Nice flathead, Dave. We used to go up the French Broad by Sevierville/Little Pigeon River to catch eating-size flatheads. Ten pounders were too big. We thought it the best place in the late 70s and early 80s. I remember you fishing up there a couple of times. Great memories, Dave. Thanks once again for a fun trip and the prettiest catfish.
I grew up where he lives. This flathead is about the size of my biggest. A friend fishing next to me caught one that we didn't weigh but we showed it to a couple of TWRA agents and we all agreed it was 50-60 pounds. Biggest flathead I ever saw. We released it, of course. We went catfishing a lot more than we ate it and for eating 10 pounds is too big. 🙂👍
Um must be my age (72). Don’t do 25 min videos. River fished for catfish mostly channels from sandbars. Old Coleman gas lantern up River law chair 2 poles down river side. Throw lines in between. Started dusk fished until beer gone or tired. Bugs drawn to lantern left me alone. Great memories
I had to rewind to Make sure I heard him.. that's the first time I've heard anything like that out of Dave. Still going to watch every video that he puts out.
I'll give him a pass. Most of the time he cuts those things out, or masks them with other noise, primarily kittens. He also makes a pretty conscious decision to keep from using his dip. Although lately he has been laxed on that.
Thank you for sharing another catfishing video I enjoy watching catfish Dave.
Yes. I agree .
Wow nice Flathead.
Been watching Dave a long time and this is the first time I've seen him wash his hands. He's getting soft.😂😂

Dave, you are a great fisherman but I don't know why you don't have rags in your neat boat?
Love your content...tell me why do you have a swivel above the weight as well as the one Connecting the leader. Is it a weight stop?
Good job dave
Great video. If you would have ate some cheese you would have caught more fish.. lol.
What size weight is that
Nice spot
What kind of weights were you using this time?
THANKS!
Thanks Dave

Always keep the light as far away as possible
Catfish Dave, why do u use the rattles?
To keep the bait off of the bottom.
Rattles are to make noise and attract the fish.
👍
You to late in the morning morning bite usually ends about 9-10 till evening
This is a video, there were UFO's and catfish in the video, so that makes it a UFO, cat fishing video...........
