Thanks. I ain't afraid to do mine. Get my car in two weeks. 2012 328i m sport
Can’t wait to see it ! You’ll love it
its good knowing some men still project not half-assing
Thank you ! I tried my best to do it all the right way and thoroughly
I got an N20 in my 4 series and will be using this as my guide to install!
Hell yeah !
Solid dude while watching i jad the same reaction when u throttled ot 😭😭
I was geeking hard brother 😆😭
Getting mines this week definitely using this video
That’s awesome to hear 🙏🏽🔥
That was awesome to watch mate.
Like a kid in the candy store at the end 😂 💪🏾
I was so happy g 😂
yeeeeheeeeee
great job gabe 🍊
Did you have any issues putting the cover on and hitting the MAF sensor? I tried everything to adjust it to sit lower and ended up having to cut the rubber bushing in half for it to sit lower.
I had to definitely adjust the sensor a bit and route it a bit more but once you adjust it you should be good
I’m most definitely doing that myself
i dont need to tune my car after i install this right? i have the 2013 xdrive
No you don’t need to tune it
I have a 2013 328i was thinking of getting an intake. Is it a noticable performance upgrade? The sound was awesome
The performance is definitely there I’d recommend doing a stage 1 tune from boot mode to see a noticeable difference
@@LWGabewhat is boot mode?
Does this fit for a BMW 3 (F30, F80) 316 d
Just bought one of these but kies couldnt ship it to cali since it was carb exempt 😭 do you know any ways i could get this into cali from other sellers
I would try bimmer plug 👀 it may not be the exact one BUT you can possibly get your hands on a cold air intake
@@LWGabeended up ordering for uro tuning its coming in today 🙏
did the intake holder come with the intake, and do i necessarily need it?
Yes I would put the intake holder cause it helps keep the heat out
Is it bad to use a cold air intake in a hot weather area? Will it hurt the car?
Unfortunately with the hot weather you will have a lot of heat soaking, so I’d recommend just putting the stock air box back on when it gets super hot out. I’ve had it on the car for about a year now since I made this video and I’ve noticed the stock air box feels much better when it’s hotter out.
i’m having trouble putting the pipe in
You do have to do some playing around with the clamp, make sure the clamp is completely loose and adjust the pipe accordingly
Is it worth dooing on a 2012 f30 320i for just the pshh sound ? I live in belgium so we only have 3 months of ‘warm’ weather.
I’d say yes ! It’s definitely an easy mod to take off if you have to for emissions, but for the fun and the sounds I’d definitely recommend.
11 days i’m getting a 328i 2016 bmw am hoping to do some power mods and upgrade the whole sound system, so excited
That’s awesome brother you’re gonna love it
Do this filter already come with a place to install the mas air sensor
Yes it does ! And it comes with two new acres for it as well if I remember
@@LWGabe bet another question would I need to tune my car to get the most out of it or does the car already know and it performs better
@@hectorespinoza7641 no tune is needed ! It’s just a simple install and you’re ready to go
the link to the intake doesnt work, i would like to buy and intake but idk wich one, I have a bmw 220d f23
I’d recommend heading over to Kies Motorsports brotha ! You can find it there trust 😎
Bro I can not find where the powerstern fluid go 🤦🏾♂️ looked everywhere
whatd u do w the line behind the old air box
Man to this day I haven’t found a spot for it smh so it just sits there 💀
@@LWGabethe vacuum line right?? i got a check engine light nd i was thinking it was maybe this but your running it with it js sitting there nd its fine?
do you have any ideas why i could be getting a check engine light i checked everything is right nd there is no leaks the car runs fine with the intake i do feel like the idle is a little bit weird tho but im thinking it’s js because the MAF is reading that there is a lot of air coming in. did you unplug the battery’s negative for the maf to like re learn how much air is coming in?
Thinking to do this myself, any issues with it so far?
No issues so far, I did end up taking it off and putting the stock one back on cause the temps out here are so hot. I’ll be putting it back on once the weather gets cooler, it’s just better for the car to run the stock air box when it gets too hot outside.
@@LWGabe do you recommend the k and N cold air intake instead?
I put it on now mine stalls on a cold start and I have to rev it
for some reason mine only makes the noise while my car is in drive
That’s weird ! Make sure everything is seated properly brotha
I’m thinking about installing this, but is it worth it if my car is turbocharged?
