  • Chakhokhbili - poultry stew, national dish of Georgian cuisine, hot appetizer. Originally it was made from pheasant, but nowadays it is made from any poultry meat, especially domestic chicken. The dish is prepared from pieces of poultry fillet stewed in tomato sauce with the addition of spices and garlic.
    INGREDIENTS
    Chicken thighs - 1 kg
    Tomatoes - 1 kg
    Onions - 500 g
    Bell pepper - 1 pc.
    Garlic - 5 cloves
    Cilantro - 1 bunch
    Basil - to taste
    Fresh parsley - 1 bunch
    Adjika - 1 tsp. with a slide (to taste)
    Tomato paste - 2 tbsp. l.
    Dry hot chili pepper - to taste
    Coriander - to taste
    Khmeli-suneli - to taste
    Salt - to taste
    Vegetable oil - for frying
