White lungi you have mentioned is not lungi it is Vetti, Tamil men's traditional dress. Lungi is a casual wear and multi coloured cloth. For Lungi the two ends are stitched and formed like a ring but vetti is a rectanguler pure white cloth with small golden or coloured boarders. Also it is open ended. Vetti is different from Lungi.
