And in teh wolves game, the ref pulled out a CIRCLE red card, not a rectangle one. Its becoming a joke.

The other issue to make matters worse, you cant call that a "CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERROR" from the ref in the first place. So why was VAR intervening?

The refereeing in the Premier League is and has been for awhile god awful.
Unfortunately we now have referee's who have never played the game... and consequently don't know what a good tackle is.... and the knobs in the VAR ice cream van are even worse!!!!
As an Everton fan I find Farley always very hilarious (in its own way😉), and this time he surely got the proceedings right, too! 😅

Without a doubt, football is a fix, but what have Everton done to deserve the number of dreadful decisions they get.
I think something really sinister is going on.
They did it with Luton a few years back all started because they refused the FA request to pull up the plastic pitch. They gunned for them hard on anything and then hit them with a 30pt deduction in total! Yet city get away with absolutely everything! Joke this is!

Romero was sent off against Chelsea when he was in possession. Chelsea player made no attempt to get the ball, Romero cleared, Chelsea player clattered into him and Romero gets sent off. It's as tho' VAR is on drugs.
To be fair though. Romero should have seen a red card in several games, but got away with some outrageous tackles. And he's one of the worst for rolling around feigning injury. So sorry, but I have little sympathy on this one.

I’ve said it from the beginning , it’s a job for the boys its making referees let other people make the decisions so there Authority isn’t 100% , var wasn’t needed it’s not wanted …. It was a few constantly winging managers that brought this in … They’ll keep bringing in technology to ruin a once great game …

Anybody who witnessed this tackle and has played decent football knows it wasn’t a red card. The Ref should have asked to see the offending mark on the poleaxed players leg, which he was holding until the ambulance arrived……….. The ambulance didn’t arrive. He was up playing like a spring chicken as soon as CL was sent off.

Good players don't matter. Good managers don't matter. Good club management don't matter. How a team plays on the pitch don't matter. The only thing that matters is the scheme of the PGMOL folks. In any given game, their refs and VAR can get whatever result they desire by: 1) Awarding penalties, 2) Red-carding players, 3) Chalking off legit goals, and 4) Turning a blind eye on blatant fouls.
Hit the nail on the head. But because of team rivalry you will get biased fans bantering others but they forget we're all being played most fans are fickle idiots

Most people who have interest and understanding of the game hate VAR. I m surprised that fans aren t doing more to discredit it. I often hear commentators apologise for the odd expletive utterance. Just imagine if fans chanted f××× VAR or VAR is a c××× it might make the authorities sit up and give some thought to its longevity.

I'm a Forest fan and some of the refereeing and var decisions at the city ground have been beyond incompetent, Var needs binning as soon as possible, as we don't have the people capable of reviewing and doing the job correctly. Half the referees want sacking, especially Rob Jones, he's a Derby fan and has an agenda against Forest, abysmal

VAR is not the problem, how can it be? Its just a way of reviewing a moment in time.... the problem is the subjective nature of the rules of the game and their interpretation by differnt humans.... offsides, dangerous tackles and hand ball in the box are all completed subjective and down to the interpretation of whoever is officiating on the day. Its not the system, its the people trying to use it... the rules need to be rules, not guidelines that can be interpretated differently

It was a brilliant tackle, got the ball clearly, and yes got the man with the follow through but there was clearly no intent. Yellow card at best. The game has gone soft and becoming a non contact sport, its pathetic. The game was invented in England so why are FIFA and the rest of the world changing the rules? And this VAR is a load of crap as well. I was watching old clips of Wimbledon Vs Man Utd with Roy Keane getting thrown around like a rag doll by Vinnie Jones and John Fashanu. Keane just got up and got on with it,how it should be. Kantona was getting clattered with off the air lunges knee height and i think only a yellow was given out. That is how the game was meant to be played, not the watered down woman's sport that we see today. Cant bare to watch anymore especially with all the woman pundits and commentators, I cringe listening to it. Men went to football to get away from woman and the nagging wife and crying kids but woman just cant let men have anything to themselves.
