- Changing the tail pipes on my 2007 Porsche 997/3.6 proved to much more exciting than originally anticipated! The 3.8 vs 3.6 have different exhaust pipe diameters. If you decided to do this modification, buy the adapter.

Sorry this happened to y'all.. I too wanted to replace my 3.6 tips to 3.8,, after a ton of research, and learning that the 3.8 tips won't fit 3.6 mufflers, I opted to just eBay some 3.8 mufflers, with the tips still on them. They are a direct bolt on and look great.. They sound good, but just recently did the exhaust bypass mod and now I love them.. The 3.6 really screams a different tune than the 3.8. Nice vid.. Enjoy the ride!

Great job. I learned something new today. Question: does your car have a spare tire? If not, it would be a good segment to make a video on.
No, ours doesn't have a spare tire smh. It does have an air pump in it and I think a fix a flat type substance, but I keep a simple repair kit with me (tire plug) so I can do my own emergency repair if need be.
$70 is cheap, in the UK, they're £60 EACH! So I guess like $150 the pair. I've just been through this whole process, and its a pita!

Nice! Yeah I was totally underprepared for the difficulty of this simple modification. I would definitely say it was my 2nd favorite mod on my 997.
nothing can ever be too easy haha...reminds me of something I would do...buy a part, get excited to put on and then find out it doesnt fit and brings all your glory and day to a halt. That's why I am afraid to buy those ebay ones int he link below.
Yeah that’s how mods go some times. We hope its plug and play but most of the time its adapt and over come lmao!
The 3.8 sound is so much better with a low end growl and torque feels much better but when I added 120hp to my S4 with a very cheap software tune the 997 4s fees slow.
the 3.8 has a much better intake system with a resonator.

Which Rims to you have TheSource? I have the stock 5 fingers on my 997 and wanted to switch them out for the S 15 finger.
