I never realized you don’t have much of a bluegill bite up by you! They are my favorite fish to target on thru the ice here in Wisconsin. Awesome you got on a big school like that. The non-stop action is tough to beat, no matter the size! Really awesome footage with the underwater camera too. So cool to see them interact & learn from it! Keep on slaying 💪🏼 🎣 🧊

oh my god!! Jay you went to the same coulee pond I go to. When you show the road being snowed in at the beginning you can see tire tracks from a truck getting stuck and that was me! If you ever come back try the actual diversion just south, it is alot better for perch and northern. This is go to spot and it makes me happy to see my favorite UA-camr fish it.

So, you say you haven’t really caught bluegill since rare at home. So I have to ask, have you eaten them?
I know many people will disagree with me, but bluegill are some of my favorite table fare! At least as good as walleye, in my humble opinion! And walleye is amazing table fare that I can’t get enough of as it is!

Fished one of the other lakes in that chain of lakes in high school. Spent lots of time out there, some of those pike lurking in there get really big and one or two of them still have Clam Dropkicks in their lip after fishing for perch. That mall is also called Grand Cities Mall, when KMart was there we spent lots of time there 😂
