Nice review. We finally got a powerful programmer that's also cheap.
Great video thank you Kind Sir.
I have one of those programmers and I like it. It programs microcontrollers, EPROMs and EEPROMs and tests RAMs as well as logic chips from the 74xx and 40xx families.
Hi, how do you use this product to test the 40xx and 74xx series chips? Thanks for your kind help
OK, glad you got it sorted.
Since this video was in 2012 I was wondering for the same price or less is there anything better?
Taking assembly / microcontrollers to, and need to buy this for school, but I didn't know this thing could do that many ICs! My god how cool! The 'R' button I imagine you can read the ICs too? I.E. read a mask ROM from an old arcade game, back it up, and program it into an EPROM so you have something to replace it with? (If the board is compatible with EPROM, same pinout). There's even an 'in-circuit" programmer, gonna go down to the PC bone yard and pick up a bunch of dead motherboards for $1 each, maybe some are just bad BIOS 'flashes' (froze or power outage during programming). What seller did you buy it from in China, and how long did it take to get there?
So If I use the "PIC C" to generate the HEX and then use this TL866 to load the hex would that work? :o
Awesome good educated
Hello, Trevs thanks for making the video. For a noob what book or site would you use to learn programming pic micro controllers and language for them?
There are loads of books and sites.

@@Trevs-Shed Thanks for the site link and the reply, I appreciate it.
Hi! Can you please help me, how do I know what chip brand do I go to? Chip S93C66 but can't identify what brand to select in program
I've bought this programmer. Now I have the need to read & program a 16L8 PAL. Do you have any idea if it is possible using this programmer? If so, can you be so kind to show me how. Thanks
nice video! I have a question : If you have a faulty chip can you still read the programming off of it and re-install on a new chip?
No, not normally. If it's faulty that's that. There are some tricks you can try like freezing the chip and trying to read it.
Trevor Matthews Thank-you for the reply, I thought you might say that .... but will give the freezing a go .....TY

I need the file for an ACer Iconia w3-810(winbond 25x40clnig) where can i get it? I have the bios update file
Please help me, I have problem with the adapter PLCC44 to DIP40
I do not read the chip.
Hi,
Could you tell me how I would read, copy and write information from a DS2431 EEPROM and put another blank ds2431 eeprom?
Hi Trev.. does the kit come with an adapter for a PLCC84 chip ? Are You able to copy a Hitachi HD6473388CP10 and manually change HEX values ?
Sorry. The seller is not on eBay any more, to my knowledge. This video is 6 years old and I no longer have or use the equipment. Look up the IC in the current devices supported list. I have no idea about the adapter.
can this device program chip 93C56 and or 95020? these are cluster eeprom chips?

