Put in for a Titanium colored Maxim 9 at $929 back in December. At the discounted prices floating around on internet there really is no comparison. The overall length and balance beats any traditional pistol+can combo. A major upside not mentioned here is that the RMR mount does not reciprocate with the slide, which means way less G-forces stressing on your pistol red dots.
Legitimately most reasoned criticisms of any firearm I seen. Hopefully Silencerco takes this as a beta test and improve. Heck, I've heard the newer version (post 2019) has a better trigger, to start.
Neat gun. If you consider the Glock, the threaded barrel, and then the silencer, you’re looking at around $1700 or so. I think this deal makes sense considering the use case is the same and the footprint is MUCH smaller. The MAIN gripe I have is that if I’m spending $1400 on a gun, I want it to run 100% flawless. At that price point, with a full, integrated system like this, it needs to not malfunction at all unless I’m feeding it utter rubbish ammo.
The keymod slots are facing that way because of recoil, the thing your gun is going to be exposed to constantly. But keymod is inferior to MLOK anyways.
Tinnitus is too late for me to consider, I want a loud barking, fire breathing dragon that gets the cops called if I'm shooting in my house at a "bad guy".
"You know, the Hush 165 stuff that doesn't like to run in anything"? Hush sells this 165 stuff as subgun ammo but it works fine in quality heavy metal guns... Sigs, 1911 style, HKs ... what it doesn't run in is piss poor plastic Glocks and guns built off the Glock platform - pretty much like the Maxim 9. 124gr if it's that hideous AE stuff can barely be considered subsonic as it often goes supersonic in the cold.. you know, denser air and all that.... AE 147 sucks too as it's the nosiest contender in the 147 grain class. Most suppressor people I know use IMI, Fiocchi, PPU or Hush 158 grain and like I said before the 165 functions fine in full size real guns. There always an excuse for a Glock not working... limp wristing it (but what if you only have one good hand/arm and its injured?, your grip is too low, it doesn't like that ammo, God didn't want it to work..., etc, etc.. The Hush 165 works in my Sig MK25, P226, P320 carry and probably will work in my P229 as soon as I save up a couple hundred $$ for a Sig threaded barrel... I sell a lot of Glocks - mostly G19s and some 17s, I own a few... they're just not my choice for much and have never felt right in my hands like a Hi-Power or a 1911 with their inherent Browning natural pointing ability....plus if you run out of ammo you can beat your opponent to death with a metal gun. Too heavy for EDC? A lifetime of chopping wood, fishing with a net and packing moose and caribou have pretty much made this 64 year old not bothered by handgun weight. Thanks for the video.. I didn't know about the "roll cage" issue... certainly something to think about if you want this as a duty or personal protection gun. Oh... I have a Maxim 9 on order... it is kind of cool! Keepeth up the good work!!
@@FourGuysGuns Now that I think about it I think I had to find the right suppressor with enough back pressure to cycle the Sig with the 165 Hush. It likes the Liberty Mystic X.. funny because its a monocore but is long and has lots of baffle slants and it likes the Tirant 9M.
This review needed more RoboCop references

Outstanding video man.
TheGunCollective thanks!

The ergos on that gun are so friggin awesome though
Concealed solutions holster company makes a holster for it as well
"I pinch..."
I would definitely buy one.
And I don't think anyone would complain about an additional 2"...
That would make a great pistol for my vertex bag
i neeeeeed this. if not to use it then to have it on display. it’s so unique
so you'd like an added beaver tail to this for safety reasons.
dexter122181 wouldn’t hurt anything but the aesthetics maybe
Awesome video! We need more videos more often 😂
Life and Work get in the way man... its not like I'm living off my $300 per quarter UA-cam earnings lol
FourGuysGuns haha I understand, just enjoy your videos man, definitely an underrated channel
Looks great for home defense/nightstand use
I have 2 of em (one still in nfa jail). And I agree about the trigger. I could just imagine how good these would shoot w a ppq trigger
needs a pistol brace and full auto
I'd buy one.
Just got mine a few months back.. Cant wait til its warm so I can shoot it.
What app or program did you use for your intro?

Adam even if that made sense... still dumb 😂😂😂
I got to ask why are your knuckles so torn up?
Combination of Psoriasis, sub zero temps and no F's given. I do too much with my hands to put the amount of lotion they need to be "normal"
FourGuysGuns I got the same thing, such a pain in the ass. I shoot in NH as well....cool vids
If it can't suppress dissent, it's not as good as a 1911.
Not a walhberg....
Kind of a wahlberg
crumbta lol
say cobble one more time...
hahahahahahahhaaaaa
@@FourGuysGuns I wouldn't razz on you if I didn't love you
robert wood dude it actually made me LOL
@@FourGuysGuns Well great review! I'm glad to see brothers from NH doing well!
You don't look like Mark Wahlberg. You might pass for his fat cousin but that's about it.

gsyoung54 I haven’t had the hush cycle consistently in sig 226 either. But thank you for the input!

Quality heavy metal guns and HK in the same sentence?
What HK are you talking about?
P30L, v3 I think it is, works well for me.
I get that a lot about HK pistols but the P30L, v3 trigger works well for me... and my rr German MP5 - well it's kind of a large pistol....
Can they make an uglier gun🤔
How the crap is it ugly?
