Just a complete class act, I remember as a child at a Reds game that I was at as a kid, Lou came over and greeted us shook our hands and gave out autographs, when no other players did it that day. I have always held a special place in my heart for Lou, he became my favorite player in baseball.

I have been watching baseball for over 50 years. I have never seen a better clutch performer in the World Series than Lou Brock (and that includes Reggie)

Lou Brock is always going to be my favorite baseball player until I take my last breath. He remains on top of my baseball cards I've had since I was 8 years old. That was 54 years ago

Me too. I lost my well earned one pack at a time baseball cards when our house burned down when I was 14. When I was a kid if you asked me who I want to be I would have said lou Brock everytime.

If he had stayed with the Cubs, we might never have learned his name.

Tom Seaver, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, Whitey Ford and Joe Morgan in a few weeks. What a terrible year.

Everyone gets old. But this reminds me that Baseball is not what it used to be.
