HURDCO ANNUAL CULTURAL PROGRAMME 2019
Annual Cultural Programme 2019 of HURDCO International School was held on Saturday, 23 February 2019 paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the language movement. The event was a success due to the spontaneous participation of the students from Pre-school, Middle and High School, supported by the commendable efforts of the teachers.
It was a great honor to have Mr. Ali Imam, Children’s Writer and Audio-visual Organizer and Former General Manager of Bangladesh Television, as the Chief Guest of the ceremony. The programme was also graced by the presence of Mr. Mohammed Solaiman, Chairman of the School Management Committee, Mr. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Development Committee, Mr. S.M. Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director and other Directors of HURDCO Limited.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. M. Jinnat Ali, Principal of the school, expressing his utmost gratitude towards the participating students, parents and the teachers and non teaching staff for all their contributions in making this program possible. This was followed by a speech from the Chief Guest, Mr. Ali Imam, where he highly appreciated the performance of the students and was impressed by their intense interest and knowledge on the Liberation War.
The Special Guest, Mr. Mohammed Solaiman also appreciated the arrangements made by the school team and expressed his gratefulness towards the Chief Guest for being part of HURDCO for a day.
The bits and pieces of the event ranged from a rich drama, enclosing songs, dance performance, recitation and a lot more.
In the final speech, therefore, the Vice Principal, Mr. Jahanagir Alam, cordially thanked the Chief Guest and Special Guest and applauded for the participation of the students in putting up such a great show and also recognized the support of the parents behind the scene.
