Looks like the Suspension is kind of Bottomed Out, Josh. What do you plan for that? Maybe they make Brass Springs! /s How about some Brass Links -like 3/8" rod. I know you could fab up some Brass Bumpers. You got a long way to go yet!
I just built a really heavy truggy trx4 with a solid steel welded cage. Having the weight up high, too made the body roll and weight transfer more scale than I ever could have hoped. It's a joy to drive and somehow you can feel the weight through the transmitter lol
The little grunt picking up the battery tells you he aint lying about it weighing 8 pounds XD, and the drop on the truck when you sat the battery on was wild
That's an insane amount of weight 😳 one thing I didn't hear you mention though was the shocks I presume you will be swapping the springs out for something that can handle the..... I would like to say extra weight but that sentence just doesn't carry enough weight to it 😂🤣😂 well done buddy gunna be nuts 🏴💯
When I first stumbled across this video I thought, WHAT? Why?!? Then I thought, hell why not! Let’s see what Harley is into now. I’m curious what SBG is thinking about it. Lol
Ok Josh after you say your all said and done adding brass to that rig then you gotta look at your transmitter that your using for that TRX4 and add brass weights to that transmitter cause for #1 You need to feel the weight in your hands as you drive that beast!..🤣
Yup I used the hr ultimate brass weights in the front of my tactical. And brass portal covers for the back. I like to get the diff covers too. And I'm happy with the weight.
Given the weight of it, I'd be worried about breaking the body when it rolls, maybe a functional steel cage could be useful to avoid too much body cracking?
Possibly black metal running boards, metal bumpers and a winch (Obvious but not out of the blue weight addiction), the traxxas long arm lift kit?, then bigger crawling tires with more rigid foams? All Obvious but not out of the ordinary in my opinion
And they say the scx6 is heavy,i would be taking this out just to see how many people i could get to pick it up for me and some how record there response it would be great!
Gonna need some stiffer springs lol. Also last time around I said exocage. But in all serious building one for the inside might not be a bad idea to keep that battery safe
So one part you will need to change to make this even move is the slipper clutch. I have all metal axles and a castle brushless system and it fried 2 slippers in 10 mins. Spur gear and slipper eliminate are necessary
Hell all I did to my TRX4 2021 Bronco was add a expensive RC4WD roof rack and it totally ruined its handling even at lower speeds while turning. Now with heavy metal front/rear bumpers, a large 3s lipo, it helps offset the top heavy feel but any jumps even small makes this THUD. Heavy accel has me waiting for some $$ and time consuming trans/gear repairs. If one can say slow, no jumps and crawl go for it.
That's INSANE!!! 😳😆😜😎 I would seriously consider getting some stock Clodbuster Springs for it, to have a chance of ANY suspension.... Unless bottomed out is part of the joke!
Fill the tires with lead shot, No8 should do it. Use fine grind salt as suspension medium. At least 1.5 lbs per tire. Or fill them with wire pulling lube.
I bet you are going to find that the TRX4000 will react in a very realistic manor while crawling. It might surprise you. I reommend that you run a 9t pinion and the under drive ring and pinion front and rear.
You gotta set it up at a get toogether with the big battery and ask people to pick it up and film peoples reactions😆 idk how youd do it without it being obvious, but it would be hilarious 😆
I.got a trx4 that does well with brass to ass lol it hangs with tgh rigs and other comp rigs . I run 1.9x4.19 tires as well. It definitely shows off and it does well. Basically just the shoulder to the holder style (welding term) I think if you give it a whirl it does good. Just pick a body your ok with destroying lol. I run the ovonic 2200mah 3s 50c up front with a 3D printed set-up.
sweet build but could be heavier with some vitavon axles. i gave my yeah racing stuff to my brother and installed vitavon. a bit more heavy. that battery tho.....