Can you please try to program a plcc32 eeprom/flash chip (29F010, SST39SF010 or equivalent)? I'm having problems with that since there seems to be an address line stuck (reads, erases in 800h sized blocks that are alternating fine and filled with FF. The first 800h sized block is corrupt already and programming stops at the first check. Programming/reading a 27C256 -old skool- eprom that uses that address line also works fine though.
I also got my TL866 today. The .chm-file you linked to does not seem to work on my computer (Win 7) and I have so far only found chinese help files...
Atmega128A can be read with the help of TL866ii but error is coming while writing, please help me
Hey i found very useful your video so thanks!
I purchased a MiniPro TL866A and I'm trying to find some drivers for programming more devices. That programmer supports 16v8 GAL but I need the 22v10 programmer device one. Could anyone help me out to get the drivers?
Thanks!
hi can I use this for ic 12c5612 read and write operations?
Buenas. Necesito ayuda para quitar el password del Bios a una AcerIconia w310, requiere reprogramacion del chip eeprom
which forum i can download dump file, my means bios file.
can you use ponyprog instead of it's software?
i am new to the field and use the same programmer. I'm trying to load 93c66 and it's saying: ERROR! CODE Address: 0x000000 Buf_Val:0x71 IC_Val:0x06 have you been through this? do you know how to solve?
Please help me, I have a mini pro Model: 866cs
With the mini pro software V5.91
Not appear the option: Erase before, and before of programing protect
thank you
hello, please where is the link to the forum?
How do I extract the binary file from an eeprom chip?
works ok for me programming all the eproms i tried
note the plcc 44pin to 40pin adapter is not correct for plcc eproms
i tried
27256 nmos 27c256 several makers cmos
also 512 c512 and and 27C010 several makers and refresh
all reported fine
you need touncheck the check device id box on the bottom left
i do have also issues with missing menus
i informed the company and they are looking into the issue
i use xp sp3 so perhaps there is cross o/s issues
fingers crossed they will fix it
I doubt it and why would you want to?
i got one this week been brilliant got all adapters .i also got gq-4x4 paid 100 quid its crap no where near what supports
sear how can we find all car immobilizer and ECU software?
Hi, Where I can get binary file for this please (winbond-25032bvsig). thanks
Any way to do a byte swap function?
+Jake “Zebular” F Which bytes do you want to swap - and why?
Is it data or program ?
sir can you send drivers of top 2007 universal programmer
Can you extract the existing data on the chip and save it on your computer (and edit it later)?
Yes. If you want to, you can define a "block" (which can be the entire buffer contents) and then save to txt format which gives you lines of hexadecimal codes to do whatever you wish with.
You can also save to Intel HEX format if you want to load it to a compatible program.
rapidfire mediashare? original website not profide software and manual. they are. unless these files added spyware
Mine is giving an error when i programming PIC16F877A for led flash program. the error is Buf_Val:0x4A IC_Val:0x7a. Can you tel me what is the problem
I can tell you what that means. It means that the programmer tried to write hexadecimal 4A to a memory location but when it verified the write to that location, it got back hexadecimal 7A instead.
This most likely means that the Code Protect bit in your PIC has been set, making it impossible to make any changes to the code in the chip. It could also mean a dud chip but that's less likely.
"location in scoket"?
please help me..
i can't burn my eeprom...
i use g540 programmer...
is it necessary that we hear every mouse click ?
other than that.. good video thank you
excuse me bro. but how to re-program DIP-8 using this.
im about to re-program BIOS CHIP of my asus P5G41T- M LX and ASROCK G41M- VS3 using device CH341A EEPROM Programming.
but all i find out is The EEPROM CH341A cannnot using .ROM file. BUT it should use .BIN files.
but the official website using .ROM files. how can i do about that ?
I don't know the answer off-hand, but the first thing I'd do is to enter some random data into the buffer (the software has a function to allow you to do this automatically) then save the file in BIN format. Then I'd load the BIN file into something like Notepad and load a ROM file into Notepad too and compare them to see if they look similar. It's quite possible that they're actually the same format and you might be able to tell by comparing the file contents.
The next thing I'd try would be a search online for information on the file formats. You may be able to find a program which converts file formats if they aren't the same as BIN.
hi jason i new to this stuff you seem to be clued up on this can you do video on hex editor ,finding pin codes for epprom dumps
Thanks a lot. What can I do if the ic is not in the list?
Find a similar IC on the list that you can try, contact the vendor to see if the IC can be added or simply look for a different programmer.
What is the real utility of this device ?Perhaps to program emtpy chip and or to reprogram them!?
Both. Also to program microcontrollers and to test RAMs and logic ICs.
can i use this to flash the bios password hp probook
Hey wht music is that?
over 39 thousand views? That's pretty interesting in itself isn't it?... on a single web site, a single tutorial, on a single piece of highly specialized technology, was sought out by nearly 40,000 people?! Wow. That means there are tens of thousands of people out there, burning their own counterfeit devices... whether that's car proms, BIOS, PIC pirating, encoders, etc... let's face it, a simple burner would handle both prototyping and productions, but this allows you to both read and write, from stored records... that's a lot more than 'essential', that's an entire cottage industry! Amazing.
yeah, i also recall seeing a webpage about another programmer that got an unusual amount of views and the author commented in it much like you did. For such a high demand, you'd expect programmers like this to be cheaper and easier to get. Weird.
can i know how to burn pic16f877a
ERROR! CONFIG 0x00000 Buf_Val 0x4A IC_Val 0x7A help my
Great only one problem Windows ONLY support. That's crap.
as I find the files you want to burn bios chip
Can you program isd chips with this programmer ?
Sorry. No idea what an isd chip is......
Trevs Shed it’s a voice playback and record chip they have them on digikey website
ok, my fault - I have to properties->unblock first...
