Eli Roth is one of my favorite directors ever, and he's super insightful in this episode. I love how open he is about his faults and his insecurities. I hope one day we do see Michael (and maybe Dane Cook) in an Eli Roth film. Also, call me crazy, but after watching Cannibal Holocaust on Last Drive In with Joe Bob Briggs, I honestly prefer The Green Inferno. It's more realistically gory, far less problematic, and just very well made. Even so, congrats to Eli Roth for starting that discussion, for making History of Horror, and his overall successful film career.

Great interview! Could watch you guys talk like that for hours. Came here after watching the last episode of "History of Horror" S02. Brilliant show. I would have said I know a few things about horror movies, but that show gave me some new perspectives on some of the movies I love and also made me check out some newer stuff, which I often overlook. Oh, and I could really relate to the bit where you say to Eli "I just wanna hang out and watch a horror movie with you" 😂 Don't we all.....🤷♀️

Good dude. Had some duds film-wise but knows his stuff and just loves films. I get behind that any day.
"...he is smarter than I am, obviously. But eh... I always say that. I shouldn't say that, cuz that's bad therapy. I'M SMART!" - That moment was so strong. Every time Michael talks about himself in a bad way I sit here and scream at my computer "Stop being so mean to yourself!" (while relating to that behavior 100% because I do the same all the time) It was great seeing him realizing what he said and correcting himself. Because he IS smart. I hate that stupid inner-voice telling us we are stupid little human beings.

Update from my last message a week ago..Im hemmorroid free!! Now back to the real pain in my ass, thats MR! Haha God I love this dude, I stood up for him from a guy from work, I was thrilled to death a that I got my mug coming in, guy asked ab out why I cared about the mug? I said its more than a mug, its me supporting someone out there who gives a shit, someone who doesnt make a speech and then says ok I did my part, talks about mental health, someone who walks with you daily, someone that fuckin gets it..He said, Well any rich guy will feed you shit long as you give em money................Now, having ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, And a Wonderful Switch that goes on and off and somehow it has a level u can set it too..Alot like a thermostat...Well Im a big guy, 6'5, 260lbs, Ever see a bull in a china shop? Thats my level 1, well his comment put me at John Cusack level aka 2012, because I dont know MR as a friend, I know him simply as 2 things, best fucking lex luthor performance period, fucking gold bro..and most important who he is as a person whether be in front of a fucking camera or not..Down to earth, caring, guy who gets it and really gives a fuck, Now i hate bullies..Like hate bullies, right there with cancer and covid, this comment my co-worker said was a bully statment in my eyes..I said nice and calm, you know..I was about to grab your throat pick you up and grab your butt cheeks, wrap them around your neck and give you an extra pair of shoulders..But Instead I asked, why be a douchbag and shit on someone and something he does that helps God knows how many people? I said I appauld him..He offers a few items, not forcing a damn thing down your throat..Reasonable prices..but what he is fucking doing is getting this show out there, he wants others to talk to others about their health and issues, if the show helps then sweet, thats awesome, he is also being an entertainer which is what he does, and he is good at it so, example, Hey whats that mug about?..Or whats that hat, or shirt, then its a conversation starting, he pays for these products first, and then turns around selling them at cheap prices, its genius that such a man takes the time to do so much for others and doesnt see all the good he does, you dont pay for someones meal, then brag about it...He doesnt give a shit whether its the show, the shirt, the mug or whatever, but if any of those things gets you to watch what maybe an episode that u can relate too..then he is doing his job and no better reward for that...My coworker said damn, my bad, I said its fine, I said tune in next week u will love it..He said oh yeah why is that, I said he will be talking about assholes. Hahahaha Love ya MR.

Oh my God! What Eli said that people are getting kicked out of colleges for a TickTock video. I have a similar story but it was for an actual video that I directed it was for a family member and on the song has a couple multi platinum selling artist. He was so excited to do the song and to shoot the video. And then some hater at his school and told the board .
He’s in his last year to become a doctor and now they’re trying kicking him out because they seen the video and the video is actually Meaningful it’s about life but just because it’s a rap song they’re kicking him out.
It’s ridiculous and We worked so hard on that video.
My Family member literally spent $10,000 for the song and 2 shoot the video I know that doesn’t sound like a lot but to us it is. It’s ridiculous what they’re doing! Everybody so sensitive. It’s crazy!