30000 battery capacity? awesome. There is no need to add weight. But the battery position seems too high. If you climb the rock wall, it will turn over well, but I'm curious about the reviews.😅😅😅👍👍👍
Great update Josh! Your build is truly getting well over the top! Not sure if you considered a "heavy metal" scale driver for this unit? Lol! Perhaps that has been considered already! :-)
The world called, and they'd like you to stop using all it's brass reserves.
How are you feeling, Matt?
Matt did you notice Josh's shirt??? IT'S A FLANNEL SHIRT!!!!!!
This is wild. How many days since you’ve used brass???
"This project hasn't really been about cost"..... your next tee shirt ;)
No seriously, great idea!!! 👍
this is somehow awesome and terrifying at the same time.
imagine that big boi rolling towards your leg when it flips while climbing..
that body is absolutely mashed
Worse than a damn bolder lmao
The running video for this needs to just be going to an event and asking unsuspecting people to grab your truck for you and getting their reactions.
I just commented the same thing before i seen this lol. It would be a great idea.

Looking good. I would put a roof rack on it and then have a cast lead canoe on there for the scale points. It would add another 20 lbs or so.
The little grunt picking up the battery tells you he aint lying about it weighing 8 pounds XD, and the drop on the truck when you sat the battery on was wild
Hilarious when you set the battery in and the truck squatted!
It definitely needs some stiffer springs, especially the rear!
So, you're pretty much doing what the average Gen8 owner does.
Josh
30+ pounds that's awesome dude. Good work!!!
Nothing to do with weight but you need a Livestream when you finally run that beast. Fully charged 30,000mah lipo till dead. Nonstop. Lol
Brass servo mount, brass link balls, metal sliders, metal skid plates, metal drive shafts, metal cross braces, metal transmission case, metal bumpers.
Pretty much all of those things are done. Not the bumpers because metal bumpers just don't look as good as the stock ones.
Then paint them...@@HarleyDesignsInc
I’ve been looking forward to this one!
When I first stumbled across this video I thought, WHAT? Why?!? Then I thought, hell why not! Let’s see what Harley is into now. I’m curious what SBG is thinking about it. Lol

Would love to see this drag a scx6 around and watch peoples unsuspecting faces :D
🤘😂
Definitely do some suspension work, also there are brass bumper mounts. Love the idea to leave it in the way at an event.
Yup I used the hr ultimate brass weights in the front of my tactical. And brass portal covers for the back. I like to get the diff covers too. And I'm happy with the weight.

...and it would add more weight!
I'd be more worried about it breaking the ground 😉
9:54 "Weight to go..." I see what you did there..
Looking forward to the next trx4000 update six months from now...
Possibly black metal running boards, metal bumpers and a winch (Obvious but not out of the blue weight addiction), the traxxas long arm lift kit?, then bigger crawling tires with more rigid foams? All Obvious but not out of the ordinary in my opinion
This is so pointless. I love it. I can't help but think about this on a trail and being a "remote charging station" with that battery.
I love how absurd this is. I bet if the same parts were available for an SCX6 that thing would be over 100 pounds easy.
Don’t give him any ideas
And they say the scx6 is heavy,i would be taking this out just to see how many people i could get to pick it up for me and some how record there response it would be great!
One of my favourite shenanigans second or equal to the high speed trx6 OMG63
Gonna need some stiffer springs lol. Also last time around I said exocage. But in all serious building one for the inside might not be a bad idea to keep that battery safe
I've been waiting for this second weighted brass video . Good morning video time.
So one part you will need to change to make this even move is the slipper clutch. I have all metal axles and a castle brushless system and it fried 2 slippers in 10 mins. Spur gear and slipper eliminate are necessary
That battery is Ridiculous man😭🙄😄😄
No tungsten frame rails? Depleted uranium frame braces?
Yeah racing sweating right now hoping their axles hold up for at least a few feet in the first running video.
I think its gonna need some leaf springs for all that weight! 😆😉
Brass ones
Hell all I did to my TRX4 2021 Bronco was add a expensive RC4WD roof rack and it totally ruined its handling even at lower speeds while turning. Technically scale weight, Matt should love this haha
Its gonna drive like it has the scale servo suspension lol
Longer run times bro lol
That's INSANE!!! 😳😆😜😎
I would seriously consider getting some stock Clodbuster Springs for it, to have a chance of ANY suspension....
