I think when I transfer im going to spend my first year in a dorm and second year in an apartment. I need to know what all this dorm life that I have been missing out on is all about LOL (plus i think living in a dorm is a lil more social???)

Nice! A lot of students do this. But keep in mind that living in a dorm is not inherently more social. You might be exposed to a higher volume of people in a dorm, but at the end of the day it is up to you to take the initiative to strike up a conversation!

Do you regret staying in the dorms at UCLA? Also do you think it is good for transfer students to stay in a dorm before they decided to go live off campus? In order to meet people to maybe be potential roommates with or learn the different areas on campus better?

I don't regret living in the dorms. Whether or not you live there should definitely be your own personal choice. The thing is that if you want to meet people, you can do that regardless of living in the dorms or not. There are opportunities to meet people everywhere, you just have to take advantage of them.

Hi! :) So would you say off campus rent plus all the utilities and fees is still cheaper than on campus?

Does UCLA cover utility bills if we live in the uni apartments?

Can you really only live on campus one year if you are a transfer?

I usually love your videos hailey, but I feel like this particular video is too subjective. It feels like a complaining video which does not match the title. However, i still love your content.

Hi Andre, thanks for your feedback. The purpose of my channel is to share my experience, and I always strive for transparency. I share the general and supplement with my opinion. That’s the model for the majority of my videos. If you are looking for an unbiased opinion, this is not the channel for that. Too many videos on UA-cam romanticize the college experience or hold back on important details. I think what people find refreshing about my channel is the fact that I speak my mind. If something disturbs my lifestyle or my ability to study, then it’s worth mentioning to other students so that they know what they are potentially getting into. That’s exactly my intention for sharing how I feel about UCLA dining halls, campus housing policies, etc. That might include complaining about things that bother me, which I feel is justified since I pay so much to go to school here. Not everyone is going to agree with me and that’s their prerogative. I hope you can understand where I am coming from.
