I LOVE IT!! I’ve been making my crawlers into fast monsters for a while now. Never thought about making the Bronco into a fast beast like you did here. Very NICE!! Yes, i see you would definitely have to change all the stock items out for the bronco. Especially, the way in which the bronco drives. It’s top heavy and likes to turn over a lot. Can’t wait to see the changes in your next video!
Awesome job as always brother, I do the same always keep traxxas as traxxas, no matter the upgrade, it may cost more, but in the long haul of it all, traxxxas upgrades no matter what have yet to fail. I'm still not sure of the velenion in my trx4's, but I know that system is awesome, I've put one in what was the brushed bandit, the thing flies now!
You can use the light kit with the brushless system and have the reverse light function working. Just use the maxx link cable in the receiver. I do it with my hobbywing fusion and everything work perfectly.
It should be able to conquer all terrain now! Great job! Got an eREVO 1/16 a couple of days back which is flat out an awesome little truck even on NimH. Truthfully, it makes me want the larger one even more. 😂
I have gotten 15 mph on a completely stock original Bronco rinning a Lectron Pro 5200 50c battery and that seems to be more than enough. I would not want to lose functionality such as access to the locking differentials which are most definitely needed in tough terrain. I have several 1/8 scale brushless vechiles that hit the extremely high speeds. I assume a sensored brushless system would help but it still may struggle in very tough terrain without the locking differentials.
I have such back luck with those hex screw drivers slipping. I tighten them down but still don't hold I have to keep some vice grips handy to break some things lose
I bought the same setup BUT for my 1979 Ford Bronco. You just convinced me to get the Velineon motor, I bought replacement metal parts ahead as well all Traxxas branded save for the push bar and roof rack. Question, how did you manage to make the light system work especially for the reverse lights?
Is that system "waterproof"? I want to go brushless in my 1/10 Summit but I mainly run it in streams/brooks and mud. Don't want to spend money on the brushless system if I'm just gonna ruin it first time out. Haha
I sank my 2021 Bronco in a sinkhole last summer. I cleaned it off and ran it a few times just fine...then the ESC went up in smoke. An easy fix, which is what I expected to replace. The rest of the parts are just fine. Just beware. If that ESC gets drenched, it's going to pop sooner or later.
I can’t get my trx4 45kg upgrade servo to be straight. When I turn the wheels they stay turned and don’t line up. And when ever I put my foot beside the wheels and tried to turn the wheels but they didn’t move, but once I picked it up the wheels moved and then when I put the truck back down they don’t move, the servo makes the noise as if it’s turning but doesn’t. And then the wheels are just side to side and not lined up. Do you know how to fix that?
So, everything else was still stock when you tested the VXL-3S upgrade kit? Looks like I will have to buy another. I just VXL-3S upgraded my Stampede 4x4.
How do you program it to spin the right way for the trx 4 I want to buy it but I’m scared to because I don’t know how to program it to spin the right way and I don’t know what the shaft size is on the motor
This is a great video and excellent brushless conversion. I understand how the Motor and ESC are waterproof as is the reciever box but what about the lighting kit and those jxl plugs? I love the Bronco and almost brought the 1979 TRX 4 Ford Bronco and was also lusting over the 2021 TRX 4 Bronco in iconic silver too. Eventually i settled on the TRX 4 Ford F150 high trail metallic brown but swapped back to 1.9 wheels and 4.6 tyresfrom the Landrover Defender. They look much better and more scale realistic. Even though the major selling point to me was the high trail lift kit and that 1979 Ford F150 body but IMO the big 2.2 wheels and 5.3 tyres looked kind of silly. Plus i was worried about the stock servo burning up from them big tyres. I really would like a little more speed from mine though nothing outrageous. But i haven't taken it out on any rock gardens or any crawling courses yet. Ive only had thus truck a week.im in Australia and its somewhat difficult, actually a lot different sourcing parts for any brand RC cars over here. Usually a months long wait and completely different to America. And when they do arrive , man they get snapped up real fast. Great video mate. Hope you get you full light set back working too👌💪👍
So here’s the thing. You can accomplish this by a simple pinion change. Trx4 comes stock with a 10 tooth pinion. I swapped mine to a 15 tooth pinion, instantly doubled the speed in both first and second gear. Mine does wheelies etc. the only benefit I can see going to brushless would be a sealed motor in the mud and water.. other than that it’s pointless. $8 pinion swap
Did you do this through the traxxas upgrade program ? If you send traxxas your existing motor and esc , they will give you 50 % off a brand new motor and esc combo
Strip back the esc leads and solder in the lights leads without their plug just bare wire and then try and heatsink em tho that’s the issue 😳😎 thanks for sharing the show also he’s a ripper with the vxl inside 🤣
Hope you make vids again. This one convinced me to throw vxl in my trx4 and I could not stop enjoying it
Ok, i did not know that I needed a brushless mud truck. Thank you for enlightening me.
Everyone needs a brushless mud truck!

