Enjoyed your video, love the 110 and the 112 also. I was born in 64 so I grew up up in the 70’s early 80’s and yes 110 and 112 was on everybody hip back then Bo and Luke too. It’s still THE lockback 👍
I have one a friend gave me in the mid to late 70’s I’m 69 years old and have field dressed close to a 100 deer plus small game. I’ll use it as long as I’m kicking !!around !!
I’m 31 and I have many buck 110’s I have a 2 dot and a modern 110 and even a 110 auto but my prized possession 110 is the one that was bought the year I was born and is as old as me! Thank you for this video can’t wait to see your war time 110 video.
Cool you got to visit with that old time Buck employee. I have 3 buck 110 knives. Always my goto hunting knife since I was a kid. I still rotate my 110 in my daily carry. Have a great day. 🇺🇲🔪🌲🔥
The knife that started it all. Buck 110 was and is the most nostalgic knives of our time. Regardless of what type knife ya like or what kind everybody knows about the Buck 110. I had a buck a couple times and let them go but when you dont have one it starts to work on your mind on just how good of a mnife it really is. Yeah there is a lot more choices but I appreciate seeing reviews on it still today. So thank you sir for an honest overlook of the Buck 110. There customer service i great and i grew up in the 80's as well and loved trick bikes so I really enjoyed the memories buddy.
Strap on your buck 110 and climb on your BMX bike and go for another adventure with a slingshot and some firecrackers in your pocket and the lighter you stole from your dad LOL
The 110 is a must have. It was the knife anybody that was anybody either carried or wanted to carry back in the 80’s. Thanks for sharing a treasure of a knife. Brian Yellowhorse makes some amazing examples no doubt. Thanks again.
Enjoyed listening to your stories, and ramblings:) Got my first 110 when I was 8 or 9 years old, it was a 78 model 2 dot. I remember carrying it to school in 4th and 5th grade, no issues. I carried it off and on up til about 10 years ago when I started to fear losing it, so I bought a new one in 2016 and put my retired 2 dot in my safe. Unfortunately , as you mention, the sheath just rides too high on the new one and is very uncomfortable. I just couldn't get used to it digging into my side and i don't even have a large mid section. Why Buck started making the sheath like this is beyond me, and I hear people complain about it all the time. I guess the only people that complain about it are the ones like us that have experienced the old style sheath. I have since purchased another 2 dot on eBay to solve that problem . Also, I think the boxier 2dots feel better to me and fill the hand better, the rounded 110's are comfortable, but feel a bit narrow to me and less secure in the hand. I think they started making it with belt loop that rides higher and rounding the edges on the knife in the 1980's. All of the the Buck 110 and 112 are all time American classics that everyone should carry, but can't beat a classic 2 dot. Good to hear you found folks that still carry these. Chris
Well Chris if you got a little extra on the sides like I have it kind of jobs you I like the old style and of course I like that they were made in the US but things are changing and I'll change again when we go to war with China I guess
Hah, just like hearing my self talking., subbed of course. The Buck 110 was the knife you wanted when I was a kid, I own a few of them. For actual using you don't need a other knife., I'm 60.
I have a 86 model that has been whittled down pretty good that I found in a ol tackle box. I need to send it in and get a new blade. Will they date the blade? It’s been beat to crap but still works well. I think I might just go ahead and get it a spa and new blade. Thanks for the video
I was told they will not date the blade they certainly did not for mine but that's okay it's a great blade the main guy that did all this retired but I know they have some other people I hope they are just as good
Great 110 story! Saw my first in 1974 and its been my favorite knife ever since.
Love the video! And the Dukes, of course.
Bo and Luke Duke and especially Daisy Duke.... oh boy Daisy Duke
