It was embarrassing for the Colts to give up the biggest comeback ever, but Kirk Cousins' monster game helped me win my fantasy semifinal by one point, and I ended up winning the championship. The Minnesota Vikings are truly the NFL's most baffling franchise: One moment you have Stefon Diggs's game winning TD, Josh Allen's goal-line fumble, and Colts blowing the biggest NFL lead ever. And then the next moment you have Gary Anderson's missed FG, Brett Favre's interception to Tracy Porter, and Laces Out against the Seahawks. Studying a Vikings fan for the last 50 years would be a fascinating subject LOL
How about 4 Super Bowl losses 1969 -76 and the agony of the Hail Mary of 1975 vs Dallas. The 1975 for those who were around that may have been the best Viking team of that era and lost in the last seconds. Been a Viking fan since 68 and honestly started to loose interest when they lost to Atlanta in 98. That day, the Vikings won 34 to 14. I have been a fan ever since. I'm 46 now. I have never been to Minnesota but I still bleed purple. Honestly, the ending of this game felt like a College Bowl final. Just watching this on television felt so much like a family atmosphere comeback. Pure heart. What a comeback!
For those of you who don’t know, the old GE College Bowl was a popular quiz show back in the 60s, and went on to spawn local versions, most notably Louisville’s version called High Q, which was hosted for most of its run by the late Chuck Casteel and aired on WAVE 3 for over 30 years.
My wife and took our daughters to this game, their first Vikings game. I remember laughing & apologizing to them at the half but they were gracious and said it was still fun to go to a game. @@dizzer182 Who, besides you, even mentioned anything about unanswered points? Re-read my comment. You do know what a deficit is right? With 8:21 left in the 3rd qtr the score was 33 - 0. I was only talking about the end of the 4th qtr where they tied the game. OT is like an entirely new game played in only 10 minutes or until someone scores. @@trewilliams8411 The Colts being falsely ruled down by contact and taking away an obvious Vikings defensive TD with 2:40 to go doesn't add up either. If anyone is to blame for Colts losing it's the offensive coordinator for calling pass plays when they shouldn't be doing anything other than running the ball and chewing up clock. They gave the Vikings an extra 2:40 by stopping the clock.

Yea KJ Osborn played his heart out I’ve noticed when his involved in the game we tend to do well. I also feel u on that last touchdown by cook was incredible but he’s far from living up to the hype the guy has like a few touchdowns for the season. He should be getting way more yards as the safeties are always backed up coz of JJ and not as many players in the box he should be breaking out alot more. But the guy doesn’t have any power his always brought down by the first guy no yards after contact u will barely see him broke any tackles. With great RBs they always somehow squeeze thru the crowd and they’re on the other side ur like how did he get thru there but cook it’s like first touch and his down so disappointing.

What made it even more amazing was that the Vikings had to overcome several questionable calls along the way as if being down by 33 points wasn't challenging enough.

