Renew President and award wining building designer Dick Clarke will pose the question - Why is Building Resilience so boring! - Its only life and death. Looking at what’s involved in building to survive and live close to normal when faced with heat waves, cold snaps, bushfires, floods, power outages, mains water outages.
Speaker:
Dick Clark - is Board President of Renew, principal of Envirotecture and an Accredited Building Designer with 40 years of experience. He focuses exclusively on ecologically sustainable and culturally appropriate buildings and has received many Design Awards. He is Director of Sustainability and past President of the NSW Chapter of BDAA. He has been design director of many hundreds of projects over 40 years, with sustainability at the core over that whole period (with the ever-changing understanding of what sustainability is), and his work has covered a wide variety of project sizes and types.