With all honesty there’s always pros and cons to installing an intake, I noticed a slight gain in performance but key word slight. It makes some pretty cool noises when driving and it allows more airflow to the turbo so if you have the extra money I’d say go for it !
making me want an intake sheeshhhhhhh
Ayyy man go get one 😂
Bro where do u bought the intake air ?
I bought it from ECS Tuning
🔥
Did you ever do the performance ignition kit you were taking about bc I have a 2016 n26 and I have this intake and the ignition kit didn’t fit bc how big the intake was so wanted to see if you made it fit?
I haven’t yet, I’m still thinking if I really want to but I think it would be cool.
Did you do anything with the ECU at all? I put it all together took it out put it back in multiple times and when I turn the engine on it’ll idle normally then start to stutter like it’s starving for air. And when I put it back in the second time my engine would go below idle then turn off
Thats so strange brother, it definitely does sound like you have a leak some where. Id email the manufacture or even check to see if the hose clamps are completely tightened and seated correctly. Maybe even the vacuum line if you have one.
@@LWGabe ok thank you for responding! im going to try again in a little bit and see if i can get it to work and im not sure i have a vacuum leak because i threw my stock one back in and it works perfectly fine so either i got a defective kit or i didnt tighten it down properly
@@LWGabe I figured out the problem. The upper pipe they gave me was faulty. They welded the block you screw in the airflow sensor backwards so I unknowingly screwed it in backwards.
Hey i know this Vid is old but i’m new to looking at intakes for my 2015 328i, i live in arizona and it’s hot as fuck outside like 8 out of the 12 months of the year. Is this still a good buy?
What up brotha ! So there’s always pros and cons to intakes, because of the hot weather- you aren’t really getting a “cold air intake” because there isn’t any type of cold air direction lol but it still does increase your power by a TINY bit. It also makes a very cool WOOSH sound when you accelerate so that’s definitely a plus as well haha
@@LWGabe yeah i was well aware it wouldn’t be any kind of power gain I am truly just looking for the pshh noise lol
Can you attach the link to get one?
Just go on Kiesmotorsports.com !
Ay bro does the box actually work for the heat or nah ?
It does work to a certain extent, like if its hot af outside then its not really gonna help anything. If that makes sense
could i install this in my 2014 320i ?
I think for the 320i there is a different version but yes of course you can ! I’d recommend looking on ECS tuning or Kies Motorsport
Do you have to have the cover on?
I’m sure you can ride without it, but the cover protects the filter
Great install video bro!! I’m looking to install this same intake on my 2016 328 (F30).. how has it held up so far? Any problems?
So far no problems at all and it’s held up great ! It sounds just as it did on day one. You’re gonna love it 🙌🏽
Intake still installed?
If so any problems?
How do you know if you have a vaccum line?
If you have one it will be connected to your OEM intake, if you don't (like me) then you wont see a line at all
@@LWGabe thanks bro I appreciate it , broke my turbo inlet pipe installing the injen but the mst inlet comes tmmr , appreciate the response boss!!🙏🏽
anyone know if this will fit onto a bmw 220i 2015 all the fitment looks the same
As long as it has the N20 engine you should be chillin g
damn i wanna get one but would it pass emissions and would the insurance be more? nice vid btw
It won’t affect emissions and your insurance won’t change at all, thank you brotha 🤙🏽
How much did it cost to buy all of the parts ?
The Intake was about $350, so it was a pretty good deal honestly.
Is dat carb approved?
Last time I checked online, Injen is carb legal in California. Don’t quote me on that tho 👀
This intake fits a Bmw 320i? x drive
This one won’t fit, I believe the 320i have the N26 engine. I have the N20.
How much would it cost if i get a mechanic to do it
They’d easily over charge you, I called and got quoted 300 for labor 😂😂😂😂😂
can you feel any difference from stock one other than sound? maybe a little bit performance boost?
Honestly the car feels free'd up at higher speeds if that makes sense but other than that theres no huge difference.
I did a muffler/resonator delete by cutout and I totally understand what you mean by that. The car feels like it’s smoothly flowing up to top speed just like 0-60. Note a great difference but definitely give you the extra 2-3 cars to gap people on the freeway 😂
is it smog legal?
^^^^
I believe it is
😂😂
