I'm getting this sprayer tank in a few day, I'm going to cut the sprayer line 4 to 6inch from the manifold n put a shut off valve in between it. To prevent from having water flowing through the sprayer gun hose n have water go straight into the main 4 nozzle sprayer. I bid n won a Open box of the 4.5gpm pump on Ebay $90, will b replacing the 4.2gpm pump with it n hope it is in good working condition.
That should work well! There is a chance I bail on the electric this year and get a PTO roller pump for it.. this will be year 4 running that little electric motor hard and I think its due for an upgrade. Stay tuned on the channel if this stuff interests you!
Since you been using it for 4yrs does the motor weard down or does it still pump the same? Can this 40gallon tank be converted into pto driven pump? Tractor Supply say's it can't be converted into pto driven.
@@Koua.L Great questions! As it stands, i think the output has slowed down just a touch but not noticeable enough to effect. I will likely be upgrading to a PTO drive this spring. You have to buy the roller pump and remove the electric, but I dont see why not. Stay tuned for a video on it
1:47 I took the bolts out as you recommended. 2 3/4 passes through the field a strap broke and the tank was on the ground. If you take the bolts out you may want to consider adding 2 ratchet straps. This little issue cost me a day and over $70 in parts for the repair. The pump mount is also broken now but I did not replace.
Good deal man, thx for this. Just bought this sprayer and putting it together today. If I didn't watch this, no doubt I would have put the bolts in on the bottom of the tank.
A friend of mine got the same one years ago and had the same bolt crack issue. I got a 40 gallon TSC sprayer, but not a three point model. It rides in the back of the truck. My boom fits into my receiver hitch and I made my boom with two 10 foot spray nozzles from Northern Tool so I get 20 feet with each pass. I plug the switch into the trailer lights and I can turn it on and off by using my light switch in the cab. It is a pretty neat set up. If I had a SxS like a Ranger it would work well in the back bed of that too. Thanks for the video.
Good video. My buddy has the same one as you and I got the pto 50gal version for my tractor. You are right that sun will ruin one quick. Also you are right that my pto version will drop some fluid. I have it set now for 20gal per acre.
That will be my next upgrade is that 50 or 60 gallon with a PTO. I need to speed up that part of the process! Sidenote, do you want that hundred dollar gift card? Just comment with your email then I’ll delete the comment after I grab it and I’ll send that via E card.
Eh, it really depends. For the money, it has worked well overall for me. Big jump in price (and performance) from this one to the PTO powered, so everything is relative

Interesting! Going on year 4 now spraying both spring and fall with no issues. Wonder if they changed something?? Hate to hear that!

The metal straps are pretty flimsy.
I should have known better. 😁
I have one for 2 months. Cracked by the bolts in the bottom returning to tractor supply
Yup! That is why I left the bolts out, learned that from someone before me. 4 years spraying spring, summer, and fall and no leaks for me
@@Yellowlab247_Outdoors I returned mine and ordered a wildlife farming sprayer. Waiting for it to come in so I can compare quality.

Glad you watched, hopefully saved you a lot of headache and money ! Thanks for watching

I run into your videos everywhere, which is pretty cool since I'm in PBO myself.
The channel small hobby farmers and hunters didnt know they needed! Lol PBO short for Pittsboro?

Good review, the price isn’t bad at all, after 3 years it has held up pretty well
I agree, I think they’re more expensive now. The other thing is I keep it under a tarp where it never has sun exposure.
When’s the dove field video gonna be posted
Filmed it today, will try to get it up by tomorrow! Corn is drying out, tons of millet, and a bunch of doves
6 p.m! Its a little long of an update, but lots of good detail so hang in there
So basically its shit as everyone else says.

I would not buy again.
