Thank you so much for creating this video!!! 5 years ago I first watched this video, I discovered what nowadays is my favourite band (Oh Wonder) and I set myself the target of coming to Taiwan. Nowadays I'm happily living the dream in Taipei. Again, thank you so much for your awesome job!! Taipei is just as amazing as you show it in your timelapse!!!
Hi Kyle. I would love to use some of your great footage (couple of seconds) for the website of our agency located in Zurich, Shanghai and Taipei. Please leave me a message if you'd like. Thanks!
2:38 this is a trademark of Taiwan: they keep these temples as new, and they are EVERYWHERE. In the mainland, they don't have the same appreciation for traditional culture as Taiwanese do. I have never been to both places, but I have some close friends who have been there, so I asked them which place is the best, and Taiwan won. I must visit this country before the mainland tries to conquer it by force.
This video is amazing. I want to move to Taipei so badly. I live in Kuala Lumpur, and prior to here I've lived in Zaragoza, London, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Johannesburg, Detroit, Melbourne, and Tokyo. My father is looking at moving somewhere else and I want so bad to move to Taipei. Can someone tell me about life in Taipei?
I am a Taiwanese. I live in new Taipei City next to Taipei City. The price of Taipei may be higher than that of other parts of Taiwan. The price is also very expensive. I still hope that you can come to Taiwan to play. You can consider living in "New Taipei City". #googletranslation
@@HugoRBLX latin america is all garbage, shitholes, big countries like mine (Brazil) doomed by corruption and a population with a very poor understanding of reality. At least we elected someone capable, while Venezuela is falling apart and Argentina is essentially broken due to the previous presidents. By your conclusions, Brazil also is horribly homogenous and has NO CULTURE at all. A Taiwanese immigrant would find nothing about its culture in my city( a 1 million+ pop.)! Maybe it helped Taiwan in holding traditional chinese culture instead of being built by immigrants.
@@kotodamamidnight412 quite romanticized view, but, sure, Taipei is an awesome city as the country. I would interview people from the lowest and medium incomes to see how happy they are actually.
I don't know if you're a pro or simply very talented (or maybe both!) but this is purely awesome. You deal perfectly with the light and the colors. I was in Taipei for months and this is exactly how it looks like. (except on the CKS memorial hall where it looks a bit unreal) BTW the music suits very well too. Thank you!
Beautiful beautiful video, Kyle! I do this myself whenever I am in Taiwan, and alot of those spots are my absolute favourites aswell! I am like many others also curious about what equipment and (motorized sliders?) you used to do it. Stunning!
+Zarch Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it! No sliders were used....I used a photography tool called hyperlapse. All you need is a camera, tripod, and an intervalometer.
Kyle Door Thanks for the response :-) In the meantime since I commented I have been digging into the amazing world of hyperlapse, so I believe, I will be coming out with something in this category sooner or later aswell :-)
