊😊
@albbu8 a lot of the shops on the sell them, for what you'll pay for 3 days on the rented ones you could buy a set of 2 with a brolly and use them for the whole week/fortnight.
Hi Lucy you are right but the Spanish always protect their own .
Go north or south Valencia or villajoyosa and there's about 17Km of beach.
These concessions are bought from the town hall same as choringos .
They don't own the beach pitch up between the lines... For a laugh.
At least it's not like Italy full of beaches owned by the hotels😠

Well expensive, other parts of of Spain are 14 euros for 2 beds 1 parasol plus beds have mattresses on!!
some parts are also 60€ for 2 beds and a brolley for the day. Yes 60€ 😲

The sea of empty loungers is a massive waste of beach space, it's what keeps me away from those areas.
