I love all the Jesse videos about custom corrugated.... so are you guys a distrubuter? wondering if we could do business together? check us out at buildaboxonline.com. Dan@buildaboxonline.com
Yes, it's all the nonsense around "design thinking" stripped down to one essential statement. One thing - package designers are pretty-good (usually) at designing to meet the end-user (customer) needs but they routinely create head-aches for their own production departments. The "physical world" has multiple locations and your production people are as much your client as your box-buying end-user is.
CorelDRAW isn't a suitable software for structural design however, you can import a dieline into this software so you can add/create graphics. Have your CAD operator export the dieline as a .dxf file and it will import the dieline at 100% of the original size. BTW - Almost nobody uses CorelDRAW in packaging design anymore, at least not in North America.
Just what I was looking to go over before I attend a interview

Hey Dan! Thanks for the kind words. We'll be in touch :)
"Design with the physical world in mind" applies to pretty much anything related to packaging design. I'll use this with my followers for sure.

@@pourlefun Good point! I agree. Packaging has many homes :). We must consider everything including production, shipping, retail, use, and recycling.

Artios.CAD or impact.cad will do the job...not CorelDraw!
