- Hey folks, thanks for tuning in as always!
This was one of my picks for our favorite foodtubers, and a long standing favorite at that. The spotlight today is on Chinese Cooking Demystified and this is most definitely my most made dish from them, or possibly any youtuber!
What I like most about Chinese Cooking Demystified is that the videos are clear and precise, and explain every step super well, and often give their advice for viewers abroad who maybe cant find certain ingredients, letting you know when to substitute and when to leave it out.

Hey man! I really like your content and your channel. I've learned a lot recently and have been binging all the videos. I have a strong suggestion: your content is really top-notch, but often, your audio quality is not up to par. You have such expensive knives. Could you please consider investing in a good mic (e.g. RODE Wireless Go 2) and then mounting the microphone as close as possible to your mouth? :D That would significantly improve the overall quality. Keep up the great work!
We're using a DJI Wireless right now, we just hung it a little low to try to get a happy in between of ASMR are dialogue but well pull it back up next time! But thanks for the feedback, we're constantly learning and working on it!

Does the broad bean paste contain flavor enhancers or preservatives? Can't find any w/o around here
The one we used was the only one available to us locally, and luckily was the same one recommended by Chinese Cooking Demystified. If by flavor enhancers you mean MSG it doesn't however it does contain potassium sorbate.
What's the purpose of salting the cooking water?
We salt the water to help season the tofu!
