I never realized you don’t have much of a bluegill bite up by you! They are my favorite fish to target on thru the ice here in Wisconsin. Awesome you got on a big school like that. The non-stop action is tough to beat, no matter the size! Really awesome footage with the underwater camera too. So cool to see them interact & learn from it! Keep on slaying 💪🏼 🎣 🧊
oh my god!! Jay you went to the same coulee pond I go to. When you show the road being snowed in at the beginning you can see tire tracks from a truck getting stuck and that was me! If you ever come back try the actual diversion just south, it is alot better for perch and northern. This is go to spot and it makes me happy to see my favorite UA-camr fish it.
Don’t mention the spot name!
@@jacksweenytv1583 too late were all going to Coulee pond now
Funny
@@jacksweenytv1583 it's a family pond. Plus anyone who watches jay is welcome to my spot.
@@jarensandbeck5350 if I ever make it to North Dakota I'll have to come back and find this to message you! Lol
Next time you’re in North Dakota stop by metigoshe if you want trophy class bluegill and some pretty nice crappies as well! Also getting scheels as a catch and cook retailer would be awesome!
Just found your channel, now addicted. Informational and very entertaining.
They're tasty little fish too.
Well if I'd known you'd been fishing there because I live in forks I'd would've came out and fished with you, and showed you the other nice pond to the east
I should also add if you went about a hour to the east around mentor MN on union lake, big crappies and bluegills
One of the best panfish vids I’ve seen yet! Epic job Jay!
Great content and like your attention to detail. You also are obviously having fun! Hope your test was negative.
come to arizona and fish lake havasu for redear sunfish... over 6lb WR out of there....
If ever; hit me up to take you to some fun spots further south and around Fargo ND. Walleye, Large Perch/Bass, and Crappie. Anytime 👍
Move to America?
Next trip gotta hit up the boy tom boley
watching jay yell at bluegills for trying to eat the jig is the greatest thing ever!
So, you say you haven’t really caught bluegill since rare at home. So I have to ask, have you eaten them?
I know many people will disagree with me, but bluegill are some of my favorite table fare! At least as good as walleye, in my humble opinion! And walleye is amazing table fare that I can’t get enough of as it is!
i love bluegill, if you can catch like 30 and have a nice fry they are soooo good
I dont think many people will disagree with you sir. Everyone i know regard bluegills as top of the list for eaters!
Should have turned that video into a catch n cook!!! Bluegill are the absolute best!!!❤️
Sam we thank you for sharing Jay with us !!!
LOL awesome video. Looked like so much fun. Should have done some circus music while yanking all those gills up. Can I see that in a UA-cam short?!?!
Unreal video man so many
Whether you call them Brim or Bluegills, the incredible Pumkinseeds, the awesome Redears, these awesome species keep me entertained on the ice. As you mentioned, the colors can be incredible, so vibrant, and the bigger ones on light tackle sure make a day on the ice enjoyable.
Thanks for the visual. Always great to see when you post a video, I know it will be awesome!
average sunfish enjoyer
10" is the beginning of trophy imo
Love that you make content in the states. Clayton needs to take notes. 😏
Bluegill are my favorite fish to catch and my favorite to eat! I keep them from 7.5 to 9 inches. Any over 9 inches are trophies to me and they get put back.
Jay you should've had a signing day @Brothers Firearms.
🇺🇸come to Wisconsin
I catch a lot of bluegills here in Nebraska. That was cool to see them bite on the Aquaview. I was hoping for the 100 count! Great editing with the music. Oh and congrats on the first retailer of catch and cook in the states. You'll get more retailers soon for sure.
MAN! If I'd known you were in Forks I might have headed that way instead of fishing to the east. Come through Minnesota soon, we can hunt northern all over!
tinyyyyyy gills omg
Bliegill chips are so good! Takes some work but they are tasty
Awesome video Jay! Gotta ask though, what a good microphone to use for recording on Iphone?
Yeah because Trudeau is a dictator! Glad you got to enjoy some American freedom. Come back anytime! Hopefully the good people of Canada will be heard. My wife’s grandfather died last year she’s Canadian and we couldn’t even attend the funeral because of Trudeau’s idiotic laws. Enough is enough.
I've never meant Steve, but he was raised in twin lake Michigan and my hometown is holton Michigan. Witch is only about 10 mins away from where he was raised, but its kinda cool just thinking about it. when I fish the muskegon lake or river, knowing that he's fished that same body of water. Great video by the way keep it up jay 🔥🔥
Jay Great Work on all the Post your Part of!!!!! You Made me Excited to See you On My Game....The Gills Keep me Busy all Winter Long.... Go Bigger on Tackle if you want the Bulls in stead of the Caves on the in between sizes.....
Great underwater camera tape
That's pretty neat watching those bluegill scarfing down that jig. There is a line to be drawn for electronics......I'll let you know when I get there. Lol
🇺🇸 🇨🇦
That's a legit cloud of bluegill you landed on
Jay this was the coolest Ice video on UA-cam
Bluegills are the tastiest fish besides perch! C’mon down to MN, WI or SD and hammer some bulls! Pound for pound they fight the hardest! Translation: kg for kg, they fight the hardest! 😝 A 2 lb / .9 kg gill fights like a 17” / 43 cm small mouth! 🎣🤙🏼
As always Great video!!
I am about to buy Live scope but not sure which screen unit I should buy. I was thinking about UHD 95sv or same unit as yours 106sv Ultra. Which one will be better overall? (Battery consumption, weight, screen resolution/reflection, portability). Thanks in advance!
