  • I finished up my 6th season of BFL's here on Lake Murray, South Carolina. This was a tough one on me. I found the bite to be very difficult on tournament day and the ones I did catch flat out came off. Just a tough event for me. Thanks for following me this year and I can't wait to get back out there.

    Man your day is coming. Keep your head in the game even when you lose the big un and shake it off. Wait for the next BOOM SHAKALAKA!!!! It will always come. My dad would always tell me when I lost a big one, you’ll remember it until you lose the next big one and they’ll always be another big one lost until you give it up. Keep doing what you do to minimize those chances and when it’s your time it will come! Thanks for sharing!

    First off thanks for sharing this season with us it was awesome to watch. Thanks again for all your hard work put into the videos and your fishing experience every tournament. Sharing the highs and lows keeping it real no bull that's what's up. We all miss fish it sucks agree with everything you said sometimes hard to let go. Had club championship this weekend one day on lake gaston second day on bug's Island. Had 3 big one's come off first day and only had 3 fish second day was tuff out there but had some fun. You should for sure fish that open at bug's that time off year they will be biting for sure fish there all the time. I'm going to as a co angler if all works out . Thanks again for another great video can't wait to see what's going to happen next season. You the man. Late.

    Don't. give up ur confidence. Get a net. and concentrate on your down falls. You are going to do big things. Fix what you know is wrong!!! If ur competitors can catch em, so can you. Will you fish the ABA this winter? Keep catching em on tight lines. Great video footage.

    Phil here, the first thing I always question is my lure color. Then I move on to lure type. About to hit the Trout area in a couple of hours. It's 37° here with blistering North Winds.

    Good video man. Yes I've had to learn to have a short memory and keep that memory in its place. For 25 years and I'll admit there is one or two memories even I can't shake. But good to see you catch fish and my last derby is the Saturday so my time to see what shakes out. I'm going to hit you up on FB. Let's talk fishing sometime. Good luck next time on the water.....

    I watched the whole thing on my TV. Tough couple days man. This is why I stopped Tournament Fishing a long time ago. I just felt it took the enjoyment out of fishing for me. If you have a bad day you got to keep pushing and pushing and when I wasn't Tournament Fishing if I had a bad day I could think of it in a different way. That being , hey it was a great day fishing even though I didn't catch any, was wonderful weather, enjoyed company of a friend, got home safe, Etc.
    Anyway I've enjoyed watching your show. Because of health reasons my boat's been sitting in the garage for a long time. And because of that I am not going to be watching fishing shows anymore. It just feels like that proverbial carrot dangling in front of me that I can never reach again. I guess I've got to hang up my Spurs or in this case my rods, and hope this cancer gets better maybe I'll be fishing March I don't know. Good luck God bless. I might tune back in next year. P.S. I'm close to Gaston and have never fished Kerr but thank you for the information regarding Herring Lakes. I'm learning that these bass have almost become pelagic like saltwater Mahi and are very difficult to pattern from one day to the next.

      I’m sorry to hear about your health condition. I hope you can get back on your feet and on the front deck of that boat this spring. I appreciate the kind words and maybe I’ll see you on Gaston sometime. 👍🏻

    May I ask a question, why do you always go to the back of the boat to land your fish. I always used the trolling motor to put me in position to land fish.

    • @JeffreyDavisFishing
      @JeffreyDavisFishing  Рік тому +1

      Usually I just let the fish run and they naturally run to the back. But also it’s actually easier to land them by hand at the back because the back of the boat is close to the water line.

    You’ll rebound from that. What mount are you using for your forward facing Sonar?

    would've got the 2nd one if you weren't trying to prove something by not having a net

  • @BassboatJoe
    @BassboatJoe Рік тому

    I get why you don’t use a net, but man, you are a great fisherman but you got to catch them before you make it pro! Use the net while you can, every fish counts, once you make it pro, you will be thankful because the net helped you make it to the pros. Once you make it, then worry about landing them without a net. But you got to make it pro first…. USE A DA** NET!!!!! LOL
