I love how enthusiastic the gallery is on almost every throw.
Hell yes! I've been waiting for this!!!! Great coverage, great tourney, great commentary. So excite!
On screen scores is super nice in my opinion, I like to relax while watching golf and being able to glance down at the score is great. I feel like a broken record making this comment all the time, who knows mabie that's too much work put in the coverage or something...
It takes a lot of work and the risk for human error is big. But it definitely is something that is standard for top quality production nowdays because it adds so much to the ease of watching.
@@DiscGolfFinland A good solution might be having the commentators say player scores after every hole.
a tip : watch movies at flixzone. Been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Demetrius Jaylen Yea, I've been watching on flixzone for since november myself :)
I used this video to explain to my girlfriend why we have to go to Finland. She still didn't fully understand, but these courses are remarkably beautiful.
If you ever do come here and are in Turku area, let me know. I'd be happy to take you out on some courses. There are plenty of them here.
Great camera work and commentary, guys and gal! Love the coverage, thanks for bringing us some beautiful disc golf!
Love the coverage and love the Oakley's on commentary!!!
Simon should be killing it. He doesn’t have the eye of the tiger. When he gets it there’s no stopping him.
thank you Oakleys for nice commentetor...so nice couples you are and see you next year in Oulu
Awesome video and course!
Appreciate the work you all put in to get this to us. Prosit.
Great coverage! Many thanks from Tennessee.
Great coverage and such a nice event overall. Can't wait the European Open in Nokia
When is that?
@@kanervatie 18.7 - 21.7
Good commentary, but, it would make an enormous difference in sound quality if you hung up some comforters or blankets or something in the commentary room.
Tattar sighting! 😍
With a gallery that large, the only putt I consider a “gimme” is one I can place in the basket!
In order to be a part of the Discmania Pro Team do you need to be over 6'2" and lanky?
oakleys only like 5"9
@@justinross9660 must be why he throws for Dynamic and not Discmania
oh yeah your correct, for some reason I though u said Dynamic Disc lol
Yeah Eagle and Simon are giants, I saw them in person this year at the Memorial and im like 6ft even yet they looked like they were several inches taller
Tee off music is super loud, can't hear Eric or Tina. Thanks for videoing thumbs up!
Love the Oakley’s on commentary
i was just thinking i wish the last round would be uploaded and there it is 👍

Cool tourney, great coverage. But the more important reason I'm commenting is to ask Tina if she played at a course called Angry Apple last year, probably the same weekend as the RFDO. I may have met you in passing there!
You should use a mastering program for the volumes, or try to level them out more manually, the announcers voice just blew my head off! Just a little constructive criticism.
You must not be able to tell how loud it is in the video while you're commentating or something because when they teed off the first time I could hardly hear you at all because of their intro. music. Level out the sound somehow? Anyway, thanks for the coverage.
I agree with Eric’s wife that hole 5 was a backhand hole. Slope and rough completely said BH hole to me.... And I’m a sidearm player. Listen to your wife Eric, lol
Both sidearm throws was much worse than backhand so clearly would be better to go for BH.
Great broadcasting guys, thanks! Any idea: what is the song/tune played during Eric's opening drive in the beginning of the clip?
"Elevate" by St. Lucia
Much appreciated
I have a suggestion for info graphics:
I think at the very least, we need to see:
1. The name and location of the course, which link is being played, its par and distance in feet and meters, should all be on the screen at all times.
2. For each shot, a graphic of which player is about to throw, their sponsor, and which number shot they're throwing.
Those are the basics.
Bonus graphics:
Speed of the drives.
Leader-board between links.
I can't remember which video company does it, but they showed a map of each link after the players were done, showing their throws laid out over the map.
I think the most interesting addition to any video, and NO ONE is doing it, would be putting a mic or three in the gallery.
I think the gallery responses, especially with one as amazing as this tournament produced would bring a whole new level of entertainment to the sport and to your videos.
Great video!
Happy July 4th Muricans!
Lizotte’s walk out music?
What was Simon's tee off song? German rap song perhaps?