If you want to actually chase some big a$$ blue gill, lemme know. Couple good spots here in WI for monstahs :-). Probably one of my favorite fish to catch, and one of my favorites to eat!
Nice
I think panfish may be the most fun to catch. It’s most peoples first catch but that spark for them never goes away!
Hell yeah jay! can’t wait for the new season of meat eater now 😈
This is so awesome Watching my favorite UA-camr fisherman who just happens to be in Grand Forks North Dakota. Im born and raised from grand forks so awesome to you in my town next time you come up make sure you catch a UND hockey game amongst the fishing. Love the videos!
Bluegill snobs? Love it Jay. Id put a knife through all of those after the first! Thank you!
Meat Eater...right?
Nice episode …. Have you ever caught Kokanee Salmon icefishing couple lakes in Kamloops Bc we hammered them?
“Oooo I want that crappie!” Said every panfish angler with a camera….
Jay, you could do some pretty fantastic bluegill fishing in northern mn on remote lakes within 2hrs of I falls or even rainy river crossing.
Bluegill do well in aquaponics. Up in Canada, that might be a greenhouse aquaponics system.
I out catching Gills today myself. I'm in CP outside Ottawa.
You should consider on coming to fish here in Eastern Ontario. We have bluegill, pumpkin seed, and more.
Bummer that you don't have any bluegills up there, pound for pound, they are the toughest fighters around! I love how excited you are about them, we just take them for granted because they're so plentiful. Come on down to central MN sometime, there are some brutes to be found if you know where to look.
That was a fun one.
It's kind of funny! You want to catch bluegills and I want to catch perch!
Just got off of devils lake last weekend such an amazing experience limited out on walleye!
Blue gill is a staple fish in the states ... big ones in Michigan lakes ... they eat good too!!! Gills and pumpkin seeds are great for teaching kids to fish open and hardwater
Lots of blue gill in the Peterborough area. Get those larva at the pet store lol. Awesome video again Jay 👏
Jay, what all did you have to do to come to the states, then back to Canada? Have friends that want to come down, but trying to find out what they need to cross in, and then back out has been a nightmare. Or could you share where you got the information on what you needed. Thanks! Love the videos!
Fished one of the other lakes in that chain of lakes in high school. Spent lots of time out there, some of those pike lurking in there get really big and one or two of them still have Clam Dropkicks in their lip after fishing for perch. That mall is also called Grand Cities Mall, when KMart was there we spent lots of time there 😂
Pound for pound I'd say bluegills pull better than anything.
They eat real good too!
Down in Iowa on farm ponds we catching 12 to 14 inch bluegill all day it's fun and good eating
Awesome video Jay, big fan
Man, I'd love to have some of the toys you have for ice fishing. Love the live cam ... so many bluegills just sitting there! What a hoot.
one of the best fish to eat
You should go stealhead fishing in the Great Lakes
Yeah I meant to say in the spring
Spikes are my favorite they are way more durable than a waxie can load them up on the hook for perch and they can take a licking before being ripped off
You should come to pelican lake MN in the late spring you’ll catch the big ones
It like Aron catching them with a drone. East into Minnesota a little ways you can get some clear water and camera fish sunnies all day long. We have a lot of snow so the light isn’t the best. O yea and after your done catching fish you loose track of time and need to get another test.
I just fished it today and i didnt know about this video on it until my friend that i was with told me and we caught a pretty decent crappie and a perch with a lot of bluegills in the mix
I bet your fingers were raw from the dorsal fins after unhooking all them haha!
Should’ve done the bare hook challenge, awesome video.
Bluegill extravaganza! Well done!! More bluegill videos.....
"American is a great place".
That is very nice of you to say.
No way, you totally were right by me and hit one of my OG spots
Them sammies in the yellow package..are way better heated up
That's crazy you don't have bluegill
You should try Michels Bay Ontario the cuts are full.
just crushing blue gills haha awesome
hahahaha im looking at the fish when 1 of their friends disappears. Where did he go lol
Im going to give that down view rig a try. On crappies!
Should have taken some home. Great for the table
You can hear how cold it is lol. Also.. dongle 😂
You going to be on Netflix???? Moving up :)
Perfect fish species to get kids into fishing!
What screen do you use on your Livescope ?
Been waiting for a local Catch and Cook retailer!... I will be there this week to get some! Great footage Jay!
do you by chance know Jason Bilous
I'm born and raised in grand forks and looks like you went to the English Coulee also known as Thompson diversion. There is some decent pike in the far pond! My favorite youtuber!!! Wouldve loved to join you on this trip and showed ya some good spots out there! Keep doing what you're doing man you're a great person!
Also fun fact me and my friend were at the pond for 2 hours during the summer and we caught 82 sunfish!!!
What pole is that for your scope?
Great video Jay. I can't imagine how many times you can fish and record them at the same time. If I go icefishing, I would have to take one week break, it makes me so tired. Good on you man.
This is the content everyone wants
English Coulee diversion
Awesome video. Even bluegill are a great time.
And Canada is a great place too!
How many fish you catch
Awesome videos 👍
@12:47 you're catching 9.5 inch bluegill?
We live 2 miles from that pond and I caught a 11.5 inch chonk of a gill
This video reminds me of perch fishing in blackstrap SK.. Perch every drop, and a pike or walleye every now n again.. Looks fun!
Keep posting
Mint content as always!!
This is stupid fun watching you watch fish bite. I love fishing for Blues. They are always ready to come home for supper. Canada knows fish, Blues are great to have kids discover fishing
This is so fun to watch. You and I must be kindred spirits. I can go catch a trophy , then go catch sunnies and have the same excitement. I lose my f'ing mind every time I catch a big pumpkinseed.
