My brother just got into a break down with his bmw 528i 2008 the gas pump fail to start and the car got stuck blocking a neighborhood driveway, that was a big mess for us due to the gear shift does release the drive gear.. so no one will b available to help us out nor we can afford the vehicle to b tow..
we just see your video and everything goes in the same way and we move the vehicle out of the drive way. We can even believe it, so thousand thanks you that we can get access to people like u on UA-cam...

I have a 2014 535i with X Drive. If the engine cannot be started, how do I get the transmission out of Park in order to move the car?
there is either a lock under te cup holder or a screw under the car connected to the tranny you screw in
My e60 starts but won't shift out of park Getting shift solenoid e fault
2011- 323i. The transmission stopped working. I pulled up at a traffic light and when the light changed I tried to accelerate and the car would not move. Just before this happened I heard a pop and thought a tire had burst. The car will not go forward or reverse. Had to get the car towed. No warning lights or engine codes and the car was running fine up to the stop light. Any ideas of what the problem could be ?
We tried a lot of things and then realized the shifter was left in the M/S position when we parked. All it needed was a rap to the right and the parking light stopped blinking and we were able to shift and drive as normal. Phew!

Hi Nathan, I have a bmw x5 e70, my car had a sudden engine shut off at a complete stop in traffic light, and on board screen showed transmission malfunction, the gear shifted to P and the car crank when trying to start . so i pluged in OBD reader, it has code A0B1 CAS input selector level position implausible, 507B 507D Parking gear sensor implausible and parking gear incorrectly disengaged. i paid attention to the transmission oil temperature, it was at 82 C when this problem occur. what may be the problem based on this discription ? help please

Nathan, on a 01 e46, how would you troubleshoot the ABS module? I have the DSC light on the dash, amber brake light and amber ABS lights on at all times. Thanks.
The Yellow Drone TV... I had this same issue on my E39 and E46 and it was the brake pedal sensor behind the brake pedal. Pain in the butt to take off but it only cost me $150 part and labor included.
I also highly recommend www.modulemaster.com. This was my first attempt when I had all of those warning lights on as you are having. They returned it saying that there was nothing wrong with it so then I had a local shop diagnose and repair it like I mentioned on the previous thread. Good luck.

Hi Nathan just want to ask something I do have a e46 325xi issue is when i put to drive and reverse theres a noise like clunking sound so loud in your experience with e46 could it be a loose gear selector (nut) near the transmission below (gear selector?) that makes the sound or its the bushing at the back? thank you very much. I have a p0172/p0175,p0102 that i assume a vacuum leak related code but i also have a gear with exclamation mark in my dash could that relate in my fault codes?
Thats Why I Prefer Manual Transmission .
My car did the transmission malfunction as I did this and now it’s flickering the neutral sign just like yours and doesn’t go back in to park

You said you coded it? Can I do that with BimmerCode? Can the shifter being stuck cause a no crank no start issue?
Hey Nathan, I just had to replace the heater inlet pipe (the one under the manifold) on my 2000 323CI. The install went pretty smoothly all things considered. However, in the process I broke the pipe between the valve cover and the CCV. Whatever, no big deal, I deleted the CCV, plugged the dipstick, sealed the 2 ports on the underside of the equalizer pipe, installed a hose from the valve cover to the open port on the rear of the intake manifold. I know this isn't the best way to set it up but its the way I could do it for now. So my question is this: What is the best way to delete the CCV permanently without risking damage to the seals and gaskets inside the engine? I already bought the catch can and I know you mentioned venting the dipstick with a breather. I haven't seen you do it yet so I'm not sure how I should execute it.

I have a 2009 X5 that wont go into gear. Reverse and neutral work but not drive. Also when I push it forward while in neutral there's a gear like noise like not properly ingadged. What do you think it is? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hi please can you help me to diagnose problem with my bmw.
I bought last year a bmw 520i e39 170hp 2003 year
I found out that my bmw is lose oil mostly during driving. I had change oil for new and I made 1200km then yellow lamp of oil on dashboard turn on.
I change oil filter base gasket and didn't help.
I should change all pipes connecting oil separator?
What can cause lose so much oil?
What I noticed recently that the oil on the lid is not clear, looks yellow. But that maybe because I'm driving few kilometer ones at week or oil pipes are cracked and water is going in?
It's normal for this engine taking petrol like 23 liter per 100km in town? (automatic gearbox)

luk p had one of those, but a manual with the same engine.
Did you solve this since then ? Maybe it's a valve cover gasket ? Or the turbo leaking ? Although you wouldn't be losing so much oil so quickly if it was a VCG. I do have an oil leak somewhere on mine but it's nothing catastrophic, I have to top up oil every 4-5 months and I suspect it is my valve cover gasket.
