roger is very over rated when u look at his gs match losses to nadal/djoki. He won 33% mEAning 1 out of 3 tries!! Played them 14 times in GS finals and only won 4 times..that is a flunking grade when u don't dominate ur rivals and they domimate you.. Sure, he had lots of success with B players where he won 50% of his tiltes 250/500 circuit..I could on and on but his sqaush game was sold to armchair players who gobbled it up..Hi smental game is the weakest of the 2 he has choked way more than nadal/djoki combined and by a lot..3 times aganst djoki at wimbledon finals and fed has the crowds onhis side too

Right now in the tennis world, things are not looking so good as a fed fan. Djokovic and Nadal are dominating the sport despite the valiant efforts made by NextGen to stop them. It's been tough lately as Nadal has equaled Federer's grandslam record and djokovic seeming to look unbeatable at the moment. Right now, I cannot find the light at the end of the tunnel. Djokovic can only WISH he could be the champion, the TRUE champion, that Federer is. No matter what he does, he will NEVER be the kind of champion of the sport that Fed is. Federer = GOAT
GOAT is not measurable. Everyone has their GOAT. And to the majority of tennis fans, Federer will always be the favorite (call it FOAT or GOAT--no difference), and that will not change. Not trying to take away from Nadal, nor from Djokovic's greatness. Both are awesome--all three are awesome, but what Federer can do with a racket, nobody even comes close. And regarding H2H, it only makes sense that both Djokovic and Nadal have a greater H2H because they are about 5 years older than Roger. The fact that Federer dominated Nadal in the last 5 years outside of clay, is also relevant, and that Federer was able to defeat Djokovic and keep up with him, when he was 37, 38 years old, is something extraordinary. I really doubt we will see another player with the skill set of Federer.
What exactly can Federer do that nobody else comes close? Serve? Well there are better servers out there, Isner, Karlovic, Sampras and Ivanesevic in the past. Zverev and Opelka right now. Forehand? Yep it's up there definitely one of the best, but there are several forehands which are very close to his. Return? Well, he is great at picking returns and landing them but is he has effective as Murray, Djokovic or even Ferrer with the return? How about BH? Well his BH is a glaring weakness which Djokovic in particular has exposed over many years now. His BH was abused by Nadal on clay. Net play perhaps? Well his net game is perhaps the best of this generation but not close to that of those in the 70s and 80s who lived up there at the net. So the question is, what exactly is this skill set? If this skill set is so formidable then why did he start to get beaten by his 2 arch rivals when he was 25-29? Unless you're telling us like every other Federer fan that he was old before hittng 30.

I think the only player who can beat Roger at his own game is Rafa. However, Nole has learned quickly that he can’t beat either of them by playing their game. But he can through defensive play. At the end of the day, despite titles and weeks at number 1, we all decide who defines being the GOAT.

GOAT is not measurable. Everyone has their GOAT. And to the majority of tennis fans, Federer will always be the favorite (call it FOAT or GOAT--no difference), and that will not change. Not trying to take away from Nadal, nor from Djokovic's greatness. Both are awesome--all three are awesome, but what Federer can do with a racket, nobody even comes close. And regarding H2H, it only makes sense that both Djokovic and Nadal have a greater H2H because they are about 5 years older than Roger. The fact that Federer dominated Nadal in the last 5 years outside of clay, is also relevant, and that Federer was able to defeat Djokovic and keep up with him, when he was 37, 38 years old, is something extraordinary. I really doubt we will see another player with the skill set of Federer.
What exactly can Federer do that nobody else comes close? Serve? Well there are better servers out there, Isner, Karlovic, Sampras and Ivanesevic in the past. Zverev and Opelka right now. Forehand? Yep it's up there definitely one of the best, but there are several forehands which are very close to his. Return? Well, he is great at picking returns and landing them but is he has effective as Murray, Djokovic or even Ferrer with the return? How about BH? Well his BH is a glaring weakness which Djokovic in particular has exposed over many years now. His BH was abused by Nadal on clay. Net play perhaps? Well his net game is perhaps the best of this generation but not close to that of those in the 70s and 80s who lived up there at the net.
So the question is, what exactly is this skill set? If this skill set is so formidable then why did he start to get beaten by his 2 arch rivals when he was 25-29? Unless you're telling us like every other Federer fan that he was old before hittng 30.
