    What do you think about these "mini" batteries?

    Great, thank you. I'm looking forward to that video. I have time. I'm looking to put in the trolling motor for next season but it definitely looks like I'm going with the power queen

    Great video. Just looked at my charger and it does lithium. Two power queen minis for 24v is going to be a big deal for space and weight, thanks. They're like 2 100ah for less than $500.

      They are pretty nice for the space! Be sure to use a 2-bank charger for the 24v setup.

    Hello great video! Does this Power Queen Mini battery have IP65 waterproof rating? (Power Queen 12.8V 100Ah Low-Temp LiFePO4 Battery for Trolling Motor seems to have IP65 water protection, but it’s out of stock now, so I’m thinking of buying a mini if it has ip65 water protection )

      I would expect it does, but I cannot find that in their documentation at all. I have been very impressed with LiTime batteries lately as well, their mini battery is IP65 rated. Their Group 24 battery has a -lot- of nice features as well, and a heavy duty BMS (same as their trolling motor battery). Worth checking those out as well (ad)

      LiTime Group 24 (also has bluetooth) :amzn.to/49rNAI5

    What’s the difference between premium and premium II

    Really like your channel. Very good, straight forward info. I have a question, can these be used for a cranking battery on an outboard? I ask this because my outboard, 25hp Mercury, charges the battery as it runs. With these needing a specific type of charger I wondered how that would affect a lithium or if it’s not a good idea for that use? Thanks for your time.

      Thank you Bart!
      I am not as studied up on cranking lithium batteries as I should be. I have seen some folks say "no problem" and some have serious alternator issues because of it.
      I'll see what I can find out 👍

    Hi Sir
    I follow your videos and very pleased.
    I am considering economically priced lithium batteries.
    I need either 1 24v or 2 12v for trolling motor.
    Was considering these and would like to have your recommendations on them if possible of when you get time
    WEIZE, Power Queen, Li Time.
    Thanks and really like your you tube videos
    Thanks for doing these it really helps the average fishing guy.
    Roger.

    I'm up in the which battery I should buy. I'm going to install a minn kota terrova 112 72in trolling motor on my 24ft center console, any recommendations on the batteries I should buy . Thanks great video

      So far I have had great luck with the Power Queen, I will retest it this winter and see how it's doing after a few cycles. The bank for buck is pretty decent these.
      Depending on your budget, a single 36v battery can be a great way to go. Saves a lot of space, weight, but they are expensive. I have a MillerTech 36v for my Garmin Force trolling motor.

      A lot of the lifepo4 batteries that I see on Amazon are close to the same price. Are there any that you would most recommend or recommend staying away from?

    • @goodmanfishing
      @goodmanfishing  10 місяців тому +1

      @@ntj030885 I have not seen any I would necessarily stay away from, the biggest concerns would be their willingness to support a warranty claim, if needed.
      There are some more popular Amazon brands like Power Queen, Weize, LiTime, etc that I would stick to.

      @@goodmanfishingeco-worthy?? Was looking for some in Canada and not seeing much that is less than 100ah. I don’t need that much. Eco-worthy has 30&50 ah

      I have a small 23Ah Eco-Worthy that does not test anywhere near it's advertised capacity. Maybe they've gotten better, but I'd be sure to test it, if you buy one.

    could I used the 50ah one just to run one graph and LED nav lights?

    • @goodmanfishing
      @goodmanfishing  7 місяців тому

      Assuming you have a graph that's within 2-3a draw, I'd certainly say so. 50Ah is quite a bit of power still.

    • @chrispeterson1247
      @chrispeterson1247 7 місяців тому

      According to the Garmin website my graph has a typical current draw of 0.8a

    • @goodmanfishing
      @goodmanfishing  7 місяців тому

      You could probably get away with a 25Ah or less depending on how long you want it all to run.
