It's definitely more expensive, although there are factors that make it more expensive. Your dorm includes a small kitchen, a living room, private bathroom, meal plan, private amenities, and much more while still being nearly on campus. These are a few things that up the cost tremendously
Ok but I looked at costs and you have to pay $23,000 per 9 month term if you want your own bedroom and are not part of the SMART program (for students on financial aid). That's $2,550 a month and you hardly get to us the dining hall b/c its so far from campus....
They picked my roommate for me, but that's because I opted in for it. I didn't know anyone else living at the dorm and thought it would be a great way to meet new people... and it worked! If you have a friend you want to room with though, they will absolutely let you do that and it's very easy to do (FYI: this is for Callaway, but I'm certain most dorms would be the same way)
I agree... it's very expensive but worth the investment if you want a really comfortable place to live your first year. It's technically off-campus, but it is very close so I guess you could say it's on campus
Depends! Having a roommate is almost always a great idea during your first year, but things like location, parking, and cost are good things to take into consideration. Read a bit about your intended college online and see if people stay in dorms or apartments more often for their first year, but dorms are almost always a popular option
nope! it's pretty 50/50. I'd say about half of my friends lived off campus in apartments/dorm combos like this one and the other half lived in official dorms
Actually, this is Callaway House, although 2400 Nueces is great! I highly recommend it for sophomores and upperclassmen simply because they do not have a meal plan and you are signing for a year-long apartment. Hook'em!
What dorm are you staying on at your campus? Comment down below! - Julia
I really wanna live here! Does it cost the same as the other dorms?

Did you get a full-ride scholarship?
Not directly, no. But I did get a lot of scholarships in high school
I wonder where she is after 4 years
Do they pick a roommate for you or do you pick your roommate?

Do freshmen have to stay in on campus dorms
They are allowed to live in either! UT just recommend being in a dorm your first year for community reasons
Is this on-campus or off campus and how much does it cost?
Leora expensive as fuccckkkkk. callaway house is nice as hell compared to the on campus dorms

Which is better leaving in dorm or apt?