Cool, would like to see how it crawls. Thanks!!
Nice Mod and Excellent terrain to test on - Very Watchable... Would love to see some "slow" action as well. Great Vid as always.
She’s got some get up and go!
7:04 just a laugh of pure happieness i love to hear it

It works like this. The wire that goes to the receiver came loose and I didn’t know it at the time
Just so I understand, I just need the Maxx Link cable when I upgrade to a brushless system? From any brand?
@@PanMan223 exactly !
@@blownstang50 sweet! Thank you!
That is bad a$$! Can’t wait to see how the build progresses! Thing does wheeliez with eaze!
Cool RC and upgrade, nice run brother

Yes you do. The big one is awesome!
Awesome!
Why dontyou go withthe castle combo? You can still use the car to crawl using a sensored combo
I want to go with as much Traxxas as I can. I want to try to be featured on their social media.

Dude, is that just a forest surronding your house? That's freacking awesome!
Great video. Can you please share how were you able to resolve the tail light issue?
Absolutely awesome 😎
When it’s fast it’s fun to play with i with they made rc’s that can crawl and haul ass at the same time
you have so much fun. awesome 😂

Quedo muy bien 👍🏻 tu bronco saludos

It says it is. It’s been running fine since then

Low gear looks like a torky enough set up for trailing... And lift the front end , I'm in....
Got the motor and esc just don’t know what I wanna put it in?? Would like to see it crawl before I put it in the TRX. Bandit? Slash? Stampede?
Did you have to program it, I bought the same kit. And it won’t work
What do I think?! I think I will be doing the same!
Nice.
So, everything else was still stock when you tested the VXL-3S upgrade kit?

Nice one bro I enjoyed

how have all the gears held up with the power increase? how does it crawl now?
Was für ein ritzel brauche ich für das system 10 oder 15 zähne

how does it work in crawler? It would be great if you answered me and if it is compatible for my trx4 k10 cheyenee
I thought the stock motor is reverse rotation. Did you have to change anything with the brushless setup to make it go the right way?
What pinion are you useing
his is it crawling is it smooth ?
I just did my high trail and it is god awfully loud. Any ideas?
Never been a crawler guy….. but now i need to get one to throw my old slash 12t in it.
Nice
How did you fix the light issue ????

I cooked a 21t in my sport today and I like to keep things traxxas as I have extra lights…. This might be an idea
Nice video, did you know that the Bronco has a cruise control feature ?
Nope. How do I engage it?
Give throttle and push red button on top of radio. Brakes shuts it off. or give more throttle then let off it resumes setting.
Se le puede montar el kit de luces y las traxx
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT !!!!
You should really do a video where you take your king flings off your Traxxas Maxx and try them on the E-Revo 2.0??
I had thought about that. I think the E Revo will tear them apart honestly
Impressive but did you lose the abilty to use the locking differentials?
Nope
Did you do this through the traxxas upgrade program ? If you send traxxas your existing motor and esc , they will give you 50 % off a brand new motor and esc combo
Was any modifications needed with the transmission? Should we firm up the springs when doing this?
I didn’t change anything else
Congrats on the motor upgrade, but is the Prolite Kit waterproof? Are all jacks open?
hahahaha jeesus christ :) I just have to get that motor and esc :D awesome :) :)
how did you manage to make the light system work especially for the reverse lights?
Just use the maxx link cable in the receiver.
You should waterproof grease silicone
Saludos amigo
you've just made your self a bronco raptor
Strip back the esc leads and solder in the lights leads without their plug just bare wire and then try and heatsink em tho that’s the issue 😳😎 thanks for sharing the show also he’s a ripper with the vxl inside 🤣
That doesn’t work. I tried connecting them. It doesn’t matter though. That sensor is only for the turn signals.
Why would you want your Crawler to be that fast? It's a crawler, not a Traxxas Slasher.
pls helpme
RIP BRONCO😆
All those mods you showed us in the beginning of your video must cost a fortune.
Yeah. They did.
Kinda cool I guess but completely useless as a crawler now, crawlers need a sensored setup or it'll cog
I have two other crawlers. I wanted to do something different with this one.
Love your channel but with all due respect, why would you do such a thing to a crawler? Smh
Turning it into a big mud Truck. That’s why Traxxas made all the stuff to do it with like the lift kit.