Eric's drive on 9!!!
Great coverage! Just add a few replays or slow motion shots in there and I'll be watching them all.
The replays are at the end of every hole.
what is the music playing from the start till the walk out music? it's so good and I swear I've heard it before. Air? Zero 7? Digby Jones? Please help!
It's a track we have licensed from epidemic sound :)

Hole 5 Eric learned about the ol' contradicting wife thing where for some she felt he needed corrected in public and then won't drop it! I've been dealing with it for almost 20 years, Eric. Get used to it! BTW, sidearm was the right throw!
Why doesn't anybody use 2001: A Space Odyssey Theme song for their tee off music??
You mean " Also sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss?
@@batschi12 perhaps a live Phish performance circa 98 or so... : )
That would be an awesome choice.
Eric "the wind" Oakley. Flags and trees, no wind. lol
Is the video a little Skippy for anyone else or is my connection just garbage?
Must be garbage.
Those people with their boats on hole 3 lol
Me thinks the Oakleys had a safety meeting pre commentary ;)~
Pretty sure Eagle's disc hit a spotter lol
good
Yall need scores at the bottom
Love the commentary from Tina! I think Jomez would benefit from a female competitor on men’s lead card coverage every once in awhile, and the other way around for women’s lead card.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
i am so bad at disc golf
Oakley's got some junk in the trunk.
Eagle's music....eesh.
Did Oakley spray paint those pants on💁
I said during the last round that there is nothing more beautiful in disc golf than Simon when he is in the zone.
And there is nothing sadder than when he blows it.
Does he get polluted [drunk] on Saturday nights?
Does he have insomnia?
What is it, buddy?
I always root for Simon and he always breaks my heart.
Sorry scoreboardman, but NOBODY can see your scores. Thicker welleda please.
these commentators could not have less chemistry
Uh.. they're married. Whole chemistry set goin on there. lol
@@OneHippiesMusings it actually makes more sense to me now
kb ok? Savage
I think living the Van Life with Debbie Downer is getting a little cramped. Bwa-Wahhhhh.
203m is 666ft. 102m is 333ft....
being a simon fan is getting more and more frustrating...you follow through on all the lead card vids (as long as he does´t collapse on an earlier round) and then....throwing the tournament away within 2 holes...losing 3 to eagle...again and again the same story...on hole 2 when he has the branch at his head...I immediately saw by his stance...he will f*** it up...why is there no sports psyche caddy with him immediately stopping the approach...teaching him a simple routine to follow through again and again and again...I don´t get it. And analyzing when he chooses high/low risk shots is a absolute mess...why is nobody there to stabilize this chaos...Oakley gets the perfect caddy and he outplays Simon with EASE...imagine what could be done with Simon in the same way....
As a Simon fan this has to be the nadir. Why root for a guy who's
an absolute certainty to sabotage himself? It's unfortunate.
@@zenbabaloo1931 He´s german...I´m german...I played with him in a german tournament many years ago...of course I root for the guy....but you are very precise with your wording...self sabotage nails it.
The bummer part is that even though there's a lot of interesting
characters in the game he brings something different to it. Call
it star power or whatever, he's got it.
@@zenbabaloo1931 Being that nice of a guy can´t be pretended...I think that´s why people are naturally drawn to him...but his talent/distance/options does not reflect his scores...I think he´s missing the killer instinct...look at Paul...boring as hell...but man...when crunch time arrives...he will turn IT UP...I don´t think Paul is more talented than Simon...but works way harder...and Eagle has evolved into this machine......not a killer...but such a stable mindset that his consistency carries him...
Yeah, Paul's a killer. I dunno about boring. He's friendly and
always up for a game it seems. Oddly enough, Paul threw
away a tournament last week too. Rare for him. Hopefully
Simon will do better in the second half of the year. He's got
game for days. The sport needs Simon to make lots of lead
cards and win 1 or 2 tournaments a year. Basically, what
he's been doing every year.
On the commentary....less is more.
Way too much information, and mostly unnecessary information.
Dont call your husband baby, its emasculating.
