Living in Canada where everything at stores is marvel , star wars, gi joe, transformers, motu (which I do love) it's awesome to see toys you never see, I love Japanese robots! Thanks for posting this, when you convert yen to usd or cad are prices pretty reasonable compared to a marvel legends figure at retail?
Pretty much everything in this store is $100-$1,000+ 😬 Except for some of the smaller sofubi. But for something like a Marvel Legends figure here, they cost around ¥3,000-¥4,000 depending (roughly $30-$40).
LOL, half of them i don't know who they are. But i'm really surprised with the quality of the toys, definitely museum-quality. I also remember 2 non-mandarake nakano shops there that doesn't allow photos or videos, so i took some secretly.
Yeah, Hen-Ya is basically a museum where all the exhibits are for sale. I've show it briefly in a couple of my old toy hunting videos, but with music or lots of talking over it, and a lower quality camera. This time I wanted to give the full audio-visual experience. And yeah, a lot of the independently owned shops don't allow photos or videos... actually one of the shop owners that doesn't allow video footage in his shop (Bow-Wow) can briefly be seen @ 12:33 asking a Mandarake to open a showcase for him. It's common for other shops to buy rare lower-priced stuff from Mandarake to re-sell in their own shops for more.
