great vid ! It's good to see somemeone not go balls to the walls by default, and make some more accessible strats that don't require you to invest divines worth into one map.
SSF sort of forces that on you, but even in trade I enjoyed the more chill and low-investment strategies. And in SSF, you just have to take what's handed to you. It's the beauty of it.
As you make the dive into SSF, you will also learn a lot pretty fast. You can start SSF even and once you are really stuck and not willing to continue, you just migrate to trade. The advantage of SSF, especially with all the trade drama lately, is massive I feel. The game is just much more fun if you actually have to play all of the aspects of it
Thanks very much for this; i was planning on using kirac div-card farming to get my build-enabling unique but now will definitely add this strat too! and jazz is back, yay! 😊
hi men I saw your videos and decided to give ssf a try and the truth is I'm having a great time knowing that you don't have to be aware if your items in less than 1 day or hours are not going to be worth anything it's great to know that everything I farm is What I need at the moment I'm trying to get my first unique ones and I almost have the last tree unlocked thank you very much and the experience in ssf is very nostalgic to know that each item can be an improvement it's something that gave me back the desire to play I'm going through a bad moment and this made me at least have a little happiness getting excited for every new item I get thank you very much and I adore your content despite being from Latin America I am looking for ways to follow you thank you and sorry for so much text
Thanks for this man, very new to SSF and was wondering about an easy method for farming unqiues and this seems pretty simple to start with! Dreamfeather and Beltimber blade here I come! Hopefully at least! I read they are tier 3 which doesn't seem to bad to farm.
You're welcome. It is a good method, very accessible. The scarabs are not too rare, and you get indeed plenty of uniques. Tier 3 should be farmable for sure.
Any reason you don't take Meticulous Appraiser? I'm running a strategy similar to this in HCSSF, specifically trying to get Foible. Curious what your thoughts are on this?
I found the trade-off simply not worth it. I tried it out for a bunch of maps, but the lack in quantity is very noticeable, while the increase in rarity isn't. Also, in SSF at least, less rare items and scarabs can still be very valuable. So I decided to not run it after testing. I have found plenty of rare uniques without it, including a foible.
I love the concept! I tried a fully juiced T16 8-mod corrupted map with all the scarabs and (more or less) this atlas. I got plenty of uniques but I couldn't finish the map, it was too rippy. If you had to scale it down, what would you remove first? (This includes atlas nodes, adding more shrines/niko, maybe not doing 8-mod corrupted but a regular 6-mod instead,...)? What would your order of "importance" be if you had to scale it down a bit but still make it worth it? Thank you!! I'm not trying to get many uniques, just a T4 Perseverance Belt. :)
Hey there. I would run then a regular T16, reduce map modifier effect if you took that for some reason, or just try a T14. I think this should work perfectly fine at T14. Perseverance drops all the time, you can see me dropping at least two in this video alone, but while testing I dropped many, many more.
@@Thyworm Thanks for the fast reply. Started watching some of your other SSF vids in the meantime - great content. I've subbed. I'll let you know how it went :D
The all purpose atlas I made is pretty good for scarab farming. I think scarab farming is just taking the scarab nodes on the tree, plus doing a mechanic you like. I like strongboxes, and it is really good because the monsters respawn all the time.
Thank you for this idea, I’ve been struggling to get uniques to drop just using unique scarabs I didn’t think to spec into rogues and ritual. Can’t wait to try it for my 3rd atlas passive tree when I get unlock it. Do you have a suggested favored map setup for this? Just vaal temple?
If you can get vaal temples, those are great with that many strong boxes. But any map with high density works. I like Thicket, Jungle Valley and Lookout, to give a few examples of normal maps. Vault I enjoy as well.
Great video. I just finished the Atlas with RF Chief and now Im farming up corpses to craft for my next build. What builds would you suggest is a good build (not DD) that would work for your strat? I was thinking an Archmage build but Ive never built one before so I dont know how tanky and bosskilly it is. Anyway thx for the info.
hmm, I don't really know honestly what people are playing. The DD is good and easy to set up, but if you don't want to play it... I mean, ice shot and lightning arrow deadeyes seem to do very well, you could look into that.
hi, thank you for the vids. Im currently struggling to find anathema moonstone ring and shavrone moonstone ring. I have tried 4 days straight of strongbox farming, rogues unique farming, gwennen gamble,... to no avail. I just respec tree into ritual tech lately by your vid. Can I ask from your experience, what map should I farm and when should expect to drop anathema ring, what should I do to improve. Those rings are cheap in trade league but here I cant seem to find one :(
Then anathema is a rare ring with no divination cards, unfortunately. I've Only found one, and that was using the strategy in this video. The shavronne ring has divination cards, the thaumaturgist. I farmed Foundry for it. It is farmable for sure.
All scarabs are random drops. They can drop from anywhere. By using the tree nodes, you simply drop more scarabs and you give specific scarabs you want a higher chance to drop. I'm only running T16 at this point. Lower tiers will likely drop less scarabs, and some may have level restrictions. But I wouldn't worry too much about that honestly and just enjoy the end game and map. As you get stronger, you can play higher tier content, and more and more scarabs will drop for you
I'm not yet at the stage where I have enough maps and scarabs for some more testing, unfortunately. I'm trying out a few things, but there is nothing yet like this it seems. It is also still early league, people are still figuring out everything. Shipping might even be reliable to some extent, who knows.
I don't have filters for that. I use one filter in SSF which I update as the league progresses. I can't share that, because it is super strict at this point, not even chaos orbs show up anymore. I'm working on a video for making a loot filter for SSF though, so there's that at least
It doesn't apply to rogues, which are already unique right? Spawning the ghost could work, but only 50% and I'm not picking up corpses anymore. It is also 5 points investment on the tree, so I decided against it.
Asking because I'm curious -> Meticulous appraiser seemed like a good fit with this combo, why are you not taking it? I saw that pre-nerf, people were often going with meticulous appraiser + increased map mod effect, but I can't say I understand the full strategy. Thanks for the vid!
Hey, I should have mentioned that actually. I tried meticulous appraiser for a bunch of maps, but what you mostly notice is way less drops, also in scarabs. People go with map mod effect, because it increases quantity, which then gets turned to rarity. But less loot overall, and your maps get very hard to run, as map mod effect also amplifies the bad mods. So I skipped it ultimately
Ye, you can. I'm not a massive fan of that node. Sacrificing that much quantity didn't feel great at all. I tried it, but I'm not convinced it is the way to go, personally
@Gamepersonality another thing I considered isn't just the uniques, but other useful loot in SSF. Without quantity, you drop less maps, scarabs, etc. depending on how much you want those, it also factors in to my decision
@@Thyworm and you are right. I tested both with and without MA and it makes a huge impact. I get much more of everything without it.
