- Simplifying my wardrobe is one of the most effective changes I’ve made in my life.
Over the last five years, I have been experimenting with building my ultimate uniform/capsule wardrobe.
The core values are durability, aesthetics and efficiency.
To put it simply my clothing has to look good and last hundreds of wears.
To keep track of my clothes, I use STYLE BOOK, it easily calculates my cost per wear.
Using this method, I know exactly how much value I extract out of every garment I own.
This is a stark departure from my previous method of buying clothes, putting it in my closet and letting them collect dust for years.
Using this method clearly shows me how much I have spent on my wardrobe and where my money is being used effectively.
My overall goal is to create a low cost, simple, timeless wardrobe that can carry me into my older years.
Own less, spend less and look great doing it.

Totally agree! As I near the age of 50 I am understanding more and more that I need to adopt wearing a “uniform”. Paying attention to quality, how complimentary the fit is and comfort. Making my son watch this now! Great video!

i love it when i get full use and my moneys worth on clothes. I once had a pair of khakis, beat that thing up til it started ripping. Iron patches on them to repair holes and eventually cut them into a pair of shorts. And then one day my ex moved in with me and those ugly shorts magically disappeared. lmao. I'd still wear it til this day.