What makes it sadder for Ryan is that in both of the blown leads he was in (from SB 51 to Today) he's the one who takes all the blame, not Jeff Saturday for poor play calling in the second half, not the defensive for not playing a 60 min game, Ryan deserves minimum blame for this game. Yes, to have that called back and still pull off the win, amazing.
How was the qb sneak not a 1st down the refs are always crap in the important moments.
@@Yez_11 he was short the moment they called the forward progress was stopped so 🤷
incredible! that they allowed themselves to be down by 33 pts to a cellar-dweller squad that won't sniff playoffs for next 3 seasons
Reminds me when my Oilers lost to the Bills (1993)....it was 35 - 3 at halftime and I will never forgot going to the store at halftime thinking it was OK to breath. By the time I got home, the comeback was underway.
No not really
That missed fumble call was CRAZY
Absolutely, clearly was a fumble return for a TD.
made up with the goated flag at the end. glad they didnt let that bullshit slide.
It reeks of overcorrection from the BS TD given to the Dolphins in their loss last week.
I missed the game, but saw the replay. How in the hell did they not call that?! Was there an explanation during the game?
same as the spot for the QB sneak, mafia all over this one.
That conversation in the locker room during halftime must have been motivating for them to come back like this!
Yeah according to Kirk and OC, Peterson said "we will hold them, just go score 5 TDs, that's pretty easy" Kirk laughed because he thought P2 was being sarcastic, but when P2 didn't smile, he knew he was serious. Then it was on.
“Anybody got an idea?”
Strapon ept
What makes it sadder for Ryan is that in both of the blown leads he was in (from SB 51 to Today) he's the one who takes all the blame, not Jeff Saturday for poor play calling in the second half, not the defensive for not playing a 60 min game, Ryan deserves minimum blame for this game. Also congrats to the Vikings, not only pulling off the greatest comeback, but overcoming the bad calls made by the referees. Hats off to them.
Not to mention he definitely got that first in the last two minutes to ice it but yk the nfl had other plans once they seen the momentum
Yes the refs were shockingly bad today
THIS!! People are idiots if they put this on Ryan.
@@-stubbiestninja-7397 As a Vikes fan, yes, that was a bad call, but let's not forget the scoop-n-score that was taken away. EDIT: Apparently there was a second Vikes defensive touchdown that was called off by the refs, which didn't make the highlight reel.
QBs get the credit for Wins so it's only right that they get credited for losses. But yes there were a lot of things that went into the outcome of this game.
You gotta love Matt Ryan! Thanks again for the Patriot Super Bowl win.
This entire season will be one to remember for a long time. I didn't think the Vikings Bills comeback win could of been beat, but this was another epic beyond belief comeback win for the Vikings! So excited to see the Vikes in the Playoffs now that we won the NFC North and guaranteed our spot in the playoffs. SKOL VIKINGS!!!
Exactly! This has been an amazing and special season so far. We just have to enjoy the roller coaster ride they've given us every game. SKOL!
How is this exciting to see them make an unbelievable comeback to a team that has 3x less wins than them this year? They should've dominated them.
Vikes defense is bad. Not gonna dominate anymore. If offense is on though look out.
@@Borderican Imagine coming here to just post this bullshit. Everyone has off games and teams that they lose to that they seemingly shouldn't. "Should've dominated them" is a greatly out of touch with reality type statement.
vikings are obviously winning the superbowl
This game gave new meaning to the saying "it's not over till it's over." As a Vikes fan I kept watching in the 2nd half but I have to admit I didn't expect us to comeback, was only hoping to see better play .
When we were down 30 I told all my regulars get ready fr the epic comeback and we did awesome game and 2 fumbles that could have gave us the lead taken back it was really being down by 40.
@@rickeyjones729 YOU! You NEVER gave up.🥳🎉
@@marionhope7506 watching My oregon state beavers win the las vegas bowl and calling my Vikings comeback when kirk through the pick 6 in 2nd quarter the day couldn't have went any better what a glorious Saturday SKOL!!!
This was such a great comeback, I love how at 17:44 it is dead silent so Joseph can have full concentration then the crowd goes wild!!!!!!!!!!!
Hearing the cheer erupt is magical
I was there and the crowd was completely into it! When the Vikings offense was on the field it was silent, and when the Colts were on the field EVERYONE was making as much noise as possible. It was the best game experience I've ever had
They have one of the best fan bases in the country. Top 5
it is now thee comeback in the history of nfl
This just shows you anything can happen in the NFL 33-0 doesn’t mean anything teams can come back this was one great game
Not a Viking's fan but this was crazy. My goodness what a game. Props to them. And yes 'I liked that!"
The insane thing is, the last lead that was that big Kirk cousins was at the helm leading them back. When he said the “you like that line”
You VIKE that? You VIKE that?
What a pleasure to watch this game. Congratulations to the Vikings and their fans. You earned it!
When people ask who would you want to lead your team to a comeback? People say Brady, Manning, Rodgers etc. My answer is Matt Ryan on the opposing team
My guy is on fire
Blame the defense too
Savage 😂
Brilliant!🤣😂🤙🏼🤙🏼
Cruel. Yet Funny!
The Vikings are truly a miracle team
Unbelievable! Congratulations, Vikings on winning the NFC North. What a game-tying TD by Cook followed up by a successful 2-point conversion!
The Hock man did that😎
At this point Colts fans should just turn their games off after the 3rd quarter 😂
Yeah they tanking really hard
They like to do that 😂😂😂😂😂
Ok for everyone saying this is the greatest comeback just because it’s the largest, DOES NOT MAKE IT THE GREATEST! The greatest comeback is still and will always be the Patriots 28-3 comeback in Super Bowl 51 because it happened in the freaking SUPER BOWL! This was just a regular season game which btw was against a really good team against a really bad team! Super Bowl 51 BOTH teams were really great and it happened on the biggest stage with HALF THE WORLD WATCHING! Super Bowl 51 is still the GREATEST COMEBACK EVER!
Not only was this the biggest comeback in NFL history. The refs blew not 1 but 2 fumble recovery touchdowns for the Vikings
- Black Jesus has spoken
Right especialy that eagles game
Wow. An early Christmas gift for the Vikings fans. Impressive no quit with grit performance. Congratulations Vikings.
