You want easy solutions. That's why your praise is based on what popular media feeds.
Just two examples, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh deeply sukk when it comes to collective Economic development. Kerala gets on okay because of high remittances that Indians in working in foreign countries send to Kerala.
You know nothing about Social Dynamics of Dakshina Rajyas. We don't think much Pol, Cas and Rel? Hahaha. Yes we do think about those but development is equally taken in consideration, that's the main difference. But thats' not true for AP and Kerala, they don't care about development, just like Chattisgarh or Rajasthan.

Salem is one of the largest industrial hub in tamilnadu like textiles,handlooms,steel, bauxite, magnesite and other mining industries...one of the largest contributor for state's economy and third largest economical district after Chennai metropolitan area and Coimbatore.... still many more industries are in construction like Hindustan aeronautics limited for defence and aerospace equipments , Coimbatore-salem industrial corridor etc...

Tamilnadu state no religious issue like North . People are literate. No Hindu Muslim. Peaceful and Socio economic strongest state.
There was a person called Kamraj Nadar ,who was Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu between 1957 and 1965. Who laid foundation for what Tamil Nadu is to day. He opened nesrly 15000 schools in that period. Moreover he was instrumental in bringing BHEL , HPF, ICF , and other prestigious institution.

He was instrumental in constucting many irrigation projects in T.N. He and his team were honest. He denied introduction of WINE culture in T.N. He was in the opinion of education must be free and government should provide that. And many more. These Dravidian parties are responsible for WINE culture. These Dravidian parties are responsible for corruption. These Dravidian parties are responsible for rowdyism in TN. These Dravidian parties are responsible for introduction of money in elections. And many more. Note the difference. ( He conceded a few disputed Tamil land to Karnataka , Kerala and Andhrapradesh. Thinking that these land is also in India . ) Take brighter side of a man in to account.

Guys what is to be noted is the inclusive growth..when you compare with state like Maharashtra and Gujarat..which was achieved by massive political ideologies which were and is present Tamil Nadu..social embeddness is a concept which decides future of a state's major population and that social embeddness is based upon the principle and agenda of a political party which reflects in policy making..that's where Tamil Nadu nailed it than anybody else in india

TN gives GST ₹1 and takes ₹0.40 from centre.
That's why, lot of development in UP.
Even, other south people also give high GST and less returns from centre.