Unless bottomed out is part of the joke!

You are having way too much fun, doing something that we all know you hate to see. LMAO Nice watching you have fun.
Missing the sound insulation in the interior of the body! 😆 Btw I love your channel, keep it up 👌
I would add steel weights to the inside of the body . Like the ones they use to balance wheels.
You need to enter this into the Strong Man competition at next years Proline BTF. I think you have a winner 🤣.
Im surprised you haven't gone with metal bumpers yet, lmao, you know for trail performance
Hopefully you're going to upgrade the shocks look like they was about to shoot outta there
I bet you are going to find that the TRX4000 will react in a very realistic manor while crawling. It might surprise you. I reommend that you run a 9t pinion and the under drive ring and pinion front and rear.
One of the guys I drive with will take this truck and make his own version of it, he really think brass solves everything with a crawler
Just a shot in the dark here but I'm guessing you'll be running full droop. 😆😆 Whether you want to or not.
Oh what about Brass Hardware screws?? I’ve seen a build where the guy even swapped out all the hardware for brass
Somebody is gonna slip a disk picking that up hahaha
Those poor shocks.... I can hear them screaming the whole second half of this video. Gonna need some Miata struts for this thing!
The battery occupies any room a scale driver would be in 😂
@@HarleyDesignsInc even a half driver? With the proper foam seat of course. 😂
Hahahahaha this is awesome.
The lipo is intence.
The truck is ridiculously awesome.
Sick rig! My trx weighs 8.6 with a 2s 5000
I just hope we get a running video
Fun project! When will we see it drive?
Lmfao! 🤣 One tumble down a climb and that thing is toast (not to mention a lethal weapon)! Still, I am DYING to see that thing run!!! 🤪
Awesome build can't wait for it to roll out.....also can I scoop up that xl5 you're taking out?
Is it heavier than an SCX6 yet?
I guess it’s good to say the suspension is in droop
The proscale lights wont give you reverse with brushless right? I love everything about this project, its the right kind of stupid :D
One year run time without charging 😂👍🏻
Ok it's starting to feel like Christmas with this channel find🤣🏎 Subbed up man!
Ask John holmes about making you a brass motor can and brass heat sink for motor and esc lol
I pray for the body of this rig if it rolls over hahahahaha
Josh, where are the brass links???? LOLLL
You need beefier springs/ more shocks lol
That things gonna need some big shocks lol
It's not going to be a matter of "can it crawl"...it's more of "will it climb".
Did you do brass bumpers mounts?
I love this project!
I'd go stock tactic servo honestly lol
It'd be pretty cool if someone machined STEEL axle housings for scale crawlers.
Nice droop setup
I think you need to run dual socks!
I feel like this video is intended for those brass heads we have out there lol
What Foams are in those tires man? Wooden Rings?😄😄
Running video where you run through that entire 30k mah battery please
I think it may need air suspension or some leaf springs....
Hi Harley. How did you modify the front bumper to fit in there? The front bumper mount is different.
I designed a new mount to make this work.
Josh is building a condensed scx6
I love this. keep up the good work,
The heaviest rc I own is the rc bulldozer from rc4wd it is 63lbs. But no where near the agility or speed naturally. Lol
I love every about this build!
WHEN IS THE VIDEO OF THE FINISHED RIG DUE?!
Brassmaster Classic
That battery wowowwwwwwwwww last all week running ?????
I can’t stop looking at the huge battery it’s like a train wreck
Sh!!t that thing is built up. Nice work
With as heavy as it is how long do you think the run time is ?
On 30,000 man probably all day lol
Why doesn't vanquish make parts for trx 4?
Not the way I would go but good on you go for the gold
just add another lower voltage battery for the led light kit
You need some 1/5 scale shocks
